Niaru trotted in briskly, across the invisible border line and into the wonderous land she had found by mere luck. She tossed her head and snorted defiently, not caring who or what lurked in these areas. She picked up a canter, churning the dirt beneath her. She slowed down again once as she reached a clearing. She stopped and stood still, flaring her nostrils. No one, from what she could tell, was about. She burst forward again into a gallop, the wind rustling her long mane and tail. Ah, the sheer fun of running. She lowered her head and dug in deeper, reaching her Thoroughbred speed. As she neared a clear, beautiful lake she slowed down to a quick canter, then back down to a rythmic, steady trot. She stopped at the water's edge and raised her head against the wind, looking about her. Still, no one in sight. She waded into the water and pushed off the bank, flailing with her legs to swim. She needed this ammensly for her white coat had become matted.
After a short while, she swam back to the shore and stepped out of the water. She shook her white, flecked coat of all the water, but her being white, she now looked a dark grey. What was she doing here exactly? She didn't even know herself. Niaru then walked forward away from the water and lowered her finely chisled head to the ground to graze. With the sun shining down on her coat, the wind tossing her mane, she looked stunning for the moment. She didnt know what to look for, only just wait and see if she found anything out. This land was an amazingly beautiful land, she noted, and she felt glad she had stumbled into it. She flicked her tail lazily as she grazed, occasionally lifted her head and flicking her long forelock to look about her.

Skylark's liquid brown eyes spotted a mare wandering through his land. She was easy on the eyes, and she looked to be in good all-around physical shape, too. This femme could easily help free the slaves that were being captured more and more by the hour. He ambled down a slight slope of his land's terr and stopped in front of her. "Greetings, I am Skylark, the leader of this proud terr. May I be graced enough to know your name?"
His words were polite, as usual. He despised being rude to any horse, even mares that most stallions would consider lower than stallions. Both red harks were pinned, awaiting for that responding vocal to reach them. She was dripping wet, and he felt thirst jab at his throat. Just wait for the name, then it won't be rude to break alertness...
[ooc: suckish postie, I ususally post longer. Sorries about that.]

She was just cropping the grass in the sunlight, enjoying the warmth of the day, thinking about her past and everything else in her life. Niaru was flicking off a fly when she heard faint hoof-beats coming her way. Who could it be? Ah, it was a stallion, surprise.
Niaru head was up in a flash, startled, for she hadn't known he was so close or even coming in her direction, accidentally knocking him by the chin. Niaru flicked her head, her mane flying with it, Terribly sorry, are you alright, M'Lord? My name's Niaru, by the way. Niaru said, adding a little mocking tone with the last part. She is sometimes clumsy with her head, as you may tell, and she feels somewhat embarassed by it. She flicked her tail around her legs and snorted, waiting for the stallion to reply. So, this was someone's land? Hmm. Niaru carefully stepped a foot back, as not to knock him or hit him again by accident, for she knew it happens a lot when she is unprepared. She folded her ears half-way down, more as a warning for him. Though she didn't expect him to hurt her in anyway, she oculnd't be too careful.
//OOC: It's okay. ^^\\

Skylark felt a flash of pain in his cheek. He staggered to the side and shook his head. Instantly he was on guard for another fight. Ears pinned back, teeth bared. Quite a frightening image, if you ask me. But then when her words reached his pinned harks, he relaxed his stance and spoke back in a confused tone. "Uh, nice to meet you, Niaru. I am fine." He lied. There was a distinct throbbing in his jaw that he doubted would pass away any time soon.
He looked up at the glorious sky. It was red orange now, just starting to die upon the horizon's dark border. Tomorrow it would rise again, only to repeat this. Oftentimes he wondered if the sun ever got bored of seeing his herd, or peering upon this world. But no, it always came back, always.

Niaru felt a flush of embarassment rush through her as she saw his reaction, and she dipped her light head slightly. She felt annoyed at herself, watching him stagger. Well met, Skylark. So, what is this wonderful land, tell me more about it, if you would? she questioned, trying to hide the annoyed sound in her vocals. Her harks pricked, Niaru looked about her at the green, lush land, wondering if this stag would accept her, and hoping he would. She would love it here, she knew it by first sight.
She flared her nostrils and lowered her head and look at the stallion. She noted his size and stucture, a fine built animal, if she was allowed to note. What would he do to her? At the moment, she felt he atleast was generous, but she'd see how he re-acted. She rested her back hoof, waiting for the stallion to reply. That's if he stayed for long, and she could only hope she hadn't angered him in anyway. Her heart sank at the thought, but she threw the thought away and flicked her forelock slightly out of her vision.
She knew quite well the results of an angry stag, and slightly cringed at the thought. Though Niaru had never been a slave, she had been through rough times with masters while she was roaming lands. They called her all sorts of names, whench seemed their favourite. She snorted to herself, yes, she oculd be stubborn, but she didn't care. Although, she was glad for a break from all the running in fear from the hellions, so she was quite over-joyed she had stuck eastward, that had led her here, to this land, to this herd. She wondered about what he ran his herd for, or if he even had a herd. She let out a small sigh, and looked back up at Skylark before her, snapping back to the present time, knowing she'd find out with time.
