Baldric
A regal form swept into the dank hole called auction rock. He sniffed the air his obvious disdain evident in his every movement. On the outside Baldric was self-assured and confident, but on the inside he was lonely. He needed wolf companionship his pack consisted of one horse. And now with the charming Lady Armelle gone his kind heart was more desolate than ever. He had traveled far and wide over Sobibor to find a new land, other than the dreaded Wekille which tore down his spirit with its cold indifference. He had found Shechem a land at once beautiful and diverse, and he knew that was where he would make his bed. Now he stepped once more onto the singularly most hated place to find a slave he could turn into a wolf. He was particularly interested in a mate, but he would take what Providence would throw at him.
Brown ears stood up straight and swiveled to a low growling sound, just a little off to the left Baldric's stern eyes beheld a dark hued wolf obviously knew to the term slave. Baldric's firm footsteps carried his impressive form to the wolf, he was chained and obviously had been beaten. Baldric smiled, a wolf that still had spirit would make his job a whole lot easier. Masculine tones flowed from the wolf's streaked brown lips as he addressed the wolf,
Greeting's fellow, I am Baldric, but truly I'm not much for formalities, call me 'Ric. What might your name and history be?
A friendly grin appeared on the kind older wolf's face, it was funny how he could seem so regal, and approachable at the same time. He was of an non-descript type, he wasn't something the ladies drooled over but he was not bad off either. Brown fur covered his form tipped with black, evidence of his sweet nature tinged with a bit of a temper. He was a fiery fellow with an essentially good nature. It wasn't easy to provoke his wrath, but his friendship was always freely given, one merely had to take it.
Friendly grin still plastered on his black tinged face, black paws shifted restlessly waiting for the wolf's reply. The hustle and bustle of the auction rock made him uneasy after so many months of silence. Black tinged ears swiveled as restlessly as his feet picking up every sound of turmoil. Baldric flinched as he saw out of the corner of his eye a rebellious slave being beaten. He turned away wishing he had the army he would need to stop this treacherous practice. His grin now gone he almost left the black wolf so he could get away from all the violence. But by force of willpower he stayed, but the wolf would have to be quick unless he wanted to end up with a less hospitable "master."
