Thick, firery peltage danced roughly as it was trapped within the grasp of the salty sea breeze. Skinny black paws hung limp over the edge and sheerly frigid air, weighted by moisture, slapped the maned wolf in his short, dark maw. Nero's light brown eyes gazed over th edge, watching as a few pebbles plumeted over the abrubt drop after he flicked his tail off of a sharp rock and into a more comfortable possition. Would anyone miss me if I was gone? The young brute thought to himself, a forelorn expression taking over his features. Out of a sheer impulse, which in this case didn't show itself often, Row let out a sharp bark, simply hoping to be heard by anyone. Anything. The dark, rough, white capped sea infront of him swollowed his vocals like a ravenous demon, his outspoken tones swollowed so fast by the roaring waves beneath that he himself didn't even hear them.
Where would I go from here...?

-insert Listener pic here when I get one xD, ill edit then-
I had heard a loud heartstring, not a howl, I was listening to some birds talking and making loud noises in a nearby tree. It was a male, confused, The rock? Not good. I stood up with my dainty grey paws. I was resting at a place in free-roamer land. I really didn't have anything to do. Finally something interesting.
I ran quickly to a rock, halting behind the wolf the heartstring was coming from. A handsome being, I lvoe his markings personnally. My silver back and mostly white fur was boring in my opioion. I fixated my golden eyes on him and looked at him glancng on the edge of the rock. I quietly lay down next to him, in mainly the same position. my pelt hardly not touching his.
" It's not worth it. We'd miss you, I've came here every once and a while and listen to the pain in the wind. Everytime a wolf gets dropped down there its like a piece of our race has disappeared."

Nero probably jumped up about ten feet in surprise as the little fae joined him. The howling wind couldn't smooth his rippled fur if it decided to whip into an F5 rater tornado as he inched away from her sudden closeness. Yeah, you wouldn't miss me if you took the time to get to know me, girl. He thought to himself, his light brown eyes filled with nothing but an almost eerie anxity. He listened in closer, trying to catch what she said before the wind swollowed her words too. I can hardly be called a wolf... He spoke sadly, his tones low and so broken he seemed to be choaking on their shattered reminents. Your race doesn't need scrap like me. They'd be better off. He secluded himself in her genetic grouping naturally and without effort. Wolves were supposed to be proud, magnificent, and free. Nero was none of these things. He was a slave to himself, constantly beaten and abused by nothing more than thoughts. Then the physical abuse came when no one was watching. 'I fell', 'I got bit by a rabit', or something along the sorts was always his excuse. They varied according to the wounds.

I listened to his heartstring, eyes closed and ears twitched a certain way. He wasn't evil, just confused. I looked at him with an odd expression, He thought he should be dead? A bad bit to the race? I should be dead.
"No, you are a valued member, if you quit letting your thoughts overpower you. I should be the one dead. Possessing a horrible abilty that makes me feel like such an outsider. If anything the wolves race would be better of without me, a stupid wierdo. You look fine, unique. I keep going, I've came here before with thoughts like you. I still am living, somehow I talk myself out of it. But than I think. Why should I die? I'm no plus to the wolven race, but I'm no minus either."

His muscles never released tension as the grey fae layed next to him, although he made sure there was a few feet in their seperation. You don't know me...and for your own saftey let's keep it that way. The last part was nothing more than a whisper, and he doubted the fae heard the whole stream of vocals. Then again, he didn't know her name yet. "Listener", how ironic. Life was no box of chocolate for Nero, and most of the wolven race he was forced to call his own didn't let him forget it. In truth, he was simply waiting to say something wrong, forcing this little vix to lash out and chase him off. Why is it that the only thing God has given him, save for his own wretched life, was a long, areo-dynamic body for running? What was the point of his life? To give bored angels a good laugh?

I watched him with raised eyebrows. Why wouldn't I want to know him? His heartstring didn't say anything about beating the crud out of a wolf. So I could deal. I looked down as my paw dangaled from the edge. A rock landing on a sharp rock, than bouncing off into the water's edge.
" I'd like to get to know you, If you'd know what I'd been through, I think I can handle you. Oh and Nero? I'm Listener. "
I looked at him with unmoving golden eyes. My fur lay flat and ears still perked. I wasn't planning to chase him off nor lash anytime soon. I could take a stupid sentance, I didn't really care what others thought of me, nor if they made mistakes. My white belly was covered with rock dust, I hardly cared though, many femmes would, but I didn't.

//ooc: He never told her his name. lol\\
His eyes flew to his scarred paws when his name floated off of her lips. I thought I could handle me, too. He thought to himself, switching his wieght to the side further away from the femme, giving them slightly more distance. 'Kay... It was all he could come up with, in truth. It was an acceptance to her name, but not anything else. Nero wasn't about to let this little girl walk right into her open grave. Obviously someone cared about her, herself included, and he was simply sick of hurting everyone. Sick of being in the way. Just plain d*mn sick.

//she listens to heartstrings durr, so she heard his name\\
Thoughts floated around the slim femmes head, What had he done? He seems to feel so dangerous, but what happened? I itched to know. I didn't let him get too far away. He was the first person in days who just didn't run away from me, So interest intruged me. Nero sort of reminded my of Watcher, my dead brother. Seeming to know more than he let on. My caring eyes watched him with interest.
" You can relax, I won't hurt you and you know what? After seeing my family killed right before me I don't give a d*mm if you do too. So quit feeling sorry for yourself and try to make a friend."

//ooc: Didn't know what that was until now o.o\\
Nero winced, although on the inside he had snapped. Maybe I'm feeling sorry for you since you have no one better for you to make friends with! Now, Nero would never say anything like that. He didn't even know how to anymore. Reality flicked back into the maned wolf. The Hell? How did she know my name? He opened his mouth to ask, but choked on his words slightly before clamping it shut again and slowly shaking his head. Row was half crazy, and he knew it. He had probably told her his name already and had forgotten, and he knew how stupid he'd look if he asked her.
