RougeHow did I get here?
As bright sunlight filtered into the small den of a cage, the wolven awoke, a large yawn spreading across his maw. For a moment Rouge didn't know where he was--or why. Rank smells of dirt, sweat, and fatal blood wafted into his nares, a sneeze beginning. Realizing where he was, Rouge snarled, a rage beginning in his smaller body. Who and brought him here? Why? Thinking back to the night before, the memories came rushing back.
Last night had been spent under the tranquil stars of Crimson Rock, lazily residing on the rock itself, just enjoying the cool twilight breeze. That was, before the intruders had come. Dem and Idess both hadn't been seen in weeks, probably the cause of Crimson Rock's utter defeat. Taken away like a hostage, Rouge could only figure that someone else was probably ruling the terra now, someone that had removed him from his coveted position of heir. Today seemed a million miles away from last night though, and Rouge's blood was coursing with the thought that someone had sold him into the slavery he'd previously taken advantage of.
With a snarl rising in his throat, Rouge tried to get up from his placement, only to find that the cage he'd been assigned was a few inches too short. The male began to inspect the metal den more thoroughly and, finding a tag on the front of his door, bent in sideways in an attempt to read it.
ROUGE - Dem x Idess -formally a Crimson Rock member -hostile and diobedent; training needed -hard working
Along with his description, the tag held the number "798". Puzzled, Rouge let the thin sheet go, unable to read the rest. So, he really was a slave. Pfft, not like he'd be broken by any others! A few guards stepped over to inspect the new slave as Rouge stood up, a howl of murder lifting off his kissers. There was no way he'd give in to anyone! The brawny male sat, back hunched for the close proximity of the ceiling, fury engulfing him as he waited to be recognized by a master. [/color] [/sup][/blockquote]

The massive red-brown frame of Shanook stalked into Auction Rock, head and tail held high. Eyes of coal black glittered coldly as he looked around the busy clearing; a smirk twined its way onto his face like a snake. Oh, how the cold-heared brute loved the sound of pain and suffering coming from another creature! He took a brief moment to take in the strong smell of freshly-spilled blood and femmes in heat. However, as much as the scent was begging for the brute's attention, he was on a different mission; Nook had come for one thing, and one thing only, and that was for another male slave. Considering the fact that his most recently acquired slave brujo had turned out to be a real pain in the .ss who thought quite highly of himself with the ladies, Shanook was definately in no mood for any funny business.
Strong, powerful legs carried the brujo forward, his hard muscles rippling under his pelt. This was one wolf that any other wolven in their right minds would steer clear of, especially when he was in one of his 'moods' like the one in which was engulfing him at this very minute. Shanook turned his head slightly to the left to inspect the row of male slaves that met his eyes, no doubt snickering inside. They were all pathetic! Why hadn't their previous masters just slaughtered them and be done with it? No real wolf would even bother to claim the mangy flea-bags that the Benstripe Woods alpha saw there. As his cold black eyes scanned the cages again, they were captured by a pretty brawny brute in a much-too-small cage at the very end. A smook firmly planted on his face, Nook shoved his way through the crowd, knocking several slaves and a few masters over in the process. Finally, though, head and tail held high, the brujo made it to his destination and read the sign in front of the pen. Rouge? The former heir of Crimson Rock and son to Dem and Idess? Well... Shanook would definately-what? Idess was his mother? Now Nook simply couldn't keep that sly smirk of his off of his mug at the thought of having almost an entire -formerly- royal family as his own slaves.
"Rouge, eh? Well, I have all the time in the world to train your .ss if need be. However, if you have any sense left in that head of yours, then you wouldn't act up, or you will never get to see your 'surprise,' if you would call it, back at Benstripe Woods."
Although his tone was as rough and menacing as usual, no malice was held deep within it; considering the fact that the alpha had just recently dumped his own son and daugther at this dreadful place, unknowing of the dangers that may be facing them at this very moment, he could feel the pain that Idess must be going through now of losing her own child. He'd reunite the two, only to tell them that Dem was not to be seen again; he was long dead. All masters knew that by now.
"Come."
