Misaki stumbled as she pushed on, her legs were growing heavy and the heat was nearly unbearable. It came in waves and hit her body like a rushing river trying to push her down. If she had known a year ago she would be near death like this she wouldn't have agreed on leaving her master in the first place. Though then she hated the thought of being back there, she hated the fact that her master knew her darkest secret and her weakness. It was easier on her being near death if she was free, she had traveled so far to make a new life. She wanted to start over. She came to a dead stop when she reach what felt like a border. She inhaled deeply taking in all of the scent she could, making out a that this was a dominate mare's land. She paused for a second wandering if she should enter. She had never been here, but it felt so familiar.
A small breeze began to blow carrying her scent into the territory, as if pulling her in. Her ears flicked back and forth a bit as if she heard someone call out her name. Calling her to this place, was this what she had been searching for. At this moment she didn't care, she barely had the strength to stand anymore, she needed shelter from this heat or she wouldn't last much longer. Finally after taking the heat on her black coat a few moments longer she took a step forward. Then another and another, until finally she was completely in the territory. She took another deep breath trying to memorize the sweet scent of this place before she get up the nerve to go deeper into the territory. The line of trees in the distance called to her. They offered shade, and maybe a place to rest. The promise of shelter in her mind gave her strength enough to trot towards those trees.
She smiled slightly it felt good to be moving faster, her mane and tail waves lightly in the small breeze she was creating until she reached the trees. She sighed heavy, tired and wavy she began to laugh. She closed her eyes for a moment welcoming the shade. She titled her head to the sky and spoke for the in a whisper for the first time in so long. "Well sun what do you think now, try to get to Misaki now."
OOC: Okay sorry that wasn't my best post, but this is my first time ever RPing a horse. I hope it is okay, I decided just now to have Misaki talk in the third person. I don't know if you know, but her coat is mostly black with some large white patches on her side, top of her back, and neck... Her tail is white, and her mane is half and half. Her hooves are white and her are mostly white.

[OOc; looks great to me x3 Longer then most I've seen on here at least.]
The sun was high atop the canyon terrain, blazing down with unusual intensity. Summertime wasn't the greatest time to be in an arid place like this, but the thin-skinned paint mare didn't mind it at all. Tucked back in the shade of a canyon wall, her patched bodice was sunk down to the earth, legs curled under her as she dozed barely half-asleep. The wind was sucked back into the canyon, came around the bend and blew over her cool body as it went back out. She was hidden deep within the canyon itself, far from predator or prey. Normally Vengeance would have been out keeping an eye on her herd and checking around for predators, but for now she needn't worry. She was the sole member of the herd. For now, at least.
It seemed that might very well change. The wind blew over her nose, forcefully carrying a strange scent into her nostrils. Almost immedietly, the mare jerked herself up onto her long legs, thorns perking upright to complete attention. A horse was in her lands, and as she listened very closely, she could hear the faint beats over the dusty lands which currenlty stood over her head. Picking up a swift gallop, she raced her way out of the canyon and pulled herself up the small slope toward the highest points of her lands. As her piercing blue eyes roved over the land, she spotted her intruder. A scrawny figure was making it's way, ungracefully, across the grassy part of the realm. Vengeance's pace never slowed as she studied the other horse, instantly noticing the boney, dull pelt and weak gaits. It stopped beneath the shade of some distant trees, and V was quick to follow.
Approaching, she saw it was a mare colored very much like herself. Head held high and proud, and whinnied a piercing greeting, meeting the mare's eyes. "Hello." Vengeance sensed she was weary and not at all a threat. So her voice was kept on the easier side, black locks falling into her field of vision. This mare looked like she could have some potential if she put on a few pounds and built back her strength. Vengeance was less inclined to judge her now, she looked like she'd run straight from the home of a master. Besides, the herd needed some members, and she wasn't about to waste the opportunity.

"Greetings to you," Misaki spoke calmly as she eyed the mare wearily, sensing nothing threating from her she dropped her guard a bit. "Misaki apologizes for intruding where she isn't familiar, but this heat gets to Misaki. Misaki is from a far away place, she is tired and needs to rest before going on her way. Though Misaki is very pleased to meet you." Misaki gazed at the mare for a while longer before turning converting her glaze back to the trees. The wind blew again slightly making her sneeze slightly. She shook her back starting with her head and stomped her front hoof. Something about this place made her feel so alive.
"Does the sun always hunt you here?" she asked turning back to the mare, "Misaki is sorry, but she doesn't know your calling. She would love to know if you please." Misaki lowered her head as she stepped towards the mare slightly. The sun flickered through the leaves in her eyes making her move again out of annoyance. Misaki took at good look at the mare taking in all of her features to memory. She closed her eyes as she inhaled deeply again making sure to memorize her scent. She reopened her amber eyes the fire of life returning to them. This mare reminded her of herself, she seemed lonely. Misaki wondered how her life might have been, was she always this strong and proud or had life given her a bad patch of grass like it had her. Misaki smiled slowly wondering if this mare had a good patch of grass now.

