The cage rattled with Bryant screaming with anger and fear. He was smashing on the sides so much, he bled. He dripped blood making a mess on the worn-out cement ground. A master trotted into the icy cold room covered in a must. Bryant fell to the ground and trembled in fear of punishment of the blood mess. He needed to make a run to get out but when? When could he brake free from this horrid dungeon like place. Days past and he still bled wildly, he couldn't stop. He needed to leave NOW he demanded. But that got him no where except into more dreadful bleeding from punishment of of slashing.

I Come To Buy...Her tan bodice moved her into the dreadful place. The dust picked up as soon as she took a step inside. It swirled around the femmae making her blink so her eyes were not covered in the dirt. She sniffed catching the sent of blood. This scent was not uncommon at slave rock though. Keen rolled her shoulders and shook out her fur. Warily she walked past the only other master in the room. Lifting her lips she shown her ivories warning him to stay away.
Flicking her tail threw more dust up into her face. A small cough was emitted from her maw. Looking into the pitiful cages that kept these wolves trapped she appraised the slaves inside them. A female wolfess caught her attention. She stopped broad side to look at her more closely. The wolfess was licking her tail, just trying to stay clean in this dump.
Ahem.
The wolfess gave a small jump but then collected herself. She stood on scrawny pillars. Suddenly the wolfess threw herself at Keen. Keen didn't flitch when her bodice hit the wall.
I don't have the patients.
Keen sighed and moved on to the next cage. Another femmae sat in this one huddled in the corner. She had the look of youth too her. The femmae's lips were moving. She seemed to be counting. 'Counting what?' Keen wondered silently. When the female looked at her she turned to face the other way. The whites in Keen's eyes showed as she seen the wolfess's bloody sides. Blood cascaded from the bodice to the ground. The wolfess was still counting, and now Keen knew what she was counting. She was counting the moments 'till her death.
I am sorry.
She wispered. Wearily Keen walked away from that cage. She could not have helped the wolfess in that cage. Repeatively she had to keep telling herself that cold hard fact. A chill ran threw Keen's body as someone opened the exit door. Whoever it was must have found nothing worth his while. Still looking in the cages she found that most were empty; that is until a cage towards the end of this seemingly endless death trap.
Keen stood looking into the cage. He was huddled in the corner. Looking at the slashes on his sides she could only guess at why. Evaluating him he seemed strong and with a good mind; although it was hard to tell when seeming them in such a discusting state. Someone came to stand next to her as she looked.
He's a trouble maker he is.
The brute next to her said. He tried to step closer to her as he talkd. One look from her intensely irrated eyes sent him packing though.
Demands he be left free, he does. No wits to him.
No wits to you more like it, Keen was thinking but she didn't say that out loud. All the female master did was nodd her head slowly taking in what he had to say.
Thank you for your time sir, but I think he may be worth more than you appraise him for.
Is that so?
It is.
Her menacing glare shoved him on his way. Once she turned back to the scared wolf she heard the brute laugh at her from afar. 'Coward', rang through her mind. The dust still clouded her vision but she could see enough. She smiled at him threw the mist. Moving forward she finally noticed how cold her pads were, but that didn't matter now. Her smile head and she twitched her ears forward friendily.
Well, well, well. I have heard some terrible things about you. Would you like to defend yourself or should I believe them true?
Expectantly she waited for his answer.
....Have I Found a Deal?

Bryant try's to tear himself of the chain connected to the old nasty brick wall. He ripped his head toward keen and snarled at her in frustration. Keen was just standing there with no expression on her face that he could actually read. Her face frightened Bryant and he whimpered and quickly turned his head away once again. Then he finally demanded to her, "Let me out! You will regret this when I get outta here!" He only wished that she was offended, but he did not know how to tell. She probably did not though, but still he could not tell. He wished that she would talk back to him but all he could get out of her, was nothing.... Well for the moment that is.

