I'm Not Gonna Write You A Love Song
I'm Not Gonna Write You A Love Song
A day like any other isn't a day at all.
My voice sounded in my head as I kept my walking pace. Pillars took turn lifting themselves effortly off the ground only to drop back down with a slight swing forward. The archs were graceful but on a dull day such as this I was hardly in the mood. It was effort that I frankly didn't feel like putting forth. The trees loomed around me and they seemed to whisper as that wind hissed through their branches. Pools of ice drifted up then forward as I felt the ground slowly start to incline. Just then though a peculiar scent filled my nostrils. I breathed it in deep then out in a semi-silent gust.
The air was untainted and it felt weird to me. I felt the blood run hot in my veins quickening with my stride. My pillars danced to a trot and as the incline became steeper my gaits slid to the run. Daggers sliced mercelessly into the green earth leaving brown gouges behind. My mane and tail whipped like black and white flags of a foreign country against the red color of the great canyon walls that soon presented themselves below me. I stopped as I reached the top and looked down to see a series of connected canyons filled with lush pastures in several areas and a waterfall along one of the walls. Once more I breathed in deep and let the carbon-dioxide come out in a loud snort.
Suddenly I found my cry lifting from my vocals. They slid through my parted kissers and danced beautifully into the air. It felt magnificent as I announced to all that could hear, that I was home. Soon my scream died away and I stared out over the lands that now were my own. In my mind's eyes I saw mares with their foals with me at their head. Yet within the images danced the mare that I had found as a mate yet my father's foal had killed during the birthing process. I could just see her beautiful cream bodice and her chocoalte eyes. My senses could almost smell her sweet on the breeze.
Fenregard
The words slid from my mouth yet were snatched away by the winds. It was the name of my mate and now the name of my lands.

Land's Name: Fenregard
Description: Canyon walls stretch high around the lush pastures of this place. Their red walls seem warm and safe yet can also seem like prison walls. A waterfall tumbles down the side somewhere nearby and all of this belongs to Hero and his herd.
