Ghost came into his lands once more. He was leading yet another female to victory. Both that he'd brought to the lands had been slaves to some cruel masters. But when they were here, they were completely free. Nothing was holding them back from their freedom now. The onyx male held his head high and his tail wavied in the air. The alpha male had to amdit he was proud himself. Most free-roaming creatures just kept to themselves, they didn't try to improve this horrid situation that the females had to go through. Ghost came into the lands and placed his rump to the sand.
His scent markers weren't quite as strong as when he'd brought Saun here, but still prevalent. The black male's yellow-green eyes watched the land behind him. He would wait here for Aleutia and wait to see her reaction. The lands were pretty decent for a pack of this size. It would suffice, and so the large male just awaited the next member of the pack. He would have to introduce Aleutia to Saun later so the two packmembers can get acquainted. But for now, Ghost just waited.

Following the ebony titan, Aleutia was able to do nothing but think. Even if he'd promised her freedom, she couldn't help the habit of being worried. She was kicking herself in the gut, knowing it was too good to be true. Approaching his lands, it was pretty dark, the earth was damp. It seemed it was an island type of place, murky water rippling in the distance. It didn't look too promising, but she tried not to judge based on looks...Tried. Staring forward, she couldn't help but wonder about Ghost. A black wolf named Ghost; what an oxymoron. If he was for real, then he must honestly care about the suffering of the enslaved wolves in the world. That was a first for Aleutia.
Charcoal legs moved effortless and silent behind him, lithe figure trailing along swiftly. Aleutia moved smooth as water, but you could see she was tense, missing nothing at all. Nostrils sniffed lightly, catching drift of his scent, and also the faintest stench of other females. Pads pushed down on sand, and she looked up to see Ghost sitting relaxed and just watching as she came in. Slowing back to a walk, she took a quick look around. It seemed alright, she could live here. Vivid green eyes fell on him, wandering what he would do with her. To be honest, she didn't know what to do with herself. It had been an eternity since she had any supposed 'freedom'. There were many a night when she'd dreamed of running through forests, splashing on the beach, doing whatever she d*mn well pleased. Could she finally do that? Walking toward the water, she went in just far enough that her paws were immersed, nosing the dark water with her nose before turning her head to look at Ghost. Eyes still holding mistrust and contempt bottled up for years. "So, Ghost. What is it the free wolves do?" Voice came softly, as if she were thinking about something else...

The obsidian male sat there contentedly on his haunches, just watching Aleutia approach the land. He could still see the caution in her movements, so he didn't say anything for a second. He just let her get her own barings and test the surroundings. He knew that they weren't as impressive as some beaches, but maybe it would be a better place to live. It was remote and quiet except for the occasional call of birds overhead, or the canids voices themselves.
Other than that, the atmosphere was calm and serene. Ghost's yellow-green eyes followed Aleutia as she explored somewhat. When she put her paws in the water, he came up beside her, thinking of an answer to her question. "Free wolves enjoy themselves. They do what they want with little restraint or regard for fear,"he said. The male cast a glance towards the water. He loved this place, his spirit called for freedom, and that he would get. Ghost was doing his best to provide this for others. He had no tricks up his sleeves, or a motive. All he wanted to do was see his lands be the home to wolves.
Somewhere where they could relax and just feel like they were at peace. Maybe that's why he'd stepped out of the box and claimed a land. He hated seeing the misery and disgusting treatment of wolves. He'd taken on a mission of his own without realizing it. As he was looking out at the body of water, the male's stomach grumbled."Free wolves also hunt,"Ghost said. He turned to look at Aleutia and smirked. "You up for a hunt?"he asked. His tone was in no way demanding and friendly. She could come if desired, but Ghost wasn't going to force her to come.

Dark figure came to her side, gray fur rustling as she turned to him. Thorns pricked to listen. Enjoy herself. Eyes flickered over the waters in all their strange beauty. The wolfess admired Ghost's courage to pull her from slavery, if that was what he was doing. There were a dozen things she could do to enjoy herself. Take a nap, eat, swim. But one thing bothered her the most. Aleutia couldn't remember the last time she'd had fun, or laughed. Or smiled. His words broke the barrier of her thoughts and she blinked a few times as her mind finally registered his words. "Sure." Deciding to test the figurative waters of his tolerance, she reached out and clipped him gently around the scruff of his neck. Spinning about, she raced towards the line of forest fast as a streak of black lightning. "Race ya there." She called back in a challenging tone.

Ghost was obviously surprised in the sudden change in mood of the she-wolf. She seemed to open up a little bit, and peek out of her shell. Ghost tilted his head slightly, almost gawking at Aleutia. He straightened up when she nipped him and ran away. The ebony male took the ashen female up on her offer. If it was a competition she wanted, then that was what she was going to get. Ghost put his head down and began trotting towards the forest. He held a smirk on his features as he moved lightly into a canter-like pace.
The male's legs fluidly padded beneath his form, rapidly gaining on Aleutia. Ghost finally lifted his head and was within a foot of the she-wolf. He raced behind her just waiting for the opportune moment to pass her.The onyx male didn't want to use all of his energy, for they would need it in order for them to acquire food, but his pace was now quick. "You can't outrun me,Aleutia,"he teased. His paws thundered on the ground and Ghost's tail whipped the air. Ghost had got his name for a reason, not because of his coloring, but of how he moved.

