.Run a mile for the cause // Lunatics 'til the day I die.
--( I used to be love drunk )--
Evening began to set in as a light figure faded into the approaching mist. Water began to stain his gleaming dappled coat a dark grey, allowing the spots that were splattered across his coat to stand out against the pure white. Small brown spots began to freckle his face, showing the years that had passed by. He was looking for somewhere to call home. He had no family, no friends, and no one to turn to for help. He was alone. The moon began to peek out from the clouds as it lit up the area around the stallion. It had been a long time since he had gathered up the courage to go looking for a place to stay. Lately Nelly had been wandering the area as a loner. He would pass the occasional horse or wolf, always keeping his distance, yet always close enough to be able to detect danger.
--( But now I’m hung over )--
The grey stallion always felt more comfortable to wander alone at night. He had been hiding in this area quite a bit lately. His coat blended in perfectly with the fog and mist that frequently settled over the region. With his quiet steps and hidden appearance, he was able to walk through almost completely undetectable. He could be known if he pleased, but was otherwise a light traveler. Tonight was the night he chose to go out and look for another companion. He didn’t want to start out with a large herd. If he found one or two other horses, he would be fine. Nelly had always dreamt of one day ruling side by side over a vast herd with many horses, all living together in harmony. Never facing danger, just falling into a slight predicament at the most. His mother had shown him how to be kind, while his father taught him how to keep watch over everyone. In order to stay in charge, you had to have rules. Without rules, everything would fall apart.
--( I loved you forever )--
Nelly continued to walk through his swampy surroundings. He was trying to find a way up out of the clouds that scattered across the ground. He would never find anyone with this fog covering everywhere you looked. He had heard rumors of a plague that was spreading through Sobibor which lead him to this draw for company. He was scared, yet determined to find someone to be the love of his life before his death. He has once had someone to love before that night. The night that his mother died. The night his father betrayed his family. His father had chosen someone for him. Her name was Nethalia. She was both beautiful and kind, and reminded him much of his mother, yet she was also an heir to a herd, which was why they had chosen her for him. When his father killed Nelly’s mother, he left without a trace. Though it had broken his heart, he had to leave. He would be next. He had known the truth about is father. If he had remained within the herd lands it would have been the end of him. So he had to leave, Nethalia along with the rest of his life. Now was his time to start over. As he broke out from the fog at the top of the cliff, he came across a cave. He knew not what laid ahead, but he felt a draw to it. To look father into the depths to start over this new life.
