The ebony brute known as Ghost padded into his lands. His head was held high, like normal, but a unusual grin etched his features. It wasn't big and expressive like some others, but it was enough to show his joy. Ghost was quite proud of what he'd done. He was leading the way to Saun's new home and life. A life without being enslaved, where she could run free and learn to live the life of a real wolf. She'd told him that she didn't want to be a slave anymore and Ghost had solved that problem.
The large male strided into the lands. The sany beach and dark waters weren't the most impressive place, but they were safe. Safe from harm, worries, and everything else. Ghost reclined on his haunches, his bushy tail wrapping around his paws. The Alpha scoped out the land, making sure it was untouched like he'd left it.Nothing was out of place. The scenery was perfect for the homecoming of the female called Saun.
Ghost waited paitently for her to catch up. Meanwhile he watched the tide again as he did when he'd first came. "Well it isn't all mine any more,"he murmured to himself,"but at least the company is pleasant to be around." The onyx male stayed sitting on his rump, just counting the moments when the first packmember would be officially welcomed home.

--> Run run wildSnow colored paws padded softly behind Ghost. She had grown more confident on her way here. Saun's imagination had run wild on their small journey. She imagined every rock they passed to be some sort of ruthless creature and she playfuly snapped at it. She could smell his scent so she knew this must be his territory. Taking in her surrounding, she was impressed. It wasn't filled with trees, though it did have some. It was open, enough for Saun to run like an idiot, which she felt like doing. Instead she stayed behind Ghost. Her blue eyes sparkled as she saw the shore, it was slightly murky, but what she wouldn't give to go jump around in water. This place was amazing to those who could see the best in it. She really did feel free, and that feeling meant more to her then the thought of seeing her mother again. There were no other scents here, so she could tell she was possibly the first wolf brought here other then Ghost himself. She wondered if he liked the seclusion. Maybe she was just an intruder to his peace? She plopped down beside him and rolled so she was on her back, "So mister alpha, this as big as the pack is getting?" She grinned from her position, she felt like a playful pup again.

Ghost couldn't help but laugh lightly at Saun's behavior. She was very easily entertained and open-minded. The male's yellow eyes hinted amumsement. He just watched as she snapped and at various items that caught her attention. The brauny male just shook his head. It was amazing what a little freedom could do for someone. Ghost kind of liked this as well. Some company was alright just as long as they didn't ride his nerves. That was a completely different story.
As far as the lands went, Ghost was somewhat proud of the lands where they resided. It was calm, and still peaceful. Which was completely okay with him. Indeed, Ghost liked his privacy, but occasionally someone would come along and work their way into his good graces. Ghost only respected a few,but not many had been that lucky. Normally he was all jaws, claws and snarls. The onyx male tilted his head at Saun. Her words played in his ears. Ghost didn't know if the pack was going to get bigger.
If there was another that captivated his attention like she did, then maybe. "I suppose that it can somewhat bigger, but not huge. All the wolves running around might give me a headache," He smiled back at her, but it disappeared as fast as it had appeared. "While we're on the subject of the pack, I suppose you need a rank. We can't just have you staying here without a proper title,"he stated. The large yellow eyes of the male blinked thoughtfully. He wanted her rank to be just perfect and suit her personality well. "For now, I think you'll be well placed as Deltess. It isn't a spot in the High council, but you're among the most well respected in the pack. Contgratulations Saun. Now for your first lesson in hunting,"the Alpha stated.
He raised to his paws, and dipped his forepaws to the ground in a bow. His rump wavied in the air and a playful growl rumbled in his throat. Swiping a large paw on Suan's paw, he whispered,"You're it." The male raised an eyebrow and bounded off in the opposite direction. For whatever reason, Ghost felt like playing himself. It was good every once in a while. What was played in the territory stayed in the territory.

