--> Symphony of rosesSaun found herself on an odd place. It was a rock, wow that was the funnest thing in the world. She only had a thousand back home to jump off of. Hopping on the rock she sat and hummed a random tune to herself. Best to just make then best of this as she could. Maybe if she waited long enough someone would come get her. Saun could see other wolves and even horses. Wow, she had never seen a horse up close. They seemed afraid though, maybe she should go say hi? If she moved, would her mother be able to find her again? "HELLO!" Saun barked from where she stood. They didn't even look her way, "Aww, thats rude." She muttered to herself. Looking around her, everyone seemed kinda worried. Was the rock that scary? Actually, this rock was really cool, who wouldn't have fun? Sighing, she shuffled her paws beneath her and wonder what would happen now.

"Horses aren't the most appealing of company. In fact, I find most of them unintelligible,"came a deep voice from behind. It was hardly above a murmur, but audible to the female's ears. There behind her sat the obsidian male known as Ghost. He seemed to appear out of no where and was just reclining on his haunches, his yellow-green eyes just looking around. Ghost was in a nonchalant mood and had just strolled here when he heard the female's ever enthusiastic voice and her humming.
When she first spoke to the horses, the ebony male winced at the pitch, but curiousity got the best of him. Normally this male would keep his sniffer out of other wolves' business, for whatever reason, he was drawn here. Aside from that, curiousity killed the cat, never the wolf. When the male cast a glance about, everyone else seemed tense.
Ghost's brows crinkled. He could smell some fear and apprehension intermingled in the air. The she-wolf before him though, seemed...unique in her own way. "What are you in for?"Ghost asked. His head tilted to one side and then back to its normal position. There was a flicker of emotion, but Ghost expression went back blank. He was trying to figure out why everyone was all up tight. Truth be told, the male didn't know these creatures were about to be sold into bondage. In this case, he was uninformed.

--> Places for dreamsA deep voice from behind her made her head jerk back so fast her brain spun. It took her a minute to focus on the male wold behind her. Dang, how did he get there without him noticing. She snorted and turned, "Can't really comment on that, my first time meeting one." She said watching the male. He was big, yet he seemed young still. He didn't look like he belong in a place like this. She shook her head and smiled, "I'm Saun by the way." She said smiling. "I have to ask though, are you lost? You don't seem the type to buy slaves." She asked. She knew full well her own purpose. Not that she would admit that to her Childish behavior. In the back of her mind she still hoped her mother would come back for her. It wouldn't happen, but it entertained her mind to think so.

Ghost almost chuckled when he frightened Saun. But he restrained himself to only a smirk. The male wolf raised only one brow. ''First time meeting one,eh?'' he repeated, "Well to me they only make a good snack," Ghost said even more quietly than when he first spoke. "They call me Ghost,"he said. But the male's whole demeanor soon changed.A somewhat shocked growl came to the wolf's throat as he heard the rest of her words.
"Slaves? You guess quite right of me, I don't buy slaves, though I'm not lost either. I heard you talking to those beastly equines and wanted to investigate. How can you sit here? You don't want to be a slave, right?"Ghost said bristling. He hadn't the foggiest idea that this was going on, but it was going to stop. If Ghost had anything to say about it, it would. No wonder he had come here. This was an eye opener to him.
"Tell me that you're not some drone that awaits her fate here,"he stated. The dark black male lifted to his paws, all his nonchalant attitude had dissipated. Ghost just couldn't process this.Who was enslaving these wolves and horses? He must admit that there was some compassion there, but not much. It was more outrage. Ghost's yellow-green eyes burned with anger and he hunched his shoulders. His tail raised dominantly, and his nostrils flared. This wasn't right. Wolves were supposed to be free to run. They lived in packs in the wild with no constraint. What the heck was this? How could they just sit there and let someone harm them?

