Darki walked into this beautiful place and she almost cried from the beauty of it. The waterfall was so pretty and seemed like a picture though it wasn't. It was full of life and kept the members of this herd alive. 'I would like to be part of this herd.' she thought.
She waited another minute to take in her surroundings and then trotted over to a beautiful stallion that she recognized to be Skylark. "Hello there. Are you the leader of this herd?" Darki had to make sure that he was so that he might ask her to be part of his herd. Darki did not know why there were not many horses around in this environment. It looked as if a ton of horses would be part of this magnificent herd. She thought of many reasons that there were not many horses here. One was that maybe this place was just dicovered. That was the most likely reason Daki told herself.

Skylark trotted up to Darki, his mane billowing in the wind lightly. Chestnut bod shone brightly in the sunlight that was surging through the light trees overhead. A soft nicker reached his harks. The swiveled in the direction of the mare ahead. Daggers dug into the earth and he halted. "Hello. Yes, I am the leader, Skylark. Who might you be?" His tail swished and he stamped down a dark gray hoof.
He felt totally relaxed in this paradise that he had discovered. Canaa was just as its name suggested. It was a lush land, plentiful in greenery and clear water. There was soft ground, perfect for a run. Water flowed, but not too rapidly so any horse could play in it. Canaa, the land of perfection.

Darki nodded her head and she softly replied to him. "Hello Skylark. I am Darki. It is a pleasure to meet you. You may want to know that I am a master though I get slaves only to set them free. I would rather call them apprentices." Darki shook her head and and her long brown tail swished and she stepped to the side of Skylark. She really liked this stallion very much.
She looked around and wished she could take a run by his side. This place was amazing.

Skylark eyed the mare oddly. It seemed inconprehensible to him that a horse who was kind like this mare would be a master. She seemed polite and calm, not fiery and cruel. Both orange harks pricked at her every word. Darki seemed to be pleasant, but he longed to test her true kindness. That would wait until later though. He whinnied to the mare in response, "I see. Do you own lands?" His deep brown orbs locked with the mare's for a second, but then he looked around at Canaa again. It was such a glorious land.
The large horse lifted his head and peered into the canopy of trees above him. He spotted a two song birds flitting around one nest. Ah, spring was such a wonderful time.

Darki relaxed her body. Skylark did not seem too confidnent in the way she treated her apprentice, so she would offer if he would like to meet her. "No, I do not own lands. I was wondering, if you would like to meet dear Lunar. She is a very nice young mare. I must warn you though that she likes to question things very much." Darki would like Skylark to meet Lunar. She was a very nice young mare. He would love her.
Darki looked around at the waterfall again. It was so beautiful and peacefull. A perfect place for spring.

Lunar walked up behind Darki. Looking at the stallion she kept her head low. "Hello" She said nervously. She wasn't excactly sure what to say or do. "I'm Lunar Eclipse" She told the stallion glancing at Darki. "How are you?" She asked potlitly while looking around at the land before her. It was beautiful she admitted and she hoped this is where they where going to stay. She had already invisioned herself running through the grass.

Skylark eyed the two mares. Lunar seemed nice, if not a little young. Darki didn't have a land, so that was good news. She could easily slip into his lifestyle. He dipped his head to Lunar lightly upon her introducing herself. He spoke to Darki first. "Darki, I see your slave, Lunar, is quite well taken care of. If you wish to live with me though, I would ask that you and Lunar both become free-roamers. In my herd, we are all the same rank. None step above another. We all work on the same page to set the slaves free." He was firm in his words. If the mare felt it necessary to be a master, then she wouldn't work well with him. Any master would think that they were above the slaves, no matter what. Skylark would not take that in his herd.
Skylark relaxed his pose, standing with on ear tilted at Lunar and the other at Darki. He spoke softly to Lunar. "Hello there. I am doing fine."

"That is just fine Skylark. She is not even a slave. Just an apprentice. I took her from 'the rock' so she would not get a cruel master. I am not above her in any way. I am teaching her a very special trick called walking on water." Darki hoped that Skylark would not think she was lieing and ask her to do it. It was very exhausting work. She and Lunar needed rest after the long walk.

