Three packs|Three paths|Who will you join?
Once upon a time, there was only one pack, one leader, one belief. Ruled by an Akita/Shepherd/Chow mix called Chase, the Alainn pack ran the streets with peace and understanding. That was, until a pretty little she-Husky came padding onto Alainn streets and two sets of eyes followed. One belonged to Chase, but the second belonged to a Doberman that was Chase's second, Tac. Both males longed for the pretty Husky drifter. Yet neither wanted to yeild to the other.
As time went by, Chase and Tac started to show their affections for the Husky, all the while, paying little attention to the other. This went on for quiet some time, until the Husky made her desicion and went with Chase, leaving the heart-broken Tac behind. Tac left the Alainn pack, taking what few followers he had gathered with him, cutting the Alainn pack nearly in half. It didn't matter, the Husky was with pups and new Alainn's would be born.
Tac moved his newly formed pack to the darkest part of the town he could find. They started calling themselves the Dorcha dogs, and this, became the yang to Alainn's yin. Tac turned all the Dorcha dogs against the Alainn dogs, all because he had been gilted at the last moment by the Husky drifter.
Yet, as the Dorcha dogs gew eviler, Chase's heart grew warmer, as did that of his packs. The Husky drifter turned out to be with pups, his pups, and the pack rejoiced at the news. It wasn't long before there were whelps running around the Alainn lands. During the time it took the Husky drifter-turned-Alpha Female, to have the pups, several dogs had broken away, thought to have gone to the Dorcha dogs, but instead, formed the Patuar dogs, a group of dogs that had tired of the, then, slight bickering between Chase and Tac.
On the night of the Alainn pups birth, Chase left the shared den between his mate and himself in search of food. When he returned, his mate and all his pups, except one were gone. When he left the den, he looked down the road and found his beloved, her throat ripped out and their pups missing. A few more yards, there lie a pup. The trail of bodies continued, second pup, third, fourth, fifth, until finally Chase came upon the sixth, and finally pup of his bloodline with the Husky drifter. The little ball of gray fluff sat between Tac's front legs. The pup was whimpering for his mother and father, while Tac just glared at the pup with distaste.
Right before Chase's eyes, his last and final pup was killed. At that hour, the good Alainn pack's name was stained with blood as both Chase and Tac fought a bloody battle. It didn't end well for either dog. Tac was fatally wounded, when Chase crushed his right front paw and grabbed a hold of his jugular just right, causing him to bleed to death. Chase died of a broken heart and blood lose. Yet, before either dog died, they lay there, their blood slowly dropping to the ground, glaring at each other. She had nothing to do with this, Tac said, with his last few breaths. I would have turned from you at some point in time, brother. With his last breath, the dark Doberman named his heir, while Chase had no choice but to die alone, his pack was nowhere around, only the bodies of his family.
The Dorcha and the Alainn fought many times after that, until there were hardly any dogs left to carry on the fight. That was when the Patuar stepped in and demanded a truce. The Dorcha Alpha Female, Kaia, was ordered to appear at the Patuar lands, with only two other Dorcha and the Alpha of the Alainn was summoned to appear before the neutral pack.
Can a solution to generations of fighting be found? Or will the 'War of the Drifter', as some as started to call it, gone on until there are no dogs to fight?
Make your choice. Chose wisely. There is no going back once you:
