--> Time runs outSaun watched Ghost enter a cave he would probably call his own. She was going to wait, but instead her eyes caught sight of some sort of den-like hole covered in bushes and thrush vines near the cave. She ventured to it and entered the small opening, it lead to a large opening almost underground. It was big enough to fit a good eight or nine wolves comfortably. She hoped she would not sleep here alone. She hated being alone, it probably scared her more than anything in the world. Soft eyes trailed around the den again, then she made her way out to catch Ghost exiting his new alpha den. Soon he would share it with his mate, she was suddenly excited at the thought of it. When they had pups she would definately play with them. Then she realized she was the only other wolf there besides himself at the moment. Maybe...nevermind. Saun shook her head and grinned at Ghost playfully, "I'm not sleepy at all, what do you want to do now?" She asked with her tail wagging.

Ghost was pleased that he finally go his own den. It had been a long time since he'd had a stationary place to rest at night. This was a reassuring thing to Ghost. When he came outside, he saw Saun standing there and he listened to her words. It was then that he realzied that he'd been dragging her around all day. His tail drooped slightly behind his frame. He came and sat down next to Saun and looked at her.
"Saun, I've been deciding where we go all day. I'll follow where you want to go,"Ghost said. His yellow/green eyes focused on her and he felt short of breath. He'd only had this feeling once before. He sort of liked it, sort of didn't. His mind wandered back to when he and Ion were together. It made him so happy just to be in her presence. He also recalled the events of the day. Ever since Saun had come to Azfal packlands, she'd made him feel the same way. But he wasn't quite sure that he wanted to tell her that quite yet. He waited to see what would happen.

In a flurry of dancing colors Saun's heart skipped a beat when his tail drooped. Maybe he was tired from all the running, and after all the sun was setting. Her mind raced in thinking of a way to take back what she had said. He might have wanted to sleep after all. She actually felt a large amount of guilt for something so small, why? Her new found emotions were curving her brain into some wild rollercoaster. Even as he replied, she still seemed in the back of her mind worried. She smiled at him again and turned, "Lets have a small walk then!" She said covering up her little emotional episode. She really wanted to be by the water as the sun set, it must be a beautiful sight. Turning, she was calmly toward the shore, the smell of the water wafed around her... it was calming. I become deeply entranced...

Now that the sun was setting in the packlands, the whole aura of the lands was slightly different than before. When Ghost had been here alone, it was peaceful and calm, yet somehow lonely and dark. But now that there was two others on the land, a certain void seemed to filled. Ghost stood up and padded beside Saun. He smiled back at her and he perked his sharp ears on his cranium, completely unaware that she was slightly worried before. "After you,"he said with a brief nod of his head.
Ghost wasn't tired, especially since he'd had much harder experiences as a rogue male. The life of a traveling wolf is demanding. They belong in pack and lone wolf has little chance of surviving. Now that his den was secured, things could run more smoothly. Ghost was completely at ease as the two came upon the beach. The water was deceptively clear, now that the sun wasn't shining so high up above it. The canvas of brilliant colors made for a stunning painting in the sky. The crisp crimson, rose, and tangerine helped Ghost relax and just enjoy the scenery about them.

Of the many colors I see...Saun nodded, very much relieved to see he wasn't tired like she first thought. Encouraged, she bound to the shore with Ghost behind her. She loved the sound of her feet on the shore, it made her wand to just jump around. She didn't though, even she could get embarrassed for her strange actions. Instead she watched Ghost. An idea formed in her mind, then she nodded to herself for confirmation, "I'll tell you something only me and my mother know." She said watching the many colors at the horizon. The scene even calmed her wild attitude into a serene and calm she-wolf. The beauty of this was new to her, and she took the image in knowing she would be able to see it many times more, "My real name is Sable, though it was never used. My father always called me Saun because it sounded better than whatever my mom would have named me." She said twirling around once with the wind. It made her slightly light headed, but she liked it. Yours catches my attention from the crowd.

Ghost was curious when Saun began to tell him a secret. He tilted his head at her words. When she told him her real name, he tried to fit the name to the one he'd known as Saun. "Sable,"he repeated slowly. A small smile formed on Ghost's thin lips. "That fits you well, despite it being the opposite of your fur color, though that doesn't matter," Ghost said. "My name is slightly the same.Ghosts aren't normally slate colored as you know. My mother was the one who named me. She always said that when I was little that I moved like a ghost, and thus that was where my name came from,"he said tilting his head back to its normal position.
The male's eyes diverted from the Deltess female for a moment to glance at the sunset. "Nature's wonders truly amaze me. They are...stunning,"Ghost said slowly. The male shifted his weight on his paws slightly. He was debating whether or not he should tell Sau...ah Sable what he was thinking. Ghost's furry brows crinkled together as his mind weighed either option. To tell his own secret, or to keep it to himself, that was the question. Ghost knew that if other males joined the pack, Saun would probably easily find another mate. It was then that he made his own decision. He watched Saun twirl in a circle and his tail wagged slightly at her fun.
"Saun,er Sable, I've also got something to tell you, that only I know,"Ghost said. He turned once more to face the pallid white female. "I know we've only recently met, and during that time..."He started. But the ebony male couldn't finish his sentence. He stood up on his paws again and started to walk back from the way he came. "Ah nevermind, forget it, maybe I really am tired afterall,"Ghost murmured over his shoulder. He felt like a coward for not really owning up to what he wanted to do. But maybe it would come in time.

