Hateful green pools watched with a sizzling fire as the massive brute ran off. Just leaving her there. Moonlight shining on her back, illuminating the patchwork of scars down her body. As if she were no more important than the grey rock she sat upon. Fur stiffened upon her skin, making her appear fluffed up and pissed off...which she was. Cruel snarl worked through her throat as she watched him go, glad and yet worried. Someone else would be back to take her and do as they pleased with her; or at least try to. No. She would fight. Pacing from one edge of the great rock to the other, darting this way, then that, looking unnerved, spooked, disturbed.
Aleutia plopped angrily on her haunches, letting her eyes stare out over the land. Other wolves roamed about in the distance. Mostly females, some males, stalking through them like items on a shelf. And she loathed them with animosity beyond anything she knew. Gray bodice heaved a great sigh as she forced herself to relax, muscles loosening up as she cast her dark muzzle toward the sky. She was always known for her wild and crazy nature. This time would be no different. She didn't care what foolish creature came to take her. Lips parted and a long, low note slid from her throat. Filling the air, echoing in the distance, strong, powerful. Other wolves yipped and barked for her to shut up, but she paid them no mind. Closing her piercing eyes and pouring her soul out to the only thing that listened; the night.
I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd You're gonna hear my voice when I shout it out loud

A dark shadow moved through the abyss called night. Virtually soundless paws stepped lightly. While another male left like a coward, another one approached. His fur blended in well with the darkness that surrounded, and a smirk played upon his features.
This male had been watching from afar as the femme was dropped off. Lately he'd been prowling around these lands, not in search of slaves, but just members to his pack. The male known as Ghost walked up behind Aleutia, in the same manner he approached everyone. In this case, the male had the element of surprise. Ghost wasn't like most males. He was here to rescue female instead of pulling them by the chain of bondage. From the looks of this female, she wouldn't take too well to be being a slave.
Ghost questioned why so many females were being taken captive. He decided that he would save those that he could and hope for the best for the rest. "Greetings femme,"Ghost said quietly. He didn't want the other males around to know what he was doing. They probably wouldn't help his situation. So, while Ghost spoke quite quietly, he was planning on saving the female called Aleutia.

Her voice howled on, muffling any sounds the brute may have made upon his approach. It was only by the first words of his speech did she realize his presense. Notes ended on a short yip as she leapt to her feet and spun about to face him. Teeth opening to snap the air before his face in defense. Suddenly alert, spine arched, lips rippling slightly in an undertone growl. Aleutia's deep emerald eyes focused in on the black figure that blended well with the night, straightening and growing silent in response to his greeting. He'd spoken quietly, meaning he was hiding something and trying not to draw attention to himself. Most masters blasted their ego out to the world when they claimed a fae. Triangulars perked in mild curiosity, but she gave him no other signs then this.
Standing tall, she showed no submission to him. She wouldn't either. "Greetings to you too." She muttered half-heartedly under her breath, still alert just in the event he was trying to trick her. Smokey coat blew in the breeze, pressing against her lithe body as she took a step back and snorted gently at the male. "I already know why you're here, so don't try to play nice, okay?" Voice was rough as she left the boundary of the rock for the soft grasses below. Keeping one eye on the brute to see what his first move would be...
Better stand tall when they're calling you out

Ghost hadn't realised how loud a howl could be until it was right in his ear. He was only effected by this a short second, seeing as he'd howled in a pack before, and the magnitude was much greater then. The male reclined on his haunches and just observed. When the female snapped near his nose, the onyx male flinched slightly backward, but narrowed his yellow eyes. Somehow, he'd expected this reaction from her. He could already see her fiery temperament and take-nothing-from-no-one attitude. "I advise you not to snap, seeing as I could be your only way out of here,"Ghost said back.
His voice hadn't raised and Ghost's face was now blank with minimal expression. He just watched the female growl at him, until she finally spoke to him.Ghost resisted the urge to growl back, seeing as he was only trying to help. The male pondered her words carefully, then carefully decided to answer. He knew that she was skeptical because most males just wanted slaves. But Ghost had an alternate movtive. "I think that you're wrong. You don't know the first thing about me. You assume that all males that come here are for slaves. Maybe you're right,"Ghost stated. He kept his own eyes on the lithe frame of the female. He could see that she didn't trust him, but Ghost detected no fear or submission.
"But I am not like them,"the onyx beast continued. When he said the word 'them' he jerked his head in the direction of a large male walking by. "Consider yourself lucky, because I am no master of slaves, but have come to offer you a proposition like I've offered only one other,"Ghost said. He didn't much like strangers and raised his head lightly as he spoke. "Are you willing to hear what I have to say, or are you going to continue to growl at your only ticket out of here safely?"he asked.

Aleutia seemed to pay him little heed as he spoke his first line. She knew he probably wasn't too happy with her, but not many were. Everyone hated her, thought she was a little rude and even screwed up. Guess that's what slavery does to ya. In fact, he was directly on target as he gave his second speech. She didn't trust males. Not one had ever treated her with decency and respect. To them she was just a bug on their windshield; a thing, in the way, only useful for a moment or two. But one line made her halt, one lobe ticking back swiftly. But I'm not like them. Head turned to allow sharp green eyes to stare at him with more consideration, as if giving him a second looking-over. There seemed to be some sort of air about him that said he wasn't here to mess around but he wasn't here to enslave her neither. Pulse quickened as she listened, bodice curling around to face him again, muzzle lowering to a height equal with his. He didn't sound like a lier, but she'd been wrong before. "Four years and I've never been proven wrong."
Eyes looked more toward the sky, remembering for just a split second before forcing the thoughts away. Aleutia seemed to think about it for a moment before adding, "But you're right. I don't know you. Then again, you don't know me either. How do I know I can trust you?" Eyes narrowed in a skeptical manner, as if trying to see into his soul. What options were there for her? Take the chance and go with him, or stick around and see...who else showed up? The ashen fae sighed loudly, supposing it would be smart to take her chances and go with him. "However, I'll at least listen." There was a sort of smirk twisted over her ebony lips before folding her haunches beneath her and looking expectantly toward the male. Intrigued by his offer, but more so by his strange presence unique presence.