Lunar's head shot up at Skylark's request. 'Be a free-roamer' She smiled already she liked skylark. Looking towards Darki Lunar awaited her answer praying that Darki would agree. Lunar would do almost anything to be free again. When Darki gave her answer Lunar's head shot up and her posture became straighter. She was happy that she wasn't a slave anymore but her father's betrayal had come back and Lunar looked down at the ground with a frown on her face.

Skylark eyed the two mares. Now their stats were even. It must be a wonderful feeling for the newly-freed slave, or 'apprentice' as she was called. Skylark tilted his head with confusion at Darki's mention of 'walking on water'. Was that even possible? "Can I have an example?" His voice was pleasant and light. Curiousity took over him like kitten would with a small piece of string. Skylark was easily amused.
But then his eyes caught the other mare frowning. What was wrong? She seemed quite sad, and that was unusual for a newly-freed horse. "What is wrong, Lunar?" His amiable expression changed into one of concern and care.

"That would be fine, but don't think I will teach you. Only apprentices of me can learn." Darki answered but was not to happy. It took a lot of energy. But, before she walked off to the pool of the waterfall, she ansered Skylark's question to Lunar because she fret that Lunar would get upset about the question. "Skylark, Lunar has had a bad experience with being a slave. Her father betrayed her and sent her off to the Auction Rock to become a slave. She does not like to be reminded of the experience." Darki hoped that Lunar had not minded because she only responded so Lunar would not feel worse. She did not like to see her young aprentice upset.
On that note, she walked off to the pond and went ahead and walked on it. She was very tired but would only rest as soon as the both of them had places in this beautiful herd.

Lunar glared lightly at Darki but realized she was only trying to help. Sighing she laid her tired body on the ground resting her head. She watched as Darki walked on the water and she thought about what she had said earlier. 'The wind huh' She thought to herself. Lunar looked up at Skylark and wondered where the other mare Darki was talking about earlier was. Confused she opened her mouth to ask Skylark but shut it quickly figuring she would meet her in time.

The chestnut stallion watched the mare walk across the water. "How do you do that?" Confusion filled him. She seemed exhausted.
Skylark looked at the now-asleep Lunar. If she was upset about thinking about slaves, it wouldn't be good for her in this herd. She probably would have to get over it to work out in Canaa. He ran over the categories in his herd. There were the alphas, which was just for he and whoever his mate became. Then there were two others, the fighters and the planners. Fighters were the ones who went out to the slave rock and tried to intercept the slaves before they ever were captured. Planners helped think out plots to get slaves freed from masters. Their job was to find the worst masters and where to get their slaves from.
"So, do you guys want to fight to free slaves or to help make plans? I don't mind which, but our biggest thing is freeing slaves around here. After this, you guys can sleep. I can tell that you are both very tired." Skylark eyed both of them. It was unlikely that either were going to be of use.

Darki returned to Skylark's side. She was exhausted. "Do not ask me. Ask the wind. The wind will carry you. You just must beleive in the wind and trust it. In a fight, the wind will help you once you are it's friend. Wind is what gaurds you. It is the thing that keeps you safe when you fret that something bad is to happen. I am very tired becasue you must talk to the wind and that is a hard thing to master. It takes a lot of energy to contact it and then use for your own will." Darki knew that he would never understand the wonders of wind, but at least she could try to make him understand.
"I would like to fight to free slaves. I am guessing that Lunar would like to do the same, but you should ask her when she awakens." On that note, she took a nap of her own. She was very tired after walking on the water. It takes a lot of energy.

Lunar awaked from her sleep. "Hello" She said warmely to Skylark. She noticed that Darki had fallen asleep. "Um do you mind if i explore your lands" She asked quietly hoping he would say yes. She stood with both ears forward and her tail swishing casually behind her. Looking out over the lands Lunar was excited to finally run across the plain free as a bird. She gave a short whinny in her excitment and looked back at Skylark.