It Is Time To Take A.....The room was still dank and dreary but this one was worth something she could tell. She seemed to feel the air of pride in him; it was almost tangible. The question she had asked him went unanswered by the male. He seemed to think that by pulling on that chain he would be able to pull it out of the brick wall behind him. Keen shook her head.
It does you no good to pull on that chain. Have you not learned that by doing so it only brings you pain?
When that question was yet again answered by just lunging at the chain and a large body being thrown against the metal cage walls she took a step forward. He seemed to cower at the face of nothingness she was showing him; as he should. The nothingness was just a mask, a mask for her thoughts. So right now he could not tell what her next move would be.
The fur on her back ruffled with a draft as yet again another master stepped through the door. Keen didn't look; didn't flinch. Her attention was on the wolf in front of her not to those behind her.
Let me out! You will regret this when I get outta here!
His voice rang through the multitute of cages. Inside her mask Keen was a bit shocked. What had she done to him? A big body stood next to her then. She had not seen him before so it must have been the master that had sent the draft racing through the room. She did not turn to look at him.
He is not worth your time here ma'am. He's been here for weeks and no one has stayed as long as you have to look a' this fella'.
Keen nodded her beautifully carved feminine head. Flicking her tail in annoyance she said,
If you knew me, you would know I am not most other wolves.
The master turned and walked away shaking his large masculine head. Keen's peircing eyes still stared at the wolf in the cage. She had this feeling; an odd feeling but non the less a feeling, that this wolf, the one in the cage bound by a useless chain was special. Something told her she was special. The other master said he had been here for weeks. Surely that would do something to your mind, make you go just a bit insane; Keen was sure of it. She was willing to take a gamble.
Sir.
One of the keepers turned to look at her.
Unlock this cage.
He turned to look dumbfounded at her.
Unlock it now!
She demanded. Cautiously he did as she willed him too. Keen was not afraid of attack. Why should she be? This wolf was wounded so his energy was already sapped from the healing process. The other reason she was not afraid was because she was a leader; a born leader. When her father was still alive he had taught her everything he knew. How to work with size, shape, agility, and mostly mind. When she fought others swore it was a work of art and not a bloody battle.
The door to the cage swung open and the keeper stepped in to put a leash around his neck.
No
He stopped confused. Quickly the keeper took a step back.
But miss, this one is vicious. I tell ya' he is! He should be leashed if not anything else.
I said no! Now leave.
Keen hissed those words. Immediately the Keeper left his tail between his legs. If you did not know her you would have thought the wolfess mean and heartless. However her attidude is quite the opposite. She has a love for all living things and she makes sure those in her care and healthy and well. Do not take her for a push over. Keen is fair and does not take any nonsense from those around her.
The chain had been unlocked from the wolf's scrawny neck. What was taking him so long? Why did he not come out? Questions of concern rang through Keen's precice mind.
Come.
Her voice was demanding yet somehow warming at the same time. It was not icy and cold like she had done with the keeper but a warmer sunshine voice.
If you wish to live in my land, come. I will never chain you for I hate chains.
When Keen talked of chains she was defiant. Chains were cruel and unusual punishment. Any punsihment Keen would give would be an intellectual descision made by her.
Come.
She waited, quite calmly for the wolf to walk out of his cage. Would he come with her or would he not? If he did not she would be forced to throw him back in his cage, a action she very highly did not want to think about not to mention carry out. ....Gamble.

Bryant was shocked of her kindness to him so he sat and sat there, stunned. He thought that there would be a trap and would just put him back into the position that he was in right now, but in more fear then, more than now at this very moment. He looked up in caution and took a foot step forward to what was presented in front of him. He wished that she would say "come" again so he could tell if it was one of her dirty little tricks. He struggles to finally say "I'll come to the new land of yours." He walked out of the messed up, bloody cage hoping that it really wasn't a trick. Bryant soon realized that it wasn't! He was so happy he started to yip and yelp in an exited way. He thought he even heard Keen yip a little too, but that he would never know.

