Walking onto the beach,Between blood and bonds looked around.

Look at them all.Pathetic. She thought to herself,with a little bit of disgust.

Blowing out her nare's,Between blood and bonds,started pawing at the sand.Shaking her long silver locks,she took off running threw the sandy beach,with her banner held high,kicking up sand,as every stride she took,brought her faster then the previous one.

It was beginning to get dark,and the star's started to dot the sky,as the moon paved her way in it's silvery light.Slowing down to a walk,Bloody Bonds' side's were heaving,and warm breath was being blown out from her nares.

She looked up at the moon,and closed her brown orbs,before opening them to stare out at the beach below her.She had stopped on top of a small sand dune,over looking the entire beach below her.

Look at them all down there.All happy and content with their lives.Most of them don't even know how cruel the world can be.They don't know what it truly means to be alone.

A light wind picked up,and and quickly died back down.Between blood and bonds,took off running down the dune,spooking the other's of her kind,causing them to spook,and run a few strides before going back to what they were doing before Bloody Bonds had interrupted them.

She ran until she came to a some fresh water.Between blood and bonds,stopped,and began drinking,before she turned around,walked a few strides,and began pawing at the sand below her,as thought's of her past came swarming threw her mind.

Between blood and bonds was born in late spring.Her dam had died shortly after giving birth to her.It was up to her sir to raise her.He gave her the name Between blood and bonds,because of the bond he had with her dam.She was the bond that was between the two of them.Her sir was a ruthless killer,and taught Between blood and bonds everything he know.He died in a fierce battle to protect their herd against a younger,stronger stallion.Between blood and bonds was not even a year old yet,when this happened.When this new stallion took over the herd,he chased most of the foals away,including Between blood and bonds.With what her sir had taught her,Between blood and bonds roamed the lands alone,coming in contact with a few other's of her kind,who quickly chased her away,as soon as they found her tormenting their foals.She was yet again on her own,defending for herself,with the night and the moon as her only companions.

Between blood and bonds,may seem like a quiet and shy filly,but that is only an act.She's a sadistic girl,who craves the life and the blood of those around her.She also takes pleasure in watching other's suffer.She'll wear an emotionless mask,never showing what she truly feels.Her eye's are the only thing that will give her away.Hot headed,and easily angered she may be,but Between blood and bonds also has a sensitive side.Her heart is as black as the night sky,and as cold as the depth of the ocean.

She blew out her nare's as she continued to paw at the sand,waiting for a stallion to come and clam her as his own.

Flat ^Tone

Laying solemnly in a patch of dead grass above the rest of the golden beach, a crimson eyed stallion waited for nothing at all, he simply stared off into the distance, a look of deep sorrow in his gaze. The stallion was a deep black, so dark was his sleek coat it even dared to shun the sun's rays, leaving his figure cutout from the rest of the landscape. He watched pups and foals romp with each other in the precious grains of the beach, but his pointed ears remained limp and did not catch the sounds carried upon the breeze. His heart was heavy with his depression, a depression that had been toying with his mind since his mother abandoned him.

Tone sighed, exhaling sharply and holding back tears. His father had taken to sending Tone away to claim new herd members and this was his first break, so his emotions had grasped the reins even as Tone earnestly attempted to control them. Not a tear strolled down the draft mix's cheek, however, he certainly did wish to just break out into a crying spell. The white speck on his hind leg contrasted greatly from his midnight-hued pelt, a flaw on his coat. He had been reminded of this flaw often, just the thought of it made him want to bawl even more.

Suddenly, a flurry of movement blinded his sight, rushing by without any consideration for anyone. Tone's ears whipped back as a dark arabian mare galloped by, stopping near a pool of fresh water by the rocks. Tone watched the vixen drink her fill before she whirled around and trotted a little distance away, watching the stallions down on the beach, probably wishing to be claimed. It was strange though, Tone scrutinized the lovely arabian mare, her eyes fiery and full of life, the opposite of his own which were dull and lifeless. Tone had remembered what his father told him, about the snow-white arabian mare who had tricked him into getting her pregnant. It was because of that story, Flat Tone did not much appreciate the breed, however, it wouldn't hurt to see what this minx was up to.

Getting to his hooves, Flat Tone took a couple sweeping strides toward the arabian, closing most of the gap between them. Mustering up some courage, which was slowly dwindling, mind you, he greeted her.
"Good day, miss, is there something that you be seeking?" his tone was awkwardly monotone and devoid of much feeling. It would be hard discerning a question from his horribly flat voice.

Standing at his full height, it was plain to see how much taller Tone actually was compared to this female. He had never been very close to a purebred arabian before and was shocked at how small they were. He was a good two hands taller than her, which wasn't much, but most the horses within his father's herd were around his size, except the ones he had not seen yet. So the size difference surprised him.

Straightening his form, he could feel his skin crawling with nervousness, how would she react to his sudden presence?

She looked out at the other's for a few moment's, just watching with an intense gaze. Turning her gaze to look else were, Bloody Bonds' emotionless mask, was starting to break, showing her true emotions. She quickly shook herself, and pieced her mask back together. Seeing other's who are happy when they have a herd of their own, almost always made her sad.

She longed to be excepted for who she is. It's not her fault that her sir raised her to be like him, so why did they have to take it out on her.She flicked her ears to the side when she heard someone approaching her, and she watched him intently as he spoke.

It took her a few seconds to respond. "Hello. I'm just looking for someone who is willing to take me into their herd. I'm not the nicest mare around, but I do have a soft side." She could feel the nervousness leaving her body, as she spoke.

She had never seen anyone so tall before. The other herds she came in contact with, were always around her height, or slightly taller. But being so close to this stallion who towered over her with his massive size, unnerved her slightly. But she stood her ground, kept her head held high, and took deep breath's to keep herself calm, as she patiently waited for his reply.

<sub>Flat Tone nodded silently as he listened to the mare's words. He furrowed his brows a bit as he thought of a reply. So she was looking for a herd? It was tempting to ask her to join his... however, it was certainly a death trap. Who knew how Darkness would react to this black arabian female? He was always very cruel to newcomers, just for the sake of leaving a lasting impression that would keep them in line... oh wait, he was always cruel, even to his own son. That's why Tone happened to be here in the first place, totally beat returning home to a dictator of a king. Tone could feel a tinge of anger strike him, but he quickly covered it up with conversation.

"I wish I could join another herd, unfortunately I would be hunted down and killed. I would ask if you would like to accompany me back to my father's kingdom, however, it's not always a pleasure to live where I live... especially since there are now four wolves running loose over the terra."

Tone wasn't afraid of the wolves like he was his father, but some other horses were terrified of those carnivorous canines, so it always helped to reveal that kind of info before bringing home a potential herd member or even warrior in the army. Flat Tone's crimson eyes absentmindedly ran swiftly over Bloody Bond's body, sizing her up and calculating her potential. When he caught himself he quickly looked away, feeling a bit nasty. His father had a tendency to analyze an animal's body and appearance thoroughly before making decisions, and Flat Tone had grown to inherit this odd habit.

"Uh... I'm Flat Tone by the way, a 'prince' if you will, to my father's throne." he swept downwards into a formal bow before raising himself back up and avoiding eye contact at all costs.</sub>