Can words really change... Saun listened to his words, very interested in anything he had to say. She couldn't help but pay attention, otherwise she felt deprived. Well, let out the the meaning of ones words. She smiled and shook her head softly, "Good thing I can see you more than any ghost." She replied. "Well yes, she just thought the color fit my personality at times. She always did confuse me." She laughed softly. Her eyes never left the waters and where it met the sky though. Then he continued, his words slightly meshing together. Then he dismissed them altogether. Saun's heart stopped and she turned toward Ghost. Her eyes clashing with his own, "Aha, you can call me Saun still if you like, I'm more used to that name anyway." She started, but his words ate at her being, "No, what were you going to say." She said softly, from the bottom of her heart wanting to hear what he had to say in full. The course of one's entire life?

Ghost stopped dead in his tracks when Saun spoke. He looked shortly over his shoulder, debating yet again as to whether or not he would finish his sentence from before. His tail was at his ankles as he was trying to decide. He didn't want to be a chicken, but expressing feelings after one has lost a loved one if quite the difficult task. The male's darkened ears folded back on his head. It was now or never, he must do what he felt compelled to do or else he would never get it done.
Ghost blinked carefully and examined his forepaws, shuffling one in the sand. The colors in the sky were getting more and more vivid as the sun continued to get lower in the sky. "Saun, I think...I think...I'm in love with you,"Ghost stammered. His voice wasn't above a murmur and held a cautious tone to it. The slate male almost flinched when he said the words, not wanting to put his heart back on the line, but he thought that Saun was well worth it. She deserved to know his feelings before something else caused a dramatic turn of events.
He surely couldn't take it if that happened. The onyx male turned to face Saun and he padded back to his former position. The male reclined on his haunches and wrapped his bushy tail around his paws. He was going to face this regardless of the outcome, and take this like the alpha he was.

Once the flames die away,Saun watched Ghost, her eyes full of curiosity. Her heart pounding for whatever he, the alpha, had hesitated to say. His confessions stunned Saun so that her maw lay open slightly. She thought she might be the only shyly telling him of her feelings. Her heart swelled and she smiled, running up to his sitting form, "Oh you big oaf, I love you too." She said gingerly. Her eyes sparkled, there was no tricks or humor in her words despite the way she said them. It was a sencere statement she knew was true. How would he react? Would he thinks she was lying just to make him feel better? Lord she hoped not, she couldn't stand being calling a liar or any name at all. The ashes reach forth and embrace the wind...

Ghost couldn't help but be relieved. He could finally be free of the memory of Ion and move on completely with this life. Not that he would ever forget her, but at least he would be free to run without that on his shoulders. The slate male was overjoyed. They had seemingly saved each other. Saun was out of slavery and he was out of a broken spirit. When the she-wolf came closer to him, he couldn't help but want to lick her face and give tons of affection. The male buried his nose in her pallid white fur, just enjoying the moment. She loved him! He loved her! The situation was incredibly happy at the moment. When Ghost was able to sit back down, he held a genuine smile on his muzzle. He hadn't realized that this would make him so happy. The male's banner-like tail wavied happily in the air behind his rump. Ghost didn't necessarily didn't believe in love at first sight. But after he'd grown to know Saun some, the feeling was mutual and that felt good.

Such an interesting twist of events, her savior was the one she ended up falling for. She smiled, and let her tail go wild with excitement. Her white fur rippled as he buried his head in her fur, she licked his ear wanting to show all the affection she could. She felt truly loved now, and the future seemed so bright. Well, the future had yet to come at least. She wondered what happened now. (ooc; crappy post, rly rly bad with them lol.)

Ghost's feelings were off the charts and through the roof. A wide smile held his features, which wasn't too common for others to see. Saun made him incredibly happy. When she licked him, Ghost held a sort of bashful look to his features, but it soon faded. He could definately grow to like this. Ghost cherished this moment so very much and wanted to hang onto it for the rest of his life. The slate colored male growled softly in affection at his love. "Instead of being the Deltess of the pack would you be willing to be the Alphess and my mate instead?"Ghost asked. He knew that this job held a lot of responsibility to it, but he felt that Saun was deserving of such a high ranking role. No one else seemed to have caught his attention in the way that she did. Eventually, they would have to see how things progressed and if they wanted cubs or not, but for now, Ghost just wanted to enjoy the period of new found love.
