Night let its seductive veil surround the forrest of the Tazenda Cove land and the choruses of night bugs began their sorrowful melodies of darkness. The cricket's legs pulled together making a noise of single note played drearily by a single violin, like the note to one of Mozart's dark arias. Shadows filled the land, rocks and trees casting long oblong shapes along the frozen ground. A spotlight of moonlight provided only a slim margin of light trickled through the thick canopy of vegetation. Wind howled as it caressed the needles of the pine trees adding the next chord to the nighttime preformance. So now with the singular solo line of the violin like cricket voice was now paired with the husky voice of a group of cellos that sang a slow mellow song.
A dangerous predator stalked the night and the intent of it was to pillage and steal. As if a shadow it moved with a unnatural quiet and its color blended in like camaflouge. No longer was this terra safe from danger it was now inhabited by Erebus, a large obsidian hued American timber wolf, mature and experienced in the art of the fight. The dark character was missing half of one of his ears and half of one of his hind paws. Despite this and his slight limp his walk was eerie and meant business.
Fangs adorned the predator's mouth as he licked his lips flashing enamel siking himself up for a future confrontation. A snarl ripped from his gaping black hole releasing the stench of rancid meat. Blood stained his fur as he continued stalking deeper into the territory he claimed on taking on as his. Yes this was his first step towards power, his first step towards total power was on the rise. As he came to the clearing with water Erebus stopped and sat deep in his haunches and his chin raised to the open sky. Clouds clear from view and stars twinkled clearly down onto the clearing. A bloodcurling howl ripped from his jowls as he called for the alpha of these lands. "Bring yourself forward you inferior pup let me show you the true meaning of darkness."
The voice that came from his mouth was deep and gruff with threatening harmonies to match the dark aria of the night. Erebus returned to a standing position and he waited. Muscles curled tightly as he prepared for battle, poison etching its way through his veins. Now it was time for a fight, it was time for a new chapter in this wolves life. Ready was a word that couldn't describe the wolve's feelings. It was time.