True, even though the single word was a firm command in its own way, it didn't hold any of the dangerous tone that it normally would--with any other slave, that is. With that, Shanook used a sharp talon to undo the lock on the too-small metal enclosure that was confining the slave male within. Then, the alpha turned and started stalking away, no doubt expecting Rouge to follow him.
"Not that you need to know, I'm Shanook, by the way."
That was what was tossed over the mighty brute's shoulder as he turned to make sure that his slave was obeying his strict orders and following him. If he was, then he would see his mother without hesitation from his master. However, if he was being a dumb.ss and resisting, then Rouge was in for it.

RougePfft, I'm not going anywhere. Bent over in a hunched, back-break position, Rouge cynically muttered to himself, the sleek orbs he owned glancing up at every master that crossed his path. It was a challenge, a fight that he felt he couldn't give into. Had half the masters caught his glaring face, the ever present smirk of a small victory would pleasantly be ripped off his mug. The beating sun that had arisen over the horizon hours ago now shone down on the metal cage heavily, Rouge's own temperature rising at a horrible, steady rate. Sweat beads trickled through his tawny fur, and Rouge's mouth begged the world for water. Still, the brute could do nothing about his inferior position; only a few hours before, the gleaming bars had shown his now sore teeth they would hold anything.
A growl instinctively rose to his throat as a rather muscular looking Alpha, or so he took him as, strutted up to his own cage. A muted glare was sent back, and as control to himself sank over, Rouge hushed. The brute in the cage studied the other, his amber optics similarly flashing like his mother's had a few weeks ago when she too had been taken. This seemed of the plenary variety of Alpha; one who acted like he was complete and respectful in all actions when, to Rouge, he was not even close. As the male finished reading the placard, his maw spread in a knifing grin, invisibly stabbing Rouge with the sense the male would have extreme enjoyment in tormenting him.
"Rouge, eh? Well, I have all the time in the world to train your .ss if need be. However, if you have any sense left in that head of yours, then you wouldn't act up, or you will never get to see your 'surprise,' if you would call it, back at Benstripe Woods. Come. Not that you need to know, I'm Shanook, by the way."
Rouge, retaliated quickly, his optics gleaming for a fight. Lett'm have it! It was a perfectly planned plot in the brujo's head; once the door was open, attack with it all.
"Training? Pfft. Try me, idiot. Your not training anyone. By the looks of your flea-ridden pelt your not even suitable to be a bloody master!"
His vocals rang out, growing in intensity as he continued to speak. This so Shanook had opened the door--wrong move. He should have known better than to un-cage the tiger. Pride swelled in Rouge for a moment, his pads tittering on the edge of the metal den's floor. Conform, or don't that was the matter at hand. His heart thumped rapidly in his chest and suddenly Rouge was utterly confused. Follow through and possibly die for nothing?
Springing from the position of enslavement, Rouge's hindquarters flawlessly bunched themselves together for a perfect jump. He rounded bout Shanook, loosely throwing out a paw in a tripping effort. If it worked, it did. If not, no big loss. His fierce, provoking howl sounded about the area, and Rouge caught a simple look of unsuppressed surprise on other master's facades. Let'um look! A few slave head poked over their cages and fences, eagerly rallying their own forces, the commotion of mixed sounds filling the air. Rouge clipped a corner, running pure and rampantly over the terrain, trying to find a good spot to stop for a moment.
His orbs caught a short fence that held nothing, at the moment, and Rouge jumped in, taking the thought of a head on battle with his new "master". In truth, Rouge could never beat Shanook with his current, less muscled bodice. His thoughts at this age were rash, unplanned.
He was in for a severe beating. [/color][/sup]

Shanook spun around quickly to face his newly claimed slave with a snarl.
"Training? Pfft. Try me, idiot. Your not training anyone. By the looks of your flea-ridden pelt your not even suitable to be a bloody master!"
Lips pulled back even more than ever before to reveal razor sharp white fangs that glistened. The very tips were stained a red color; dried blood, which wasn't going to go anywhere anytime soon. Before the brute could deliver the massive beating in which Rouge was destined to suffer, the slave brujo flew at his master and tried to trip him. However, it was poorly aimed, and Shanook took a side-step, leaving Rouge's paw to finish swinging through the air.
