A surprise in the willows

Demon slowed his pace and came to a stop near the pond. Leaning down he took a long gulp at the water. Raising his head Demon looked at Lupe. "Would you like some water" He asked her in a friendly manner. He put his head back down to the water to take another sip of water. Flicking his tail in a lazy, happy manner he twitched his ears back and forth waithing for Lupe to answer his question. Demon's Chestnut coat gleamed in the sunshine and his eyes looked lighter than they did before.

Lupe followed Demon, head held high per usual. She watched as he stopped near a pond, before taking a long drink. He then lifted his head and turned towards her, asking if she would like something to drink, before taking another sip. He then turned to watch her, awaiting her answer. Lupe shook her head, though she was a bit thirsty. "No, master. Thank you." She said. She had calmed down considerably, yet it was always easy to become wild again.

Demon frowned at Lupe. "Alright" He said simply while walking towards the circle of willows in the middle of the land. "Tell me Lupe have you ever dreamed of being a free-roaming mare" He asked still walking towards the group of willows. Once he got there hes stopped and turned around watching Lupe. He had something hidden in the question but it wasn't obvious flicking his tail at some flies Demon studied Lupe closely.

Lupe followed Demon, coming to stand beside him. She though nothing of the question, so she answered truthfully. "I suppose I have; what slave hasn't though of so? Not that I mind being a slave, as I hardly consider myself such, though I know I am. But yes, I guess it would be nice." She said, flicking her tail and glancing over at the stallion thoughtfully.

Demon looked at Lupe. "I need a mare who is strong willed and isn't willing to give up as my lead mare" He grinned at Lupe. "Know anybody?" He asked her the question then went inside of his circle of willows. Walking to the back side of the willows he waited for Lupe to follow him. Interested in what her answer would be Demon stood grinning while swishing his tail back and forth like an impatient child.

Lupe stood outside of the willows, looking a bit surprised. But then she recalled that Lupe Fiasco never faltered. Allowing a smile to cross her features, she stepped forward into the circle of willows. She looked over to where Demon stood, head held ever-so-slightly lower than usual. "I suppose I do." She said, a slight hint in her voice as she watched the stallion for his reaction.

Demon just smirked some more. "Oh really and who might this be?" He asked while circling Lupe. "Is it someone i know by anychance." He moved to her backside where he nuzzled on the tip of her tail. Moving again to face her he grinned at her. "I bet this mare is pretty special eh" He grinned again and moved back to his orignal spot. Waiting paitently for her answer his tail actually still for the moment.

Lupe chuckled. "Why yes, I do think you've met her before." She said, circling around him and stopping at his side. "Special is another thing, it depends on how you look at said mare. But, I believe she's right beside you." Lupe said softly, smiling slightly. She glanced around at the surrounding willows, barely having noticed the beautiful trees before. She then looked back to Demon, still smiling and awaiting his response.

Demon acted surprised. "Oh really where" He said trying not to grin as he looked around Lupe. "I don't see here" Demon looked over to Lupe. "You must out of you're mind" He said playfully leaning over to nuzzle her withers. Grinning at her Demon bumped her gently with his nose. "Do you need some mental help?" He asked again grinning to let her know he was only joking. Moving his muzzle up to her ear he whispered. "I think she would be the perfect mare".

Lupe laughed slightly as he joked around, smiling. When he whispered that he thought she would be perfect, Lupe couldn't help but grin and look at him, slightly surprised. She had to admit, she had always thought she would be a slave for life. Never did she think any stallion would actually choose her for lead mare. But it was happening, and Lupe was quite surprised. "Thank you." She said softly.

Demon smiled as Lupe thanked him. "There's only one condition but i think you will agree" He looked at Lupe with a stern look. "You must stay here with me" Demon was sure she would agree for he was the one to give her her freedom. Smiling Demon decided that he had made the right choice. "I assure you no other stallion shall put you into the shackles of slavery as long as i am here with you" He smilied and tossed his head up making his chestnut mane fly.

Lupe nodded her head quickly at his condition. "Of course." She said, nodding once more and flicking her tail. "This is my new home, after all. I would not dare leave." She said. The mare was quite happy for once. Not only had she found a true lace to call home, but she had found another that could possibly grow to care about her. Yes, she was satisfied with her day so far.

Demon smiled at her response. Laying down Demon rolled then sat back up. Looking up at Lupe he motioned for his new lead mare to come lay by him. "Today has been a long day i do believe we both deserve a rest." Waiting for her to lay beside him he listened to the world outside of the willows. He heard bird's chirping slowly die down as the day came to an end. Sighing he thought today was a wonderful day.

Lupe nodded and walked over to where Demon was, lowering herself and laying down beside him. Lupe smiled, shaking her head slightly. She had to admit, it had been a long day, and she was tired. Her chest was still sore from where she had been injured earlier, but she put the thought aside. Her wounds would heal soon enough, so she would simply enjoy the moment while she could.