--> Tag your itShe nodded, not to sure if she wanted to be surrounded by wolves just yet. That would kind of scare her, not being used to seeing more than three wolves at a time. On top of that, she wouldn't have known anyone. This subject smoothly swtich to what rank, thats right. She needed a place here even if it was only Ghost and herself. 'Oh oh I could be the rock queen!' She though excitedly. He pronounced her title Deltess, that would work. She let off a cheesey smile signaling that she liked it. Then her eyes widened, lessons...now?! She just got here why would she.... before Saun's mine could continue, he lunged and tagged her. Saun's mouth dropped considerably from her muzzle. Did he just? "Haha, big mistake." She rolled off hre back and in a second she was dashing behind him. So hah, he could play. Not that she doubted, ok well she might have dully thought he might be boring. Her paws pounded beneath her, gaining on the male, 'Whatcha gonna do now?' Saun thought smirking, yes she was self proclaimed queen of rocks and games.

Ghost had a feeling that Saun, like himself, would be overwhelmed with too many wolves at one time. For now they would take it slow and just see how the pack progressed. The obsidian male knew that it would grow in time, but now, they could enjoy the peace that was the pack. A sly look crossed the features of the male. He was glad that she accepted her rank without trouble. That made this whole ordeal official. Saun was the first joining packmember!
The large male let his legs carry him, and he sped fluidly over the sand. His tail wagged behind his frame and a playful grin was plastered on his features. The onyx male let his tickle-me-pink tongue loll languidly out of his mouth and his paws dance beneath him. It would take a lot of effort to catch him. Ghost was a fast wolf, and had many tricks up his sleeves.
The male's ears pricked as Saun warned him that she was coming. Ghost took heed to her words and began zig-zagging through the sand. "Catch me if you can, princess,"Ghost teased lightly. Eventhough this was a cub's game, it encouraged hunting skills and technique. So far, Saun was doing well. Ghost knew she was intelligent.

--> Not a clueHer fur ran smoothly against her body, it was slightly shaggy instead of very short like most wolves. Her tongue semi-looled out of her mouth, almost in a consentrating manner. Her legs taking in long strides to gain speed. And suddenly just like that Ghost made crooked movements making Saun almost crash altogether trying to follow. "Holy!" She yelped trying to imataite his zig-zagging style. She wasnt turning fast enough so it was an awkward stride. Her ears met her head as the teasing reached her auds. Growling playfully, she barked at him, "I plan to!" she replied speeding up making trying to follow his movements a lot harder. 'Grr, the rocks I usually chase don't move like this.' She complained mentally. She suddenly was force to jump over a boulder, causing Saun to slow down. She snorted and comtinued attempting to even just follow Ghost.

Ghost was enjoying himself, just running around and living free. He was sure that this was better than other places with such strict ruling. Sometimes males could be so full of themselves, thinking they owned the world. That wasn't true, females had a say as well, at least in the Afzal Packlands. That was the difference between here and everywhere else. Ghost heard Saun's words and chuckled lightly. He would believe it when he would see it.
"We'll see about that won't we?" Ghost called back. He watched Saun's imitation zig-zag and began to laugh loudly. His yellow-green eyes traced the path she made. The onyx male slowed down himself to watch the interesting display. His tail whipped the air as he did so. She still had a lot to learn, but she was obviously determined. By that Ghost was encouraged. Saun still had a bright future. Realising that she was gaining on him, Ghost started running again. He was heading west off the shore. The male's paws churned under him, and splashed into the water. This was the first time that he'd gone in the water, and it was refreshing.
His dark coat laid down as water droplets sprayed on his fur. Ghost opened his jaws and gave a mock yawn. His large, pallid white teeth shone and a small whinning noise came forth. "I haven't been tagged yet, what's taking so long?"Ghost asked. He stood near the shore, ankle-dep in the water. He knew this was Saun's first arrival here and wanted to give her a chance. But that didn't mean he would go too easy on her.