--> dare the demonsShe rolled her eyes at his comment, snack or not maybe they were nice. She wouldn't mind racing with one of those guys, they looked fast after all. Her gaze moved away from 'Ghost' to see another one walk by. It was a lovely mare being led away by a dark colored stallion, probably being bought. Her comment must have shook Ghost, because his emotions changed so quickly even she was slightly afraid. She listened to his small rant, he had to be completely oblivious to how the world was changing. "Was I that loud?" She muttered, her blue eys gazing to her left. She really didn't want to meet Ghost's eyes now. "No, I don't want to be a slave." She started looking at a nearby wolf. "But... what else can I do?" Her voice hardened a little at the reality, "If by some chance I escaped, what would I do then? Sorry to inform you, but I'm as dumb as a brick. I don't know how to hunt, and until now I've never left home. I could just end up being killed or captured again." She huffed,"Besides, you think its easy to just come in and out of here? If any of us tried that we would be torn apart." She sighed, hating herself right about now. "Mom will come get me though." She whispered before trailing off, it was a horrible lie. The thought of being some wolves slave both comforted and scared her. On her own she wouldn't stand a moment of survival.

Ghost hadn't meant to yell at her directly. It was just that he was shocked. Bondage was something that humans had done, he hadn't expected it to happen to canids. The ebony male hung his head for a moment, calming himself down, and regaining his composure. He perked his ears as he heard the clip-clop of the horses hooves. He didn't look up but knew what was happening. When the horses passed, Ghost lifted his his head.
"I'm apologize, I didn't mean to lash out at you. It just...kills me to see this happening to our kind, you know?"the male's voice this time was calm, there was no trace of anger at all." You were kind of loud, I must admit,"the obsidian male said with a chuckle. It was a deep laugh like his voice, and had a smooth, liquid chocolate-like texture to it.
"As for you being dumb, I don't think so. I would have told you straight up if I thought you were stupid. If you can't escape alone, come with me. You won't have to live this life any more, and though I can't take all of them, at least I can save you. That is if you're sure that you don't want to be a slave. I'm in process of claiming my own land, you could live there freely, no strings attatched. I could teach you the art of hunting, and you will be incapable no longer. It is your choice. Though if you don't trust me and you say that your mother is coming to get you, then I suggest you get the heck outta here before some lust-driven male gets ahold of you. They are no good..."Ghost said quietly.
His shoulders were now square with the rest of his body and every muscle was relaxed. If she didn't choose to come along, that was on her. At least he tried to provide a better life for her. Ghost didn't know where this generosity was coming from, because he didn't offer it often, but maybe he'd developed a soft spot. With thqat said, the ebony male began to walk away. He took one last look over his shoulder before beginning to head back the way he came.

--> Dancing with flamesSaun's muzzle twitched in humor at his apology, not taking offence at all to his earlier harshment. She tilted her head and nodded, "No one but the power driven masters wants this, just when everyone thought the slaughter was over." She agreed, calmed down enormously. What a little temper she held. Her mother would have found it amusing and would have laughed, her small voice would only make Saun smile as well. She nearly snorted something foul when he disagreed on her intelligence, or lack thereof. She had a lot to learn, she knew that, but the back of her mind screamed in fury of putting herself down like that. Her ears perked as he voice a proposition. Her eyes widened and her mouth nearly dropped. The chance to live freely while having a real home. Did she really have the chance to get away from slave owners who would only beat and torture her? Then again he could be lying, but even so would it be different going with any other slave owner? Her mouth opened to say someone, anything, but nothing came. Instead he turned to leave, and Saun was frozen. 'Go....stay....go....stay.....GO YOU IDIOT!' Saun bound forward and landed next to Ghost, "Lead the way oh great one." She smiled.

The ebony male was releaved that wasn't mad at him. Her own temper seemed to be dulled as well, though she didn't seem to be as mad in the first place. He thought about her words carefully. Indeed she was right.
Ghost couldn't help but hold a smirk when he saw her consider his offer. Eventhough he liked his quiet, he didn't think that Saun would cause a lot of trouble. Aside from that, he couldn't just leave her here after he'd offered his home. That would be crueler than handing her over to a slave owner. Getting someone's hopes up and then crushing it doesn't only hurt the physical being. That hurts the soul and emotions as well. Ghost definately wasn't going to do that. But that was only if she accepted.
The obsidian male took short strides. At that point, he was getting doubtful that Saun wasn't going to come with him. Ah well he tried. But Ghost's ears perked as he heard pawsteps and Saun's voice. His bushy tail wagged shortly behind his frame. Ghost couldn't help but be pleased. He was glad that he could rescue this female. His golden-green eyes scanned the lands a last time. "I'll be happy to,"he said, smiling shortly back.
This was one paw step closer to ending this slavery...