Gray nose stretched forward, lithe body running along at a swift pace, but not her fastest. Glancing back quickly, she caught sight of Ghost following in quite the leisurely way. Snorting at him, she wondered if he was really trying. His voice jesting in her ear soon made her aware that he was now. "Oh I don't know, I've had a lot of practice." Digging in her small paws, she tried to find a better foothold in the sand and push off stronger, faster.
They were just about to breach the shade of the woods when her forepaws sank into the sand and she stumbled over her own legs. With a surprised yelp, she tripped forward and tumbled over her shoulder to the ground. Sand sprayed up as her black body landed, and it was obvious she was shaking...with laughter.

From the moment he saw that spark back at the Auction Rock, Ghost knew that Aleutia was something more than she first showed him. It just took a while for her to spread her wings and soar. Ghost was pleased that he was correct. Whatever heartless demon had forced this female to close up, that would never happen again. Ghost's ears perked on his cranium as he listened to her taunting words.
The male watched Aleutia jet forewards, widening the gap between them. Ghost saw Aleutia completely trip over her own paws and sending the sand flying in all directions. Some concern dotted the alpha's features and he skidded to a stop. Those large yellow-green eyes of his blinked slowly and the male came towards the she-wolf. The male's tail drooped slowly. When he'd investigated closer, Ghost's own sides shivered in amusement.
"Practice, eh? Some help that did,"Ghost said laughing with her. He gently attempted to help her up and backed away. "Don't think that just because you fell it means our race is over,"he said. The inky black canid padded forewards and turned to look at his competitior. He liked it much better when she smiled instead of being so bottled up.

Aleutia was still gently laughing as she slowly got to her feet. Feeling Ghost touch her made a cold chill run down her spine, but she forced it away. Shaking the bits of sand from her smokey pelt, the wolfess finally managed to supress her laughter. Looking back up at the brute, her smile died a little. Surprised at how swiftly she'd let herself be this vulnerable. Gently clearing her throat, Aleutia felt a little exposed. Yet she noticed Ghost was smiling and laughing along with her, nothing bad had happened. He hadn't tried to hurt her. Letting her ashen lips curl just a bit more, her ebon ears twitched. Soft growl emitted as if she were disappointed. "Well that's a real shame, I was hoping to save you the embaressment."
Smirking lightly at him, she flicked her bushy tail. Giving her body one more shake before sending him a chellnging glance. "So, you ready?"

Ghost wagged his tail behind his frame. Oh so she had jokes now did she? Very funny. "Embaressed, me? Ha. I don't trip over my own paws,"he stated in a slightly mocking tone. His eyes narrowed playfully and his shoulders rocked in anticipation. "Bring it on.I was born ready,"Ghost said. He looked forewards and took off running. His legs were a blur of black fur under the large male. The alpha was a highly agaile being for his size. He swerved to avoid objects in his path and sped ahead in the lead. He knew that Aleutia was fast and didn't doubt her abilities to catch him. Ghost was going to take advantage of his lead and beat her. "You're making this too easy, Aleutia. Try and keep up, eh?"he said.
The male's dark fur blew as he ran. Ghost tucked his ears against his head and ducked low for more speed and his tongue lolled out of his mouth leisurely. Ghost was moste definately a sight to see, running like a large behemoth. To the average observer, it was a hilarious sight. But Ghost didn't really mind, he was having tons of fun and that was what mattered now.

Lip was lifted to show her pearly whites as though she were offended, though a smirk was taunt over her maw. "You're just jealous." Yet with that, he was gone and off without so much as a warning. With a determined flick of her tail, she bounded after him. Taking a little more care of where she put her paws this time. Tripping once was amusing, tripping twice? Rediculous. Emeralds watched the male up ahead, and her gray figure was pushing quickly towards him. Still, she was a small female, built more for her strength then for her speed. Maw stretched forward, body completely extended. Maybe she was a much more graceful runner then Ghost was, but he was honestly faster.
"At the least I get points for style." She shot back as her nose poked out beside his ribs. Aleutia had to admit this was way more entertainment than she'd had with any master, and she had no intentions of stopping it now.

When Ghost arrived at the hunting destination, he sat down and just looked out at the amount of prey before their eyes. He was studying the herd for their weaknesses and picking out one for Aleutia's and his own lunch. The slate male's sides rose and fell slightly faster than normal, as Ghost attempted to catch his breath. That was and enormous amount of fun. When the she-wolf Aleutia pulled up beside him, Ghost only smirked and her comment and agreed. "Fine. Points for style, but you still didn't beat me,"he said wagging his tail slightly. The male tipped his head at his competitior,"Good race though, if I do say so myself. Now for lunch,"the ebony male said.
He turned his yellow eyes forewards again and watched closely. Most of the animals in this land were strong, healthy, capable animals. It was really only the offspring that was vulnerable. Getting that size of prey should be a snap between the two of them. It was here that the male realized that he hadn't awarded Aleutia with her rank. She would recieve one as soon as this hunt came to a conclusion. For now, Ghost began to creep forward towards the herd, getting ready to strike.

