Full Name: Sol
Nickname: Sun
Breed: Arabian X Quarter Horse
Height: 15.0 hh
Gender: female
Appearance: Sun has the qualities of her Arabian blood in her build. Though not particularly tall, she is long legged and thin in her shape. Her neck is neatly arched and her head is wedge-shaped ending in a narrow muzzle. In contrast to her muzzle, her forehead is rather broad and bulges very slightly. Her hooves appear fairly small at the end of her long legs.
She is a sorrel chestnut horse, with a reddish-copper coat and a slightly darker mane and tail. Her coat varies little, though it does appear to darken about her spine. Her nose is black and her face lacks any trace of a blaze. Her eyes are dark spots seen usually through her mane, which is often falling over her face rather than to the sides.
Age: Four years
Personality: Sun is feisty. The kind of slave that’s just asking to be broken. She takes nothing from her masters without retaliation, often ending up either with harsh punishment or at the auction rock in exchange for another slave. She refuses to follow orders if she can get away with it (and usually when she can’t, too). She’s old and loud about everything she does, often stirring other slaves into a frenzy. It would take a terrible lot to silence her.
Sun tends to be harsh in everything she does, down to her nicest comments. Granted, she can be nice, she’s usually just too truthful. It isn’t an unaware truthful like what is typically seen; Sun simply prefers not to hold back. She’s vastly opinionated about every little thing, which is very frustrating at times.
History: Sun was the first born of twins, which inevitably killed her mother. She and her identical sister were raised by two mares whose foals had recently passed away. They grew up as near-royalty in their herd, for one was to be the heir to their father’s territory. They would not reach adulthood before this bright future was torn away from them.
Not long after they were weaned, the father of Sun and her sister, Ray, was challenged and defeated for his land. He was banished and his herd became slaves. Shortly before they were a year old, the mares that had raised them took them and fled the land.
They didn’t get far before they were captured, and the mares were killed. Disgusted, and having recently discovered their heritage, the new master of the land sent Sun and Ray to Horse Head Field.
Fate would tear the sisters apart. Sun ended up under the rule of a terribly strict master, while Ray was carted off to places unknown by her sister. Sun was claimed and returned several times to Horse Head Field. By the time she reached her current age, she remembered not her sister. Her stubbornness had landed her in a pen at Horse Head Field again, though on this day she was by a terribly familiar mare...
