Freyja cantered swiftly through the dark woods; she had been this way a few times now, and knew the land. While it could be difficult to fit her broad trunk between the trees, she had found a way. Often, though, she had to pause and wait for Elu to catch up.
When they burst forth into the open meadow, Freyja galloped an extra hundred lengths ahead. Look! she seemed to say. Look at what is mine.
She turned to watch Elu, wondering how he would react to the place she called Zephyr.

Elu followed diligently, having a difficult time keeping up with the much longer legs of the huge horse. However, she would have to slow down to get through trees and that made it easier to keep up with her at some points. Making his way out of the trees, he leaned against one of them, catching his breath before looking up at the very open meadow that stretched out before him, jaw dropping at the beauty of it.
It was wonderful! Plenty of grass, and open for one to run in. This was paradise.
“Mistress, it is truly beautiful.”

Freyja smiled inwardly. Good, someone besides her saw the value in the land.
"Is it not glorious, Elu? Is it not magnificent?" She rolled her orbs heavenwards, gazing at the wondrous sky above her. She could almost taste the day when foals would romp in the fields, and she could trot peacefully among her grazing herd.
A meadow lark shot into the sky, and Freyja sighed, listening to its distinctive song. Yes, this was the life for her.

Elu watched as his master enjoyed herself, probably planning ahead to where everything went. To be able to call a place home, to own somewhere and not have to worry about someone getting bored with you and giving you away. He hoped he could know what that felt like one day.
Coming further into the felid, he could smell the sweet grass, could feel the warm sun. Though it was cold in the air, the place almost had an eternal warmth to it. He could see why she picked such a place.
“It is truly wonderful. A prime location, Mistress.”
