Demon wandered over to the spot he was in last night. Sighing he looked up at the sky then back to where he and Ayelle sat last night. Giving a fustrated sigh he turned his head to where Ayelle and Lupe where. "Slave" He called he didn't use her name becouse she had lost that privelage. "Come here" Waiting for Ayelle to come he studied Lupe while she at the grass. Smiling he knew he could never hurt her nor could he hurt Ayelle enough to kill her.

I was sitting and thinking of how many things I would want to scream at my father when I heard Demon call for me, Or slave atleast. I jerked up in surprise not relizing where I was for a moment. Soon as I remembered I sighed and walked over to Demon. Anger still floded through my bones from my father.
"What do you want Master?"
My voice came out normal, qith a touch of bordem and a touch of anger.

Lupe's dark brown eyes glanced up as Demon called for Ayelle, referring to her as 'slave.' Lupe watched as the mare stood and walked over to Demon. Tired of watching the two, she continued to graze, but her auds were still perked forward so she could listen. Beautiful, glossy ivory coat seeming to shine in the sunlight, she walked a little further away and lifted her head, gazing out over the land. |

Demon looked at Ayelle. "Why would i let a slave become my lead mare if i was just going to kill her?" Demon asked. Looking up at the sky he let out a sigh. "My intention was to get a herd together" He looked at Ayelle. "Not have it fall apart" Demon's eyes became hard. "I am not like your father yes i keep slaves and yes i beat them when they are disrespectful but killing them over one foal i will not do"

I listned intently. My ears softly gulping down each word. I looked at him than at my hooves.
"I can't understand that right now Master, it is all I've ever known"
My voice came out a surprise, I wasn't expecting to actually speak. I swished my tail and looked at Lupe for a moment. I looked at Demon
"I will try my best to respect your chosing, but a piece of me will always remind me of my past Master."

Lupe had stopped listening, therefore had not heard any of the conversation. She had ventured out of hearing range, anyway, though she could still see the two. Feeling as if she would like to run a bit, Lupe settled for trotting about in small, steady circles. Her main and tail blew slightly in the wind, her light muscles moving beneath her ivory skin. She smiled as a small breeze passed through the land and she halted, shaking her head and snorting quietly. |

Demon sighed. "My punishment still stands though you may pick the place" He looked at her sternly. "the place must be within seeing distance of the circle of willows." With that he cantered down to Lupe. He reached her as she stopped her circling. Going up and nuzzling her he took a deep breath. "How are you today M'dear" He said queitly while resting his head on her ivory back. Demon once again sighed. It seemed like he was doing that alot lately.

I sighed than nodded. I looked around the willows and finally chose a place. I trotted over to my maser. Head hung down slightly low.
"I have chosen a place next to the willows. Easy distance and easy to see.
I looked at him to make sure he approved the spot my nose was pointing towards. I dipped my head
"And before anything, I would like to apoligize, I am sorry.[/n]"

Lupe glanced up as Demon trotted over, smiling when he rested his head on her back and ask how she was. "I'm wonderful. Thank you for asking." She said. Her eyes flickered over to Ayelle, watching as she trotted over. Her auds perked forward, listening as she spoke to Demon. Lupe lowered her head again, nibbling at some grass one last time before lifting her cranium and watching Ayelle, smiling slightly. |

Demon removed his head from Lupe's back to watch Ayelle trott over. He paitently listened to what she had to say. "That spot is fine" Demon said. He glanced over at Lupe and watched as she nibbled on some grass before raising her head to smile at Ayelle. Looking back at Ayelle he studied her. "You are forgiven, slave" Even though Demon had forgiven Ayelle she still didn't earn the privelage of him using her name.

I nodded and trotted over to my spot where I had chosen. It was near the odd tree I saw earlier, so atleast I could glance at it every while. I layed down on my stomach to relax, not like I was planning to stand the whole while, he never said I had to. I rested so i could still watch everything and look alert, while if needed, was able to fall asleep. Although now I was unfortunatly, wide awake

Lupe watched Ayelle go, her dark brown eyes following the mare until she entered the circle of willows. Lupe then relaxed slightly, holding her head at a moderate height now. She turned her head slightly, glancing back at Demon and smiling. "And how have you been?" She ask kindly, her tail swishing ever-so-slightly. She had nearly forgotten to ask, but she had began to care for Demon, so she decided to ask him. |

Demon looked at her. "Better" He sighed and laid down. "She never acted like that before" Demon said to noone inparticular. "She said i would act just like her father and kill you when you had your first foal." Demon began to get agitated again. "I told her i wasn't like that my herd depends on both the foals am mares alike." Demon sighed. "Im glad your not like her shes sweet and everything just so touchy."

Feeling Demon was using my name in vain I looked at him but said nothing. I looked up at the pretty markings and tried to translate them. But they where so illegible. I watched a woodpecker land on the carvings and stifiled a gasp. The woodpecker looked funny at the wood than left. I breathed in relief.
I closed my eyes to sleep but found I was much to awake. I perked my ears to listen in on my master and lead mare's conversation. Altohugh I probably wouldn't hear much. it would let bordem disappear for a bit

Lupe nodded, lowering herself to the ground so that she was laying beside Demon. "I've always considered foals important as well, no matter gender or anything. If male, they'll likely lead a wonderful herd one day. If they don't become slaves, that is. And females are the ones that birth the strong males, and other females that continue the cycle." She said, nodding thoughtfully. |
