Demon awoke and trotted over to the small pond. Taking a deep drink he closed his eye's thinking about everything that happened yesterday. Lifting his head he looked over to the willows. "Ayelle come here" He said in a mellow tone. As he waited he dunked his head under the water to wake himself. Lifting his head up he looked back over to the willows. "Lupe come here please" He said in a softer voice. He was interested in what the mares would do when they meet.

I was just waking up when I heard my name called. I groggily trotted over to Demonotor. My body was sluggish with sleep. I blinked and let my black orbs finally settle to the sun and I move da bit faster. Finally I arrived infront of my master after what seemed like a year of walking. I ducked my head than yawned and turned back to look at my master. I dipped my head in greeting.
"Is there anything you need master?"
My voice was a bit slurred with morning sleep.

Lupe's head lifted and her auds perked forward as she heard her name being called. The ivory colored Azteca mare lifted herself from the ground, shaking dirt away from her pelt. It never took her long to wake, or become active, in the mornings. With a slight snort she trotted out of the circle of willows, and towards Demon. She noticed another mare, but thought nothing of it as she approached. She stopped when she was a few feet away from the stallion, inclining her head slightly. |

Demon turned and smiled at Ayelle. "No there isn't any thing i need at the moment." He watched as Lupe walked out of the circle of willows. "Good morning Lupe" He walked over and nuzzled her. Turning his attention to Ayelle he adressed her. "Ayelle this is the new lead mare and i expect you to respect her as you respect me" Walking back over to the water he got a drink then turned around to face the mares and see what they would do.

I glanced at the female. Envy flooded through me for a moment than disappeared. Hatred fell to Demon for some reason. Probably because my mother was my fathers lead mare. And that ended ever so nicely.Not. I did my best to not let my face show emotion.
"Hello. As Master mentioned, I am Ayelle."
My voice felt icy cold, not directed at Demon's choice but at pity for the female. If Demon was close to what my father was the poor girl would have a foal and die.

Lupe smirked ever-so-slightly as she noticed the iciness of the mares tone. Normally she would have fired back with just as much of an edge to her voice, but why feed the flame? She could be completely normal in these situations. But deciding to have a tiny bit of fun, she allowed herself to look completely unfazed by Ayelle's tone, and even more so unfazed by her presence. "Hello, Ayelle. I'm Lupe Fiasco, but I prefer Lupe." Lupe said idly, her tone flat yet neutral. |

Demon was currently nibbling on some grass when he heard how Ayelle talked to Lupe. His eyes narrowing and his ears going back he walked stiff legged up to Ayelle. "Did i not just get done telling you to respect Lupe as you respect me?" Leaving no room to answer that question Demon gave her another question. "What is the reason that you talk to her with such disrespect" He got close to Ayelle and with his voice low and sinister. "And you better not lie."

"My mother was lead mare, and you know how that turned out. So I'm not sure if I can trust you, I feel no resentment towards Lupe. ."
My tone was pure ice and I glared at Demon. I usually became full on icequeen if someone did something that reminded my of my father or mother. I couldn't help it. Memorys would just flood back and wouldn't just darnit disappear. I flicked my long tail in anger and took a step away from Demon.

Lupe flicked her tail slightly, watching the two horses. She was slightly amused, though she did not let it show. The way the mare was talking to Demon was simply disrespectful. Lupe's gaze traveled from Ayelle, over to Demon, wondering what he would do. She stood back, head held high as expected and hooves digging into the dirt slightly. She was still, her dark orbs watching both of the equines carefully. |

Demon glared at the disrespectful slave. "You better watch yourself slave" he said. "Did i not tell you i value horses who have foals." Demon started to get closer to Ayelle. Suddenly he charged forward and reared up cutting her chest. Moving to her side Demon bite down incredibly hard on the sore he had created earilier. He spun around and used his back feet to kick Ayelle. Demon moved away still glaring at Ayelle. "I told you i value mares who bring foals into my herd do you doubt me" His voice was quiet and his eyes were closed.

I felt the first pain, than the second. Than the third came quickly after. I lost my footing and fell to the ground. A bit of blood poured from my body but I showed no pain. I stood and tryed to keep the pain from bubbling out of my eyes and voice.
"I am sorry master. But yes, I do doubt you."
My voice came out with no show of fear. My fur around my chest dripped a bit of blood and my opened scab did also. I gulped quietly and looked at Demon. I took a step back

Lupe watched as the other mare fell to the ground from the blows, before getting up once more. When she spoke out once more, Lupe chuckled quietly and shook her head. Foolish one, she was. After she had already been warned and disciplined. Lupe shifted her weight, now very interested in watching what was going to happen next. How would Demon react? Only time could tell. So, Lupe waited and watched silently. |

Demon's eyes shut tighter. Opening his eyes he glared at the slave. "If that's how you feel slave" He sneered when he said slave. " you can stay there for today i was going to let you explore but you can just stay there and you better not move" With that he turned and walked to the spot where he had watched the sunset the other night. A single tear cascaded down his chestnut face but nobody saw it.

I sat down on the ground. I glared at him and didn't even look at lupe. My eyes filled with rage and pity, all in both. I felt angry in speaking up at myself but I felt more of hatred to my dad than Demon, if only I could say that to my fathers face. I rested my tail agsint the dirt ground and growled a response.
"Fine"
Leaving me there to stay still probably wasn't the greatest idea, as rage bubbled under my surface and I kept on imaging my fathers sneering face. This made me much more angry.

Lupe watched the mare sit down, and shook her head slightly. She could only wonder what the mare had been through in her life. Had she perhaps had a rough life as well? Lupe pushed the thought from her mind and wandered off a little ways, but did not stray too far. She lowered her head, beginning to nibble at some of the grass idly. She wasn't really thinking of anything, but she wasn't day-dreaming either. |