--> In a rushHer pace was quick, but his odd trickery threw her so off, she was a good five yards behind hm. 'This guy....is good.' She though trying to keep up withthought tripped and falling somewhere off to the side. He commented on her earlier reply and she just wanted to stick her tongue out, or maybe just run him over, without hurting him of course. Her snow colored paws hit the water and splashed against her body because of her stride. Saun's feet almos tripped in the soft ground in the water, as it was brought in and out from the shore. Some hunting lesson this was. all they were doing was chasing each other around. She snorted at his next words, "I nexer said I would tag you instantly!" her argued trying to cover her embaressment. Her mouth nearly gaped as he stopped up ahead of her. Using what energy she could, she pushed off the ground harder. Her run turned into a fast sprint. She was prepared to either run head first into him, or at least get close to his tail. Then at least she wouldn't be so far behind.

Ghost was plainly enjoying himself. He hadn't played games like this since he was a whelp. The large black male stood there in the water, and his eyes were cast downward a second as he looked into the water at his paws. Some would say that he had a short attention span, but he was recalling events that happened so long ago.
Ghost and his siblings pounced and tussled with each other. The small black cub jumped on a rock, that was bigger than him, and wagged his tail triumphantly. He sent a happy howl into the air with his yellow-green eyes closed. Two other wolf cubs came at him, growling playfully. The cubs jumped on each other and bit each others' ears. Their small cub teeth drew no blood, so all was fair and fun. Their parents watched from the mouth of their large cave. Smiles adorned their features as the alpha male sat and his mate lie next to him...
As Ghost's thoughts came back to reality, his eyes lifted. Water splashed his ankles, bringing him back to the future. He saw the pallid white form of Saun racing towards him. The ebony male just stood there watching her. Her words registered in his ears and the male snorted. He puffed his chest out like he'd done as a cub and just stood his ground. This was just like old times, only not with his siblings. The male was ready for her attack, he was ready for anything. Ghost tensed his legs slightly and turned his head. Regardless if he was going to take the attack, he was still going to protect himself.

--> Just pitch blackJust before she barreled into him, she could see the trance in his eyes. He wasn't even going to run? She tried to yell something, but instead she hit him head on. The only problem with that was it was like hitting a brick wall. "Oww oww oww." She said shaking her head and laying on the ground. The world was spinning and it took a minute for her to even begin to know where she was. 'mamma? what was daddy like when he met you?' Saun shook her head from the drowsiness. Wow what a bang, she let out an ungraceful snort and laughed despite her headache. "That was the most I've had in a while!" She exclaimed glanceing over to Ghost, "Tag, your it." She said, unsteadily getting to her feet. Closing her eyes she knew she couldn't run anymore, all out of breathe. Even her side ached from laughing. "Where you ok back there, you kind of zoned out..." She trailed off softly.

Have you ever seen those old train wreck movies? Where the picture is in black and white and fuzzy? And when the two trains hit, they blow up in a fury of ash, smoke, and metal? Well that was similar to Saun's and Ghost's collision, although it was less of a mess. Ghost had intended to stand there, because he didn't think that the hit would hurt that bad. The male wolf stood his ground and took the hit. He yelped and stumbled slightly backwards and splashed in the water. Otherwise the male was okay. When Saun burst into laughter, Ghost did the same. His black coat sides heaved and he was gasping for breath. The canid regained his footing shortly after.
"That was fun,"Ghost said, and his tail wavied in the air behind him. He nodded shortly when she asked if he was alright. "Yeah, I was fine. I just recalled something from a long time ago, when my brothers and sisters played, like this," Ghost remarked and tilted his head."Are you alright, we collided pretty hard,"he said as he began padding towards shore. He was soaking wet and dripping, but it was well worth it.
They had their first hunting lesson, got acquainted with the lands better, and had a little fun. Though training wouldn't always be like this, it was effective. Ghost himself was taught to hunt this way, and he did pretty well. When the obsidian male got on shore he shook his coat. Ghost's fur poofed out and spiked. But it didn't matter much, it would lay back flat later.

