The fae walked quietly into the place. Her figure thing from her long and grueling travels. The tips of her coarse mane were split and her sides were mud covered. Still a smile graced her maw. Her hooves struck the ground lightly and her pillars were long and nimble. Her orbs glittered with a interest and fascination of the new place. They scanned the decolate place; taking in her surroundings. Only small sprouts of grass sprouted throughout the area but she nibbled on them happily. She shook her golden brown coat as snow drifted around her. Her long winter coat made her look shabby in almost a ugly way. If only the stallions could see her when is was warm and she was beautiful; when sun rays glinted off of her pelt. Her memories drifted to her foal years, of frolicking in the meadow and chasing butterflies. That was gone now though. She sighed. Her mother and father had trained her well. They had made her strong and kind, but also obedient. She was a easy going mare, very easy to control. Do not think this fae is dumb, or unintelligent though. Her mind is precise and very accurate. Her tongue licked at the wet blades of grass and her tail flicked back and fourth with the swirling wind. The wind twisted her mane and knots formed. She loved the wind though, the way it swirled through the mountians and how playful and free it seemed. She wished she could play with the wind; have wings to fly with the birds. A sigh escaped her midnight colored maw. Her dream would never be fulfilled. As she watched the sun set she began to think of her future, of her past and of her present. Her past was not hard, but it was not easy. Her present was as good as it was going to get. And she had no idea of what awaited her, but she welcomed the suprise. If only she knew....
