so yeah, I had a bit of an accident,
Today I went to a small show, was loads of fun.
Anyway, after the actual show we had some games, the last one being the Rescue Race.
For people who don't know what that is, It's where One person + horse races to the other side of the arena then the partner on that side gets up behind the saddle and you race back as fast as possible.
well, My sister was on my horse and ran up, I got up behind and from the moment we headed back she started bucking, It started of at crowhops, but each buck got worse and worse. Until she was literally a bucking bronc.
Someone who had been watching had counted 15 bucks. No joy ride for sure.
Problem, we were hoping she would stop, but she practically bucked across the arena and almost into the fence. After the 13 buck I couldn't hang onto the back of the saddle. So I let go, but just at that moment she bucked again and I flew, Somehow I'd dragged my sister with me and we both fell.
The landing was nasty for both of us. I landed on my hip, It's a killer to put any weight on. Also I tried to hang on so hard that all my nails were all broken(they were the perfect size too:( XD) Also my left ring finger must have caught somewhere cause it's fractured.
Now the scarey part, My sister hit the fence, luckily she was wearing a helmet, head-on collision, It's all bend and one side is cracked. Besides a pounding headache and a couple bruises she's fine though.
The moral WEAR YOUR HELMET!!!! It probably saved my sisters life.
