The sun was hanging high in the afternoon sky, the breeze was blowing mildly across Canaa. The sweltering summer heat beat down upon everything, leaving nothing untouched by it's fiery fingers. The dunn filly trotted proudly into the land of Skylark. He had quickly claimed her as she wandered alone, wasting no time he had scooped her up and welcomed her into his home land. Rasta had quickly accepted his offer, more than happy to help him with cause. Lifting her earthy skull she let loose a soft call for the inhabitants of canaa, she wanted to meet her new family. Hopefully they would welcome her with open arms, and hopefully Skylark was around to welcome her as well. Of course if he was still off gathering other warriors that was alright, she knew that this battle would be huge and she would be a strong warrior to help Skylark in his mission

Darki trotted over to the new arrival and stepped to the side of her. "Hello there. May I know your name? I am Darkness or Darki. Whatever you please." She tossed her mane into the air and looked at everything around her. She loved this herd. It was so wonderful. They needed new members greatly and a deep love surrounded the territory and folded over all that came and left. It wrapped up all that entered and gave them a deep urge to live and to fight for what was right.

Skylark trotted up. He spotted the two mares talking. This was the first time he had seen his herd members interacting among themselves. It was a good feeling, knowing that his herd was growing. His muscles ached from a long day's work. The chestnut stallion knew that he needed to go out today and find some more recruits, but today he needed a break.
He halted a few feet away from them. "Why hello there, Rasta. It seems you have met one of our first herd members, Darki." A pleasant smile donned his red-hued facade. He bent his neck down and cropped up some of the rich grass beneath their hooves.

Lunar galloped up to Skylark, Darki and a new horse. Slowing down she smiled. "Hi Darki, Skylark" She said before looking at the new horse. "Hi i am Lunar eclipse though you can just call me Lunar if you like" She said her energy bubbling. Moving from hoof to hoof she tried to calm down but was way to hyper for that. Looking at Skylark she stopped her prancing from side to side. "Hey Skylark i was thinkin i could help go get slaves or i could plan the missions or something" She said looking thoughtful.

Darki stamped her foot. "I think that is a very good idea Lunar." Darki looked over questioningly at Skylark, waiting for him to answer the young mare. She trotted over to her and blew some cool air out of her nostrils and blew the young one's mane around. She looked at the area around her with hope. This place would mean a new begining and their begining had already begun. She and Lunar had already made this their perminate home.

Rasta stood quietly as the horses approached her. Twin sets held aloft as she stood wondering what kind of reseption she could recieve. "Hello Darki, I'm Rasta. Pleasure to meet you. " Dipping her skull slowly as if introducing herself with respect. As the chestnut stag approached, Rasta's radars perked forwards and a smile crossed her maw. "Hello again Skylark...And yes I've just met Darki." So many friendly horses to get to know, it was going to be wonderful here. "Greetings Lunar, I'm Rasta." Her earthy brown orbs danced over each of the equine, each very special in their own way. From the way the young one danced around and the one tried to calm her. This was truely a wonderful place.

Darki lowered her head, still waiting for a response from Skylark, got a response from Rasta. "Pleasure to meet you, Rasta." She raised her head and nodded. She then moved even closer to Lunar to try to calm her down. She was very excited and everyone could tell. She hoped Skylark would reply to her soon so she would quit bouncing around like so. Her head seemed to move by itself, just looking around at the beauty. She wished Lunar would stop bouncing around long enough to look at everything around her. They had been there a long time, but there was still very much to see and do.

Lunar giggled slightly as Darki blew on her mane. She paused to watch Darki look at the lands. Lunar followed her gaze and looked, actually looked, at the land. It took her breath away it was so beautiful. "Do we really get to live here?" She asked more to herself then anyone else. Suddenly she kicked out with her back legs and gave a wild laugh. She looked at Skylark, Rasta, and Darki a huge smile on her face.

Darki, as calm as she could possibly be, nuzzled Lunar, trying to keep her calm. She sighed and responded to the silly question that was not really a question. "Yes Lunar. The lands of Canaa are our home now." She whinnied and looked up at the sky. It was opening up like the pages of a new book. Crisp and begging to be looked at and read over and over again and again. It was truely beautiful.

Rasta smiled at the sight of the anxious young filly, she was so happy to be here in this new family. Her orbs drifted over the lands surrounding her, it was truely breathtaking. It was hard to believe that this was truely her new home. Never in her life had she been more happy with a choice that she had made. Love...that was the one thing that over flowed here.

Skylark's ears twitched. He felt the urge to gather more horses for his herd. His long chestnut tail swished with anxiety. There were so many slaves now, but it seemed impossible to ignore even just one. The longer he spent out at the slave rock, the more other leaders would know of his land of freedom. His words rushed out. "I have to go. I can guarrantee that when I return, it will be in the company of a freed slave. Perhaps a stallion for one of you!" He took off at a slow lope in the direction of the slave rock.

Rasta stood quietly listening to Skylark as he spoke before leaving on his mission again. A smile upon her face as she thought about how close she had been to missing out on this wonderful place. But that was behind her now...all that lie before her now was a beautiful home with many wonderful family members. Sighing slightly as she nodded to the other doves and headed to discover her new home land...the land that someday soon she might be defending.

Lunar shrugged and took off at a slow lope. She was off to think of possible mission plans and to practice up on her skills at fighting. She could fight but chose not to becouse she thought it was pointless. Now she realized the only way for peace was to fight the d*mned and rescue the innocent.
Enter the Roan Stallion
Toboe trotted quickly to the group of horses. Slowing he observed them quietly and and looked over them with soft amber eyes. His black head moved to the black mare to the buckskin mare standing to his left. His eyes rested upon her as he dreamed about his childhood friend, who had been the same color, he sighed slightly depressed by the memories of the past.

Rasta stood quietly her long ebon whip cord blew lightly in the breeze as she watched the distant horizon. Her twin sets swivled slowly as she thought about how her life would have been different had she not come here. She would surely still be in that place...silently waiting like so many others for mr right to come along and place his claim upon the ladies of his choice. A soft snort escaped her nares as she dipped her skull slowly towards the ground and took a few slow bites of the lush green grasses. Chewing thoughtfully as she slowly turned her cranium to look upon the new equines that had just arrived. Earthy orbs danced over the ebon stag who looked at her. Smiling slightly Rasta turned and headed towards the smell of the water on the wind.