Returning a lop-sided smirk, Aleutia halted and fell back on her haunches smoothly. Letting her own emeralds roam over their prey, tongue gently sliding over her lips. Letting her heart catch up with the blood rushing through her veins. The animals around here were plentiful enough, but it would still take some doing to find a good meal. They would just have to find something weak and young enough, but that wouldn't be too hard. It was early summer, they were all over the place. Glancing at the black male, Aleutia realized how long it had been since she'd actually hunted with another wolf. In the slave lands, one always had to fend for themself. Flicking her gray tail, she tried to forget those annoying little memories which repeatedly crept into her brain. Her attention veered back to reality as Ghost moved off. Aleutia rose and let her short legs inch forward, crouching slightly as she slid closer to their prey, stalking almost like a cougar. Though it was quite unnecessary, a couple of wolves could outrace anything with their amazing endurance if they felt like it. Keeping her sharp eyes focused on the prey, she moved off from Ghost a little bit, preparing to trap one of the animals.

Ghost's excitement began to grow as he inched foreward. His whole posture vibed and tingled with pure anticipation. Some of the herd began to move slightly away from the pair of wolves, but the other, less intelligible ones stayed put. This should be simply divine. If They could just get close enough, then the two wolves should grab a decent male. Ghost heard the she-wolf move off a little bit as he continued to prowl straight on. His yellow and green eyes were trained up ahead, ears perked, and his tail raised with dominance. The slate male soon began to move at a more intensified pace and his legs carried him into a faster motion. It wouldn't be long before the hunt now. The distance between Ghost and the herbivores was closing at an increasing rate.
There was only about five lengths seperating the lare canid and the prize. Ghost cast a glance towards Aleutia, and nodded very slowly. "Show time," Ghost murmured softly. He faced the front and then took off. A snarl erupted from the ebony male's throat and he flashed his pearly white canines. The male raced straight at the bumbling creatures, making them sperate in different directions, and have little regard for their comrades. Ghost whipped to the left and then swirved right, eventually targeting a more weaked beast. Ghost began ripping at the prey. His sharp teeth grabbed onto it's flesh and ripped creating a tooth-shaped hole in the persuant. With the two wolves combined, this being shouldn't take much to bring down.

Aleutia hung back, letting Ghost move in faster and startle the creatures first. She thought fast, watching them all scatter, her nimble legs going to work as she moved silently after them. Keeping her attention between the male and the herbivores, she kept her pace slow until he picked the one that he wanted. A target now in her sights, she zeroed in on it, slinking up fast and hidden in the fray of other animals escaping the present danger. With Ghost hot on it's trail, the creature was too frenzied to see her crouched in close. As it darted off, she sprung out, unfolding her powerful legs and running after it as fast as she dared.
Teeth bared and she snarled fiercely, leaping up and letting her fangs pierce the creature's thick shoulder. It was an unpleasant place to hold on to, for the animal jarring movements made it hard to keep her teeth sunk in as she ripped back on it's flesh. The thing was making pitiful cries, but for these few split seconds their was no remorse at all in the blood-lust of her instincts. Fur bristled in the excitement of the kill as she leapt at it again, claws coming out to, reaching out for anything in a savage attempt to fell the beast. It was tiring, the blood draining from it's wounds and strength sapped from running. With Ghost and Aleutia both, it wasn't long before one last hit brought it down..

"Little pig, little pig, let me come in....or I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house in...." There may be an actual reason for writing the Three Little Pigs. When they want to, wolves can be savage and killer creatures. They may look like your average, friendly dog, but getting amidst a hunt is where the true inner beast of a wolf shows true. There is a flow of uncontrollable adrenaline that coarses through a wolf's veins and pushes them to succeed at hunting.
As Ghost continued his frontal attack on the prey animal and Aleutia contributed her attacks, the beast had little left. It's vision began faltering and its legs surely couldn't hang on to two full adult wolves, tearing at it's flesh. The creature continued to run as best as possible, but the rest of the herd knew what would happen to their Herla brotheren and turned tail. They didn't want to vicious carnivores sucking out their blood like leeches.
Ghost pulled off the prey animal for a second and gave it a small space to manuver. He then raced back up and used his strong shoulder to ram into the creature. It stumbled fruitlessly to get away from Aleutia and Ghost, before crashing on its side with a healthy thud. The ebony male barked as he dodged the flailing legs and hooves. He whipped his tail behind his rump before charging back for the animal's throat. Ghost grabbed for the animal's vitals attempted to finished the creature off.
