"Everybody tells me I don't know what I'm doing
This life I'm pursuing the odds I'll be losing
Everybody tells me that it's one in a million More like one in billion or one in a zillion. . ."Dovetail Dovetail behaved herself on the way back to wherever Grinding Diamonds haunted the earth. Her soon-would-be home. The rope, having been politely left alone by the black beast, dragged from her neck the entire way. She wasn't sure if he wanted to keep it on, or if he didn't mind if she took it off. Her mind was made up that she'd take it off at the first sign of 'home', then it would be there for him to snarl at her if he wanted to keep it on like a lowly mutt of a canine. Or, if he'd be a pleasant gentleman and allow her to keep it off.
The ground, as they progressed over the terrain, got more moist and spongy the she-wolf began to notice. More luscious, and healthier despite whatever the weather or the month or the season was. She looked around at the tall trees, it was a nice change. The whole land seemed... Kingly; for lack of a better word.
Timber wolf kept up to the male's longer strides, her skinny legs doing the trick perfectly by fox-trotting. Her mottled hide grew warm. Female looked up into the patched sky, the tree branches breaking the sunlight into warm little patches that fell on the earth silently without warning. Her mood unconsciously lightened.
Conversation was ignored by her, if he wanted to talk about something he could pick the topic or whatever and such and such. Weren't slaves, as some-beast told her, were supposed to be seen and not heard? Well, unless spoken to. Hm. That's what she believed should be for pups. Or, better yet in her mind, not seen or heard. What had triggered her detest for the little runts was hard to decipher, but she knew she did not tend to them well.
Dove would continue along 'til he called for a halt. Her favorite word was circling around in her head like an angry bee, but besides that fact her mood was lighter than before and more amiable. She wondered what the den would look like and be like. Random thoughts buzzed around in her head quietly, the sunlight and the trees were picking her mood up by the scruff and dusting her off. Only her tail remained tucked between her legs, whilst her head was higher, ears were perked, hackles were smooth and hair had been nitpicked back into order during the most shortest, briefest pause along the way.

Oynx was trail way behind her. He was testing her stubborn attitude. If she ran, he'd give her another chance. First he'd just show her how fast he would catch her. He listen intently for any sound of paw steps that took off. He also just thought of his betess and his slave. Oh how pretty they both were. But the slave hated him. That pretty much eliminated her from his love list.
Oynx quietly trailed behind. He entered his land and smell the scent of his scent markings. Quickly he scent marked again to make sure no one would come. He loved his land. It was so majestic and perfect to him. The creek and the flourish of animals was good. And it was attractive enough for wolves to come around and want to join. Oh how he wanted more wolves. He might just go to the auction rock and get one, then imediatly make it a free roamer. One might even take Dove as his mate.
Oynx quickly sped ahead of her and took his pace in front of her. This time he was going to lead her to the den area. He soon came up to the area and stopped, turning towards the femme. That den over there will be yours. Once you are a free roamer, it will be over there. Now, you may do as you please after one thing I'd like you to do. We need more kill for the fresh kill pile. I am going to call for your new betess and you shall go hunting with her. It'll be a good time to get to know her. He nodded towards one den to the other. Then he howled a long, loud howl. It meant for his betess to come.
OOC: I forgot the betess' name, so I just said betess. Silly me!

DovetailDovetail hadn't expected Onyx to allow her the lead. Nonetheless she still made her way to his territory with his help, when they entered his boundaries he freshened a few markings. She continued onward without a backward glance at his doings, her jowls eased open and her tongue lolled gently as her pace did not slacken. Passing a creek her tongue was hidden from view. Looking around she soon began to spot all of the wonder in the land that would soon be her home. It was like a world away from the outside world, a little escape from all the worries outside. Gentle, majestic, and full f nature.
A shadowy form crossed in front of her and her pace slowed slightly as Onyx took up the lead, she followed quite willingly behind him. They entered an area that she immediately took as the popular pack area, dens and such. When the brujo stopped she too stopped, then plopped her butt down and sat. Ears pricking to his coming speech. Eyes followed his direction of 'that den' they soon snapped back at the words 'once you are a free roamer', she'd have a different den. That was swell and fine.
Watching the larger male she rolled her eyes slightly as she looked away and around her, it would've been a hard action to spot, at the mention of her being able to do as she pleased. He continued. The kill pile needed more, well, kill. His betess would join him, and then the two of them would go off and bring back some kill. Finally! Some fun! Great time to get to know each other, eh? Well, she'd see about that. "OKay, summon her up." Mottled gray and white timber wolf kicked her front feet from out from under her and eased herself down into a laying position. Her ears twitched at his powerful howl. Indeed he looked like a Master, behaved like one, and knew how to keep it that way. Hm, maybe she would stay after all. OOC;; -waits for Ruffles/Cortana-