"Wrong move, dumb .ss."
The massive wolf's eyes blazed with both rage and smugness; he knew d.mn well that Rouge wasn't going to win. Wow, was he going to have fun with this one. With a growl and a heart-stopping howl of anger, Nook flew at the offending brute, claws and fangs no doubt stirring a high level of fear amongst all watching eyes. This was one mad wolf in action. With a single slash of his teeth, the huge maned wolf slashed a cut from Rouge's left ear all the way down his neck to his shoulder. Now, it was by all means way too high to cause any serious damage, such as a massive lack of breathing, but it should have stung the slave enough to let him know that this was a mild punishment compared to what he was in for if he didn't submit that instant.
Stepping back easily, Shanook's eyes filled with that cold glow that they always had, but this time, it was much, much stronger. A cruel smirk tugged at the brute's squarely shaped maw, and he let it do what it wanted.
"Now... are you going to follow like a good little puppy dog, or do you wish to see your mother, Idess, slaughtered before your very eyes?"
The lyrics that escaped from the evil brute should have been enough to stop Rouge in his tracks and submit, even if he hated to. True, Nook knew how hard it was to submit to someone else, for he had once been a slave himself, but that had been a very long time ago. All ideas of a possibly happy half-family reunion for the former leaders of Crimson Rock were erased from his mind and done with. If they were happy to see each other, than that was good for them. Their alpha was not one to keep family apart for very long, unless they both really p.ssed him off. If Rouge would just give in and accept his new life as a slave, Nook would probably lay off and leave him alone, possibly even allowing him to reunite with his mother when he got to Benstripe Woods.
This scum bag doesn't have brawn; let's see if he has any brain.

RougeI won't falter"Wrong move, dumb .ss."
Rouge didn't glance back as his paws hit the turf, his sides heaving for the effort to breathe, just simply live. His audit seared from the intense slash Shanook had delivered and although it had hurt like nothing he'd ever felt, Rouge had an instinct that was roaring to poor more of himself into his work.
To understand the complex mind that was at work, you'd need an inside view. Let me help you. As a pup Rouge had always been comforted as a prince. Idess tending to his own wounds from a battle hungry stick or twig had been a constant reminder of family and togetherness. Once his father figure had left, the family broke. Rouge and Idess fought often about who had forced Dem into leaving, and the two split. Although they really loved each other like a family should, the loss of their other made them crazy. Idess had gone on a rampage for love, while Rouge had driven out for power and control.
Without a father or a mother, Rouge had been left to the bare necessities. The slaves had ditched the pack, unsure of what to do. Achilles, Kohia, all of them were gone, now a mere memory fading quickly. During his few days alone, Rouge had killed and hunted as a true wolf. He'd been the wolf pack, surviving on pure instinct. Dem sure hadn't taught him any of the techniques he'd used. Now it all came back in a sheer rush; the wind in his face, the sun beating down, the agonizing ache of trembling muscles. Surrounded on all sides by masters that had joined in on the fray, Rouge now suffered from a migraine that slowly sank into his cranium. Rage coursed through his royal blood, sending the male into a state of fury. A waiting time bomb.
Shanook triggered it.
"Now... are you going to follow like a good little puppy dog, or do you wish to see your mother, Idess, slaughtered before your very eyes?"
Orbs flashed with a hint of suppressed vexation before settling back into a translucent state. Idess? A wave knocked Rouge off his mind's footing, turning the current of rage towards Shanook in once easy swoop. His lyrics were harsh, sounding more related to Dem's less perfect side now than ever before. What came out his mouth was probably a shock to all that heard.
"Go ahead. Idess never did anything for me! She left me! Left me! They both did. I never needed that vix for anything!"
His tongue lolled as he finished speaking, a rather glazed look coming about him. The day's event had been too much for the little bugger, and it cost him dearly. Brown-hued optics closed, and breath was quickly increased.Crashing to the ground, Rouge blacked out. at least, not on purpose. [/sup]