Ghost's demeanor seemed to ease up slightly as the femme was more willing to cooperate. He tell by her words that she was still untrusting, but she at least gave him a chance to explain himself. There was a flicker of hope that they'd each get out of here unscathed. The onyx male listened to her words. She must've been through a lot he assumed. If in the duration of four years she'd guessed correctly about males, what reason did she have to trust him?
Lucky for her his intentions were completely pure. There was nothing for him to hide, he could only give her an option, as he'd done with Saun and it was her choice. She could go on living the way she was or face the challenges of change. Although a transition into a pack would be hard work, being a slave was all the more difficult. Ghost pondered her question of trust for a moment. No words came out of his mouth during that time. But when he next spoke, his words were the truth.
"This is both of our first meeting. However, why you should trust me is I've adressed you with respect. I haven't presented an ego towards you and treat you like the proud canid you are. While some males have played the nice card before, I'm no different from what you see before you. My intentions are completely for the good of your kind and mine,"Ghost said.
The male wolf remained seated where he was, glad that she was willing to listen at least. This female seemed to be quick on her toes and had brains to match. For that, Ghost was sure that she would do much better away from these parts. "My offer to you is to join my pack, where there is nothing but freedom for you. It isn't the most granduer of homes, but it is sufficient for my pack. There only consists of myself and another femme that was released from bondage. Only the most special wolves are allowed. I look for a certain quality in a wolf and only to those do I extend an invitation. So here is your's,"Ghost finished.

Aleutia didn't want to admit it, she really didn't, but he was being respectful, and treating her kindly. Everything in her mind and body was warning her, telling her that she had no reason to believe him, to trust him. Absolutely nothing in her nature wanted to go along with him, but some small part of her soul saw a glimmer of light in his eyes. A very small glimmer of hope and honesty. Slate-colored pelt rippled in the cool breeze and made her shiver just the tiniest bit. Auds were perked forward to listen with a new interest as he explained his offer. Extending to her a very prized invitation to his palace of freedom. Aleutia dipped her crown, staring hard into the lush grassy earth for a few minutes, silently conpemplating as his handsome voice spoke on.
Go for it, just do it. It may be your only chance out of here. No, don't. He's tricking on you. Playing with your head. Screw that, just go for it. If he double-crosses you, you can take him. Raising her head, Aleutia looked straight into his eyes. This alpha had no reason to free her, except for this special quality he saw in her. What the hell, why not? Remaining on all fours, she released a long breath through her black nostrils before letting a tiny smile flicker over her lips. "Alright. I'll go." The growl was gone from her voice, but her emerald eyes were deadly serious as she gave a twitch of her dark tail and said, "But just because you 'rescued' me doesn't mean I'm doing you any favors. If you know what I mean." Wolfess wasn't ready to put full faith in him yet, this brute was walking on thin ice right now, it wouldn't take much to shatter it. If he decided to cross her, she wouldn't hesitate to protect herself. The air of pride hadn't vanished from the way she stood, however her neck bent slightly as she finally introduced herself. A hint of amusement dancing in her vivid eyes. "I'm Aleutia. Might I know the name of my rescuer?"

Ghost sat silently as she made her decision. It was her's to make and all he could do was try. He just shuffled his paws in the grass and just felt the breeze ruffle his dark fur. It felt good despite the other aura that surrounded this place. Only when the wind blew did this place seem vaguely normal. The onyx male tried not to focus on the bad and focus on the good.
The obsidian canid gave a smile. Most female didn't like this place and wanted to get the heck out of here. If he were in the same position, he would do the same. Nobody wants to do the labor of someone else when they are completely capable. Ghost didn't blame her at all. The male raised a furry eyebrow when Aleutia mentioned 'favors'. "I'm not here for favors. I'm the one supposed to be helping you out,"Ghost stated briefly.
He tilted his head just realizing he hadn't introduced himself. "Ah, seems like my manners escaped me for a second. I'm Ghost, pleasure to meet you Aleutia," he said standing to his paws. The large male dipped his fore quarters in a bow as he introduced himself. "Now are you ready to see you new home?"He asked.

"Ghost..." She gently repeated the name, as if to remember it across her tongue. Thank god he wasn't here for favors. Most males seemed to think that once she agreed to come with them - and usually she did not - that her body was their's to do whatever the hell they wanted with it. The very thought of which made her shudder, but Aleutia surpressed her anxiety. She would not let Ghost see her weaknesses yet. He probably didn't know what she meant anyway. Giving her pelt a quick shake, she cast on swift look around for other masters nearby. The empty trees, the musky stench, yeah, she was ready.
"Are you kidding? I couldn't get out of here fast enough." Growling softly in her throat, she let her thick tail flick in disgust behind her as ebon legs stretched out to follow him in a quick jog.

Ghost wasn't like any other male, especially the ones that resided around here. Deep down he had a kind heart, and wanted to help out all he could. But Ghost wouldn't, couldn't help everyone. That was impossible for any wolf alone. But Ghost was trying his best. He was going to help out as many former slaves as he possibly could. He didn't like seeing those of his species suffer. In fact, he didn't like seeing anyone suffer. Ghost smirked at her. "Alright then, let's get you out of here,"he said. The dark male started walking towards the Afzal packlands were the population now numbered three. The pack was off to a promising start and from here it could only get better.