As the mare began to speak, Vengeance was taken slightly aback by the fact that she talked about herself in third person. Or maybe it was third horse? (Couldn't resist xD) As she explained herself and her reason for intruding, the paint just nodded her head in acceptance. This land was designed as a sort of safe haven for mares, and she wouldn't turn one away after she'd had such an obviously bad journey. "It's nice to meet you as well. I'm Vengeance, lead mare here." She spoke up, letting the mare know she was in control around here, but not in a rude sort of way. Thorns flicked, catching the sounds about her before ticking nce more at the mare. With a slight toss of her small head she added, her voice had a tone of warning to it, "You are welcome to hang around until you are well, or stay with my herd if you wish. Though I ask you bring no stallions back here, for this land is untouched by them."
Taking a single step back out of the mare's space, she noticed how she was looking curiously at her. As if thinking about something. Certainly Vengeance had experienced her ups and downs like Misaki had, but hopefully that was all behind her now. It seemed the gaited mare dealt with it better than she had...But she decided not to go there. Glancing up at the hot sun, she just gave a brief nod. "Yes, unless you take shelter in the far walls of the canyon. It casts a cool shadow."] Looking back over her shoulder the direction in which she'd come, thinking back to where she'd had her nap. Inclining her head that way, she gestured as if telling Misaki that she was welcome to go there if she so wished it.

Misaki nodded turning her own head in the same direction Vengeance had. Misaki welcomed her leadership and invitation she longed to be with others. "Worry not, Misaki dislikes most stallions," she spoke with such hatred in her voice, "Misaki really appreciates your generosity, but she knows not how long her stay will be. Misaki needs to rest for now, she will speak more with you later. If will find her in the cannon where you suggested the sun doesn't hunt." She dipped her head slightly in respect as she gained enough strength to get out of the sun.
Walking slowly so she didn't show how weak she really was. Misaki's ears flicked a bit as if she heard something once again as the breeze blew. She sighed heavy closing her eyes slightly. This place was revealing after her long journey. Finally after walking for what seemed like an hour in the sun Misaki reached some much needed shade. Her head was hanging low once again, sleep would overtake her soon. She painfully laid down int he cool grass. She nibbed a bit of it before laying her head down on it. The dew still lingered on the grass and it soothed her overheated body. She closed her eyes and much needed sleep overwhelmed her.

Listening to the mare, Vengeance knew it would take some getting used to her, but she just shrugged it off. Uniqueness was something she admired. As she mentioned her hatred of stallions, the mynx just smirked deeply. She had come to the right place, and would do well here. "Well then follow me." Picking up a swift trot, she moved silently over the land. Her only sound being the gentle landing sound of her daggers which were carefully placed over the dust. Vengeance led the way back into the canyon before settling at a place where the shadow fell far from the wall...
To the fit and healthy mare, the journey seemed quick and usual. Looking over her shoulder she noticed Misaki walking slowly behind, and realized just how sapped her strength was. The Black Canyon was certainly not the place for a stranger to be caught on such terms, but Vengeance was familiar with the territory. The mare was lucky to have found her. Grass grew from the plains overhead down into the canyon, and down here it thrived out of the terrible dry heat. Vengeance could only watch as the mare lowered herself down and fell to sleep almost immedietly after tasting the grass. Moving several yards away, the painted vix let her sleep, mug finding the cool lushious grass below. Lips tore it up, filling her own stomach as she let her newest herd member rest.

Hours seemed to pass as she slept, dreaming of her past and of a time she was once happy. That time was so long ago that she didn't remember much of it until now, this place flooded her mind of those days so very long ago, in her old herd. The sound of his mother's voice rang in her ears and then her image raced towards her she nearly leap out of pure joy. She awoke herself and the image disappeared. The sun had nearly disappeared beyond the horizon. She yawned slightly and lifted her weary form from the cool grass. She had more of her strength back, but it would be months before she was back to normal. She munched on so grass before stretching her long limbs. She shook slightly shaking the sleep from her bones before trotting off, dusk was one of her favorite times of day.
She needed that rest, she wondered for a moment how long she had been out she looked around her that other mare called Vengeance, when she didn't see her she tried scenting her. "It appears as if she has gone where the sun still hunts," she said turning her head towards the bit of sunlight peaking over the canon walls, "Misaki waits here."
OOC: this will probably be the last post I make here... maybe... I don't think i need to RP her everyday recovery. I am sorry it took me so long to RP again school has kept me very busy.
