That's right! Me!
He arrived yesterday, all cute and cuddly like, and losing hair like it was snowing or something. So of course my saddle, saddle pad, brushes, gloves, and everything else are all covered in white hairs.
His name's Edward, show name Shimmer of Mischief, and he's a 7yo 12.2hh Welsh B <3
He's going to be company for my ~15.1hh Standardbred gelding Latte, as well as another riding horse for me (or at least I'll be working him) and I might do a bit of showing with him - and will definitely be taking him out to pony club on the odd occasion.
We shoved my saddle on him to see if it fit him and lo and behold, it did, so we have three horses and only need two saddles between them. We don't need to buy as much stuff as we thought we did because some of the stuff we have and didn't think would fit him does, and some of the stuff we have we didn't think we had - Mum's making cage front stirrups for the beginner kids that'll be riding him out of some scraps of old leather from a broken harness, so that's one less thing we need to buy. In fact, I think we're pretty much sorted by way of gear for now, except that if I want to show him I need to get him a bridle that actually goes with my saddle, because under saddle judges can be a bit finicky about whether or not your tack matches, especially hacking judges.
I'll post some pics later, when I have time, but we're just about to head out to the paddock, and when I can be outside hanging around with the new pony and the Standy why hang around on the internet??

Thanks =]
Lugu, I do pretty much anything and everything, dabbling in showjumping (but not big) and working on flatwork mostly at the moment. I ride for the fun of it, so I do what I enjoy, as well as working on things that will improve what I enjoy (ie position issues for showjumping). I ride bareback every so often, which is another reason I need my position to be good. My Standy is intended to be my eventing horse but I need to iron out a few problems before we start jumping again, namely a fear of the jumping arena we use O.O and a little bolting problem that's mostly fixed by a new bit that works well for both him and me. Edward isn't very forward moving really, and can be a bit reluctant to jump, but I think he's worried he might get jabbed in the mouth, because once I got him over a few jumps he was very confident.
Sorry for the novel lol
