Did I get your attention? Good. Anyway... Monday night, I took the liberty of piercing the top of my own right ear. Tio keeps staring at it as if it is a brain-eating alien, and everyone else is like "Gross! Does it hurt?"
Haha, so... yah. Lol. I just thought that I would share the news that I now have an earring at the top of my right ear, 'cuz I put it in myself. It HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURT, and took me 2 hours, 'cuz I'm a wimp and wouldn't just shove it through and be done with it. So... gwee!

Rofl, aww Anger, thats funny. I just got my ears pierced for the second time. The exchange student at our house after seeing mine getting done and me not even wincing in pain she decided to get hers done. When she got them done she started screaming, "Liar! Liar! Owowowow!!" Teehee, it was hilarious...

that, to me, seems like the worst thing you could've possibly done e.@
all piercings, especially cartilage, HAVE to be done properly, and taken care of properly, or you're going to wish you'd never even touched your ears. hell, I'll be surprised if you can even touch your ears now. you're going to get an awful build-up of scar tissue around your new piercing, and it's probably going to swell and be red for a while .-.
this coming from someone who has a helix and tragus in her left ear, and an industrial in her right. I can still tell the difference between my helix and my other three holes, because the helix wasn't done properly. ._.;
pleasepleaseplease consider getting your next piercing at a reputable shop? there are lots of them all over, and, while it is sometimes spendy, you know that you'll be getting something that is safe and sanitary. ):

*pokes* I still can touch 'em just fine, so long as I don't hook my hair around the earing back and accidentally pull it up... then it hurts. But I've been cleaning it every night, and it's okay. And I'll definitely go to a real piercer next time I get anything pierced, but I don't think I'm going to do that again, hehe. *runs to clean it again*

using a saltwater mixture and soak your ear in it for a few minutes, twice a day. it'll help the scar tissue to look less... scar-tissue-y, and it'll clean it really, really well. plus, it'll heal twice as fast. -nod-
and believe me, going to a real piercer, it won't hurt nearly as much. they use special needles (they're hollow on the inside, so that instead of just pushing the cartilage out of the way, they actually remove it), and it's much less painful than it looks. my eyes water a little bit, and I squirm (but that's just me... needles give me the squirms), but it doesn't hurt much more than that. my cousin squeals, but she's weird.
I'm getting a new piercing as soon as I have the money for it :3 I wanna get a bridge... or a labret. dunno yet. probably a bridge, though.

Bridge? Labret? *confuzzled* But thanks for the tip with the salt-water. I've been using 70% pure alcohol (it was in a container in the health idea) and washing the ear, hole, and earring itself twice a day. As for the special needles... wow! I never knew that...

a bridge piercing is when they pierce the bridge of your nose (it's a surface piercing, which means it goes under the skin, then comes back out), and a labret is a lip piercing - one that's right in the center of your lip. :3

*cringes* Well, I'd get the bridge. It 1) won't look like you're gonna attack someone (at least if it's a ring) and 2) it probably won't hurt too bad. I think it'll look awesome.
