He but his head against my back, I looked once at my father and scurried forward. I was being used as a gambling toy. It wasn't great in my personnal opinion. My dad growled at me and I didn't let him see my face droop. I watched the pretty songbirds, the ones my namesake was from. I looked to the ground as my father mad eme scuttle along. He growled a stop to me and I skidded and sat like supposed to. He growled and sat also, behind me to be certain I wouldn't escape.

Stale let out a loud houl, it stung my ears. He had already told me of his plan, He would let the fact Sano was a roamer slide, and challange him to a fight. If Sano won he would get no trouble from my father and my father would give me to him, if Sano lost my father would take all of his pack members, he'd be left alone, and I'd be killed at the spot.

Why?

My dad liked to kill.

Sano's head shot up as he smelt another wolf in his territory. Trotting over to a pair of wolves he growled lightly. "And who are you?" He asked the brute. He didn't care if he sounded rude it was his land anyways. His fur was bristled slightly. If this wolf was looking for trouble it was surely going to get it. Sano's sapphire eyes narrowed and his black fur bristled with the thought of another ruling this land.

I looked up at the wolf infrot of me and the devil..I mean my father. My bright blue eyes looked hopefully than after a whack in the back I resided to looking down. You weren't aloud to look males in the eye after you are eligable for pups. He taught me that. I heard his voice, the anger stung my soft grey ears.

"I am Stale. the Stale from Wekilles pack. I know you are a loner, but I need some toys for my pack. So I will challanged you to a duel, first knocked out loses, Will we go down to the battle grounds. You win, I won't bother you and my daughter will be given to you. YOu lose, and I will get all your slaves and you will watch me kill my daughter on the spot. Understand?"

Sano's eyes widened as the brute spoke. Hair raised he almost lunged on the spot. "You barbaric bas*rd" He snarled at the other wolf. "You better hope i dont lose myself and kill you" He said rage evident in his eyes. His sapphire eyes almost glowed red becouse of the deep rage inthem. No one should be treated like this and he had agreed to his subjects to protect them. Turning his attention to the female he nodded to her. "Trust me you will enjoy living here" He said.

I said nothing, I never spoke. I sang sometimes where no one could hear. I don't speak you see, out of fear mostly. Maybe my voice would be coaxed out if the male one, I don't know if the challangee knows of my fathers violence, but I cannot warn him. I wish I could. My father growls

"I will meet you at the fighting place pretty soon, my daughter will be there and will be watching the fight. Each time you get thrown I will scratch her. If you break a bone I will break one of hers."
