Well, guess what? My dog broke his tail yesterday. He is trying to chew it off and I constantly smell blood. He also JUST had a REALLY bad seizure. I feel so bad for him. Help?

Oh action that is just horrible! Why did he chew off his tail? Has he seen a vet yet? You really should take the boy in.

We're taking him in tomorrow as soon as possible. Today the clinic is closed. Well, he's trying to. It's all raw and bloody. *shudder* But, I keep yelling at him to quit chewing on it and he stops.

eep e.@ I would suggest finding a way to protect it from his teeth until you can get him to a vet. like medical tape or something. even a few clean socks tied over it would be better than nothing. you wanna make sure it doesn't get infected, 'cause then they'll have to remove his tail. -shudder-
if you have an elizabethan collar, I would highly suggest putting it on him, and if not that, cut a cardboard box into a cone and tie/tape it to his collar. you really, really have to be sure he doesn't damage it further. ):

We went out and got a cone today. We're going to put it on him soon. I was talking to an online vet and he said that he may have seriously injured his nervous system. *shudder*

Eeps, I'm surprised you dad didn't take poor Rio (Or-rio lol) to the vet earlier! Poor guy. I give him credit though. xD I broke my arm once and wanted to chew it off, but didn't have the guts. Hope he's ok. I've seen boarders without tails before. They look like large cattle dogs. lol Relax acty, he'll be fine. Good luck, sweetie.
