Demon trotted into the meadow. The grass easily reached his chest which parted under his hoofs. Looking back to see if Cobalt, his new stallion slave, was following him. He grinned hoping now Ayelle would understand that he didn't take mares as slaves just to use for his own dirty purposes. Wandering over to the water he took a long drink fore it was hot out today.
Lifting his head he looked back over at Cobalt. "Would you like a drink?" He asked before moving to the side to let the other stallion drink. "I am Demontor as I forgot to mention before." He left the chose of the stallion to call him master or Demontor up to Cobalt.

Following Demon through the land, Cobalt couldn't help admitting that his new Master's herdland was beautiful. He gazed solemnly at the many willows, their long, whiplike branches swaying in a gentle breeze, and decided that his first home as a Free-Roamer would have willows somewhere. Maybe a lake, too, and a cool forest of oak and pine and cedar. Maybe his new land would have a soft meadow that would be perfect for raising colts and fillies. Maybe.... Or maybe not. Cobalt had long ago accepted the fact that he was a slave, born and raised for that purpose in life, but he didn't like it one bit. There was so much more to him; he could have led a fantastic herd if given the chance, but fate had dealt him the lowest hand it could give.
His daydreaming mind had taken him away for a moment. Now, as the bay stallion came back to reality, he stood back as his master drank from a watersource. At his angle and distance he couldn't see if it was a pond or spring. Demontor spoke and for the first time, Cobalt knew the other stallion's name. Demontor, he thought, burning the name into his mind. You, along with my birth-Master, training-Master, Zephyr and Zuko, will never be forgotten. And one day....One day I will stand as your equal. Aloud he merely said, Yes, M'lord Master. And I thank you for this knowledge. Stepping forward, Cobalt noticed that he hadn't realized exactly how thirsty he was. Bending his neck to the clear surface of what he now realized was indeed a fresh-water spring.
The feel of the water rushing down his parched throat was heavenly and the young stallion only lifted his head after draining a long draught. Master, he asked as he raised his head to the fall of a thousand droplets from his wet muzzle, It isn't really my place to ask, but why did you claim me? There are hundreds of good mares out there who would be more than willing to serve and not many Masters want a stallion around, even as a slave. Good mares who are undeserving of their fate, he thought sadly, Good mares and fillies who would rather die than do the bidding of you and your kind.

Demon smiled at him. "Becouse my mare slave needs someone other than me to talk to even though she has my mate Lupe sometimes she needs a more understanding stallion" He moved toward the grassy meadow. Turning his head he called out. "You may rest and eat if you like." With that he lowered his head and started to graze. He trusted this stallion enough that the stallion wouldn't run away on him.

I had just been grazing nearby. The grass was good here. Tasted better. I sniffed the air and yawned. Soon I reliazed Demon was with another. I tilted my head in wonder and I slowly trotted over. My chesnut pelt was a bit damp from falling in the river. Clumsy me. The white on my nose was a grey from being wet. My soft amber eyes filled with curiousty.
I trotted over. My mane flicking back and forth. I dipped my head in a greeting and looked at Cobalt. I looked at my master with wonderous eyes. Twitching my ears softly to listen to the singing birds. I smiled
"Hello Master, who is this?"
