T H Y R A Slender in form, a grey figure slowly slunk in between the garbage of humans. Golden optics closely surveyed the surrounding area, watching as if waiting for something. Or even possibly someone. Thyra's mind was trailing slowly as she cautiously placed a paw out of her shadow, careful in her judgment. Ever since the packs had reformed and her father, Zytico, had lost his stature as an Alpha, things in Sobibor had been worse off for her. No longer was she "daddy's little girl". Oh no. She had to protect herself, regardless of what it took. Before the changes spread a dream life where everything was at her claw tips. Compared to the dump she was living in, it seemed like a royal place to be granted. Thyra had been trying her best not to dwell on the past events, but they always regressed back to her somehow. Nowadays, the she-wolf spent her days staying away from anything male, but mainly anything that moved, just to be certain. The female watched from the darkness day to day, slinking around in this forgetful city, fearing for whatever headed her way next.
The reason for her behavior was rooted in an event that had taken place just as she left Suyaust. Hurdling over her border, Thyra had heard shouts of pain from the Amareta sidelines. Of course, the princess had to check everything out. She couldn't have lived with herself if she had left an innocent creature to die. But it all a huge mistake as she had glanced through the trees, watching a group of wolves ruffed up and split among their oppressors. Thyra had only vaguely heard what they said before she was sprinting faster than she ever had in her life. One stunning female had been pulled away into the bushes by a rather rough-looking male for who-knew-what, while the others were split into groups for the auction block. No matter how many wolves had been there, Thyra had fled, unable to give them the time of day.
Zytico's daughter crept out of her hiding spot after she wiped the memories away, pestering herself not to think such things. There was nothing she could have done. With the argument settled, Thyra sauntered out into the moonlight, her usually grey fur turned a dark white in it's gaze. Orbs glistened as a hawk cawed from high above. Thyra's audits immediately pricked in response, sending her back into alaert mode as she began to scavenge for a morsel to eat. She was so hungry. . . Within a few moments Thyra's teeth connected with a chicken bone as she sniffed about the trash. She delicately lifted her prize out, setting a fast pace as she made for a building down the street. Over her stay at this place, Thyra had begun to find key points for herself and keeping things away from the other wolves that roamed. One such find had been an old abandoned hotel, probably a fashion statement of glory in it's prime.
Thyra's claws clicked loudly as she urged herself onward towards her destination. Once the wolf reached the broad, wooden ornamented doors, her bodice slipped inside, silently portraying that nothing in this town had changed ever since the humans had died. Thyra rushed more as she reached a blocked staircase, pushing off with her hind legs forcefully to make the clearing. In mere bounds she was already up the stairs, her legs imitating pumping irons as she stretched to make her distance. Floor four. Turning out the exit door, Thyra used more caution as she approached the interior hotel rooms. Common sense and knowledge told her other wolves lived here as well, even though she had never seen anyone but herself within these walls. Thyra's paws padded to a complete stop as she neared her door, which stood closed. The she-wolf had been cunning in her daily stealth of hiding; she always closed her door when she left, and had found the perfect solution to opening it. Thyra's body was thrown upwards as her paws came out, pulling down effortlessly on the handle as she shoved her weight forward. When she had first arrived, the wolfess had figured some type of lock or key had been in use, but with the apparent deformity of her door lock, she could only assume it wasn't working due to the human's departure. Turning into the farthest room an the left, Thyra heaved a sigh of relief.
Thyra struck up a calm pace as she walked down the hallway, her chicken bone clamped securely between her teeth. Before her laid an open room with two other doors attached on the right side; one lead to a strange room with slick surfaces and dips in the features, while the other lead to a soft nest like structure and comfortable bedding. Thyra relished the idea of taking naps in this particular room in the day when she was "home"; it was cooler than sleeping on the porch when the sun was high in the sky. The female strode over to her partial kitchen, leaping up onto the top counter to place her newly found item there. Besides her chicken lay a mass of misplaced items she had found interesting or acceptable for her stay; a chain necklace of a former girl, a shinning circular object with some type of foreign inscription, a tiny sparkling bottle of small, minuscule star-like objects that had caught Thyra's eye in an old department store. Amongst other novelty items that had brought her amusement lay Thyra's new chicken bone, a meatless bone, but one all the same. Contented, Thyra leaped off the counter, making her way to her overhanging porch. Here the fresh air flowed into her home, filling it with the scents of the wild. Whenever she looked down off her balcony, Thyra usually felt a sense of thrill run through her veins. It was quite high up here and her senses were heightened, without the thought of plausible danger. For now, she was safe. Another day in the city, another step closer to possibly joining a pack. Joining a pack. . . The thought drifted through the female's mind, her eyes fluttering closed before she fell asleep.

J a V v Y
Javvy woke up from one of his usual dreams, which were mostly about him and his brother escaping their mother and getting in some sort of trouble. This particular one was about when he and his brother found a huge oak with places where you could sleep without being seen. They slept there for a whole night and got in huge trouble when their parents found them. He grinned at that memory. He got scared by pretty much everything and his brother would scare it off and tell him he didn't have to worry about anything, he would take care of anything and everything that thought they would make an easy dinner. His grin grew bigger. His brother was always the brave one. His grin faded when he remembered that he no longer had a brother. He was alone.
Javvy sighed and shook himself awake getting his surroundings. He was still in the house with a sign on it that he didn't understand. His room was just like the other rooms he saw. From what he could tell there must be other animals, probably other wolves, that slept here. He looked out the window. The sun was just reaching over the hills, which would explain the faint snores of a wolf somewhere in the house. Javvy stretched and headed towards the door. He found out how to close it and open it when he started scratching at the handle which turned it making it open the door. He did this again and got outside to watch the sun rise and get some fresh air.
He walked through the debris and found a good big rock and climbed up on top of it. Here he could see the sunrise perfectly and have the sun's rays sink deep into his fur warming him up. Now he could think straight without being in such a small enclosed space. Here the whole world spread in front of him, the whole world to explore and visit. He sat down on the smooth warm rock feeling more natural than the comfortable but strange human bed. His fur turned almost blood-red like the stripe on his muzzle from the sun's red rays.
Javvy sat there for what felt like an eternity until the sun was back to it's normal color and, with aching legs, Javvy got up and looked around. He looked at the house with the sign where he came in. He always knew other animals slept there but he never actually caught one, since he always got up so early to see the sunrise and think. He wondered, not for the first time, why the humans left this place. He looked up at the platforms at the top of the house with the sign, he made a mental note that next time he should get a room up high. He spotted something on one of them which at first he couldn't tell what it was, but when he started looking closer he could tell that it was a wolf. Finally! he found a wolf that lived or slept in the huge house. Before he could tell anymore about it it dashed inside. Javvy, overcome with curiosity, headed inside to see the the wolf.
He started going up the steps that seemed to just keep going up. When he got up the room he thought must be the wolves room he guessed that the best way to get it's attention would be to scratch on the door and say hello. "Hello? anyone there?"
