The //inslaved// walk like the //dead//

He bit my neckfur in rage. Growling at me he aimed his claws. Grabbing the edges of my ears. He grapped his hold and dragged my front end to the ground. I feel down in agony and wailed softly. He silenced me with a slahs of a claw

"You worthless who*e"

He dragged me towards the large rock, the Auction rock, I winced in pain and softly wailed. He silenced again with the feeling of him biting harder into the scruff.

He mumbled something to a wolf guarding the rock. He hissed at me once and I yipped and ran to the rock, my head under my paws untill I knew he was gone.

I was scared, I was alone, I wanted somebody to be my friend. No... What I wanted was...

Hiding her large elegant body the best she could, she snook up behind a fae. "Hello there. I am Darki. A member of the herd of Canaa. I offer you freedom as well as a place in the herd as a protector." Trying to lower herself behind the rock better, she awaited an answer. She had to get out of there quick before the gaurds picked up her scent. After all, she had just come from Canaa where all the other horse's scents were still on her.l

I turned to see a large horse, nearly jumping back in surprise, my silver/white pelt swishing backwards and golden green eyes watched the large creature. Be a protecter? I decided I would, for the time being anyways. I needed to ask something to the Mistress though, I wanted pups someday, maybe I could convice a possible male protecter for me. Later. I looked at the figure and stepped behind the rock. Rubbing my head against her body to leave my wolf scent on her so she could be able to stay there awhile longer.

"I think I would like that, my scent will conceal you for now. But the guards here are fickle and we must leave here bevfore any of the naughty wolve's try to attack you. No offense to my own kind, but they can get moody."

[Action]

Darki felt the fur of this wolf rub against her to hide her scent. "Some horses are obnosious as well. No offence to my own kind as well. And yes, we offer you ability to have a mate and pups as you please. We must go though. There are to many chances that we can not take right now." She snuck around to the other side of Auction Rock where the horses were. They would be able to escape easier from there.

I nodded and followed the horse master. My ears twitched and I looked at the other horses. I smiled and tried not to show my uncertainty to the large creatures. They where so different to the wolves I grew up with. I twitched my tail and tried my best to crouch lo0w and out of sight, I wasn't sure weither to act superior, stronger or frightend of the large maned creatures.

" I would like that. I will choose a mate wisely, Yes we must go. One question, does your land have any place to hunt? I eat meat and I really don't plan to let anyone see a wolf starving."

I laughed

Now in the safety of the woods, she waited for this fae to come out of the darkness of Auction Rock. She watched her creep over to the woods. "There is plenty of space to hunt. We definatly don't want to see a wolf starving." Grinning, Darki knew she could trust this wolf. She started to gallop in the direction of Canaa. Pausing only to see if she was coming and ask her name. "By the way, what am I to call you? Wolf?" Laughing, she awaited an answer.

I smiled, yes, the wolf desired my name. Probably a good idea. I ran after her, my small paws quickly catching up. I laughed.

"Wolf is a bit inpersonnal, I think I preefer Cyree. And what should I call you? Mistress, M'lady, Horse One?"

A grin escaped on my maw and a chuckle appeared, I stood ready to run next to the large creature. These where interesting creatures. So tall, with short fur except on there neck and there tail. Odd, how did they keep warm in the winter?

[Action]

"How about Darki? I prefer that over Horse One." Now running at full speed, she doged through the trees. It was calm. Pretty nice compared to all the noise that she was used to. As a free-roamer, it was calming and relaxing. Quite nice and safe feeling-in a way that is strangly unknown. Darki was an odd fellow and she knew it and loved it. It set her apart from all. Not many free-roamers had been slaves at one time, though some had.

I followed Darki, easily keeping up with the horses speed, I could probably go a bit faster, but horses where slightly slow. I looked up at the horse, my sogt silver fur easily slipping in the undergrowth.

"Okay Darki, I do like Horse One though. Where is your land? I do hope that horses don't eat all the leaves nor grass, I need some bedding, Kidding. So what do you eat? Excuse me asking, but your just a whole different type than us wolves.

I grinned

[Action]

"It is not bad, but Darki is much better. We are going to Canaa. It is about straight ahead and across a couple rivers. Sorry, we do eat all teh leaves and grass. Everything in sight mainly." Smiling, she listed the other thingst they ate. "And twigs and basically anything green and apetizing. It is fine that you ask. Wolves and horses are much different and I do not blame you for asking." Grinning, she went into FULL speed. She was not going as fast as possible before, but she was now.

I followed, grinning as we went faster, much more my speed. I quickly ran under the underbrush and stuff. I nodded.

"Mainly wolves eat meat, no we do not eat horses unless its our last resort, and I hope it never will be. Greens are only eaten if ill and there needed. Many of our lands are covered in green stuff because all we use them for is shade and bedding. My mother did like to chew on ferns if she was nervous though."

[Action]

Darki noted that Cyree was happier going at this speed and tried to keep goinng at that speed the longest she could.

"Hopefully you will not have to go into 'aultimate survival' mode. When we are hot, we go into the water to cool off. It is strange that your mother had that habit, but many parents have different habits as well as animals. Eveyone has their own habit that they do."

She smiled.

I wached the horse, my own habit would be turning around four times, no more, no less. Before I went to sleep. An odd, odd habit of mine. I nodded.

"Many wolves don't like to swim, I don't mind, but sometimes its also jsut difficult to go swimming in such a pretty pond. There was one pond back at my old territory that we were only aloud to drink in, no cleaning or anything in it. But than again, that master was odd."

[Action]

Darki liked to swim herself. She smiled.

"I understand what you mean. That must have been a very strange master. That reminds me of a master I had. She would not let you walk without asking. She would not let you blink or even move without asking for permission first. That is why I have so many scars. It is not quite possible to ask to do all your regular movements."

Darki grinned. She had seen many wolves. She liked this one the best so far.