Going Home....Looking into the dark cage she watched his face. He seemed befuddled and confused. Slowly he picked himself up and walked out. She just watched. He was to make t his decision not her. When the male seemed satified he started to yip and a smile was brought to his maw. Keen too yipped with him.
Alright, alright calm down. We look like fools!
She laughed. It was true though. Everyone was staring at them like they were some kind of exibit in a zoo. Turning slightly she snarled at them. The fur on her back stood on end. Quickly the other masters and slaves went back to what they were doing. Ruffled she turned back to her new boarder.
Come, let's get out of this dump. I dislike it more than you can even imagine.
Keen was not one to make fun of. She would not stand for it. Still quite annoyed with the others she started to walk out of the dank room. When the door opened she was hit in the face with the draft that had been bothering her slightly all day. Her slender bodice shook to fluff her matted fur. Dust flew from her coat.
Ahh, that's better.
Her smile returned. Keen adored the outdoors. Inside she was cramped and dampened.
Shall we go then?
Her pillers picked up an easy trot toward her land....Finally

Bryant turned his head toward keen and manages to say, "You know, Someone has never been so kind, nice, and caring to me as you are. So I wonder why, why are you so kind to me?" Then just out of the blue, he collapses. Two hours pass....... He wakes. "W w w w where am I" He says in a forgotten voice. He saw Keen standing above him watching, but not just one keen three or four or even five were standing, watching him still. He yelped hopelessly, wishing that she would say something to him. Bryant could see her mouth moving on all of her beautiful faces, but no words. He could not even hear his own words. He asked keen, "Why can't I hear, I can see your mouth move but I can not hear your lips speak to me." He can tell that she is saying something, but he can't lip read so he just looked and stared at her. Bryant knew that he was a slave so he got up and started to walk again. He was dizzy, but he kept on walking with keen beside him. Keen again was supposedly talking again and as soon as she stopped, he could hear the wind whistling and the trees rustling. He loved the sounds and embraced them, for they could be his last sounds. A clearing he saw ahead and said, "Why, that is so beautiful. Is that my new home?"..............

An Unexpected...They were trotting toward her land.
You know, no one has ever been so kind, caring, and nice to me as you are. So I wonder why, why are you so nice to me?
She looked at him scrutinizing his face. Genuine curiousity crossed through his eyes. A loud thud rang through her ears as she watched him collapse. Realizing that he had lost too much blood from his wounds she quickly dressed them. She nudged his body with her paw and howled in his ear trying to awaken him.
Aww, come on. I can't lose you! I don't know why but I can't. Crap, I can't even call your name out for I do not know what you call yourself.
Quietly Keen laid down next to him. After one hour had passed she redressed his wounds. What had they done to him?
If you die on me boy I will never forgive you.
She muttered half threateningly. Her stomach growled almost as loud as any wolf. It was about time she ate but she knew she couldn't leave. Some brute could come and pick him off. A sigh came from her maw.
Standing above him she waited. If he didn't wake within the next hour; she would end his misery. But then a twitch and a stretch. He blinked at her and looked up.
Oh thank God you are awake!
A single happy tear ran down her face. Keen hated death. After Liberty was killed she had tried to become a vegatarian. Unfortunately grass was not enough to keep her alive.
The wolf looked around. Something seemed to be befuddling him.
Why can't I hear? I can see your mouth move but I cannot hear your lips speak to me.
Keen cocked her head in confusion.
But...
Slowly he was able to stand and then they were walking again, walking home. Keen kept staring at him. What had gone wrong? She shook her head. Knowing that he could not hear her she began to speak aloud.
How are you going to hunt if you cannot hear? I cannot tell you how. I cannot teach you my ways.
She stamped her foot in impatients. Keen screamed in frustration. Why did the world have to be so cruel?!
I will teach you. I will not let your life be lived in vain. You will hunt with me and you will survive. I swear, if I let you die I die after you because I am not worthy to live my life as failure.
The words echoed from not just her maw but also from her heart. She remembered Liberty and the same promise of survival Keen had given to her sister.
I will not fail again.
The wolf looked around his surroundings. She could tell he was dizzy for he did not walk in a straight line.
Why, that is so beautiful. Is that my new home....
His voice trailed off. How would she tell him that it was not. Slowly she took a step in front of him. She nodded towards the clearing and then shook her graceful head. Taking a few steps forward Keen threw her head in a manor that implied follow me. What a long day this would be. They did not stop again until they reached Carmesi.....Twist ooc: Next post in Carmesi.