--> Out of placeHer fur clung to her body, but it really didn't matter. Though some of her fur, what wasn't wet, stuck up in odd places. It was the price for fun. She waded out of the water and sat down on the soft ground. "Your telling me, I've never played with another wolf before." She said out of breathe but happy. She listened to his experience, brothers and sisters. She didn't have any,but she was sure she wouldn't have got along with any of them. That was her kind of luck. She suddenly wondered what Ghost's parents were like. She shook herself hard as Ghost made his way to the shore, making her own fur spike out. Bits of her were still dry so it was all good, "I'm find, little bit dizzy is all." She said shaking her head for effect, "I have a hard head anyway." She added laughing a little. It was true, running into things did that to you. Saun watched Ghost's fur spike, she tried to hold her laughter back knowing she probably looked about the same.

Ghost blinked at Saun for a second, pondering her words. She'd never played with a wolf before? He couldn't help but feel bad that he was blathering about his family and she'd never had any real family. He decided that that would be more of a sensitive subject among himself and Saun and wouldn't talk too much more about it. Ghost nodded and laughed when she talked about her hard head. "I can most definately relate there,"he said. His tail wagged behind his frame again. The male wolf began walking again towards the tall trees to the east of the territory.
He had spotted some dens to there when he'd first entered. "Now that we've explored the territory a little bit, do you want to pick your den out? I have yet to choose mine as well,"Ghost said. He prowled up on the shore, black figure cruising over the sand. Ghost had his sights on a rather large cave towards the back of the lands and wanted to get there before some other creature claimed it for themselves. The male stopped and turned back to Saun." Coming princess?"he asked.

--> Nature of wizardsShe felt stupid when he became silent. She knew why, but not all was as bad as it seemed. Her days as a pup were amazing. She spent them battling evil skunks and barking relentlessly at the smallest animals who dared come near. She smiled widely showing that she knew no lonliness or mistreatment that so many had suffered. She almost felt that someone with more suffering should have been saved. Still, it felt good to truly live. She would tell her pups of her insane little experiences if she ever had any. She never thought on that much. She didn't even consider finding a mate some day due to her position, but now she could completely choose the wolf she would fall in love with. Well, sorta, her mother said love was unexpected. Then her eyes focused on Ghost's back. Would he ever find the she-wolf to call his own? He was so kind and gentle, he would make a father any pup would want. At that she wondered about her own father, seething at the kind of wolf he had become toward her over time. She gave Ghost a dumb look even though he couldn't see it as he called her princess. Suddenly thinking up something imaginative she trotted up behind him, "Ok then my valient prince, lead the way!" She replied, holding her head up for effect. Inside she was laughing though. She could get used to spending time with Ghost, he was truly amazing to her.

Ghost continued to stroll through the tall trees in the forest. He listened to Saun's comment and couldn't help but laugh. "Alright, this way,"he said happily. Ghost was thoroughly entertained. Normally the male doesn't open up to other wolves. He constantly sat by himself observing other pack wolves. He had to admit that this was a new experience for him, being the alpha of a pack and all, but it was starting off well. There wasn't too much drama and the pack wasn't overwhelming. It was just perfect. The black male hadn't really gotten close to another wolf outside of his old pack.Since then, not too many females had caught his attention.
He had thought of Ion a lot of times in the past, but his heart was mending and he was letting her memory go. Ghost had been a shell for a while, not really living, his life recently though, had been turned upside down. The male's yellow-green eyes watched Saun as he trotted forewards. He was just watching her move next to him and he was glad that she had come along with him. Ghost was headed further into the territory that belonged to the Afzal pack wolves. When the caves came into sight, Ghost went inside the one he'd scoped out. He strided into the mouth of the rocky structure and looked inside. While inside,Ghost made a decision to stay.
The aura of the cave felt warm and inviting. He ventured back out and began looking for sticks. His old friend Nicodemus had taught him an old trick of marking his den without having to urinate near his sleeping spot. The male picked up a couple sticks in his mouth and slobbered all over their surfaces. He made sure the entire sticks were covered in saliva and Ghost stratigically placed them in a 'u' shape at the mouth of his sleeping place. When satisfied with his work, Ghost stood inside the cave, examining his work. "There, all finished,"The canid said and exhaled softly. He looked out and smiled zealously at Saun. This could be the start of a wonderful friendship or something more.
