Moving down the mountain, wind blasted against her fur. Water seemed to disapear from her eyes as the gusts hit her, making the wolfess blink. God only knew why she had woken up in such a good mood this day. When she had first gotten the urge to awaken this morning her body stretched and a yawn ripped from her maw. A fleeting moment of peacefulness had shocked her bdy and rocked her mind when her paw had touched Thaw's. It was as if they fit togethor. The thoughts of him made her totally unobservant of her surroundings; not a good thing for a master out and about now a days.
A smile was planted firmly on her mouth as she descended the mountains. Her feet took her around the moutain to its back at a swift trot. Swirling air surrouding her body. It pelted her from the side and fell on her from above as an after blast off of the mountain. Barely being able to see the wolfess relied mostly on her sense of smell, since her hearing was obviously shot also. Wandering now she headed more toward the fog that played in the woods. It seemed to dance as the wind took it in complicated patterns; twisting and turning. Unfortunately she only caught mere glimpses of the ballet because of the wind.
Taking a wiff of fresh air a scent caught her off guard. A male wolf had wondered into her territory uninvited once again. Why in heaven's name had this been happened so often lately? It didn't matter though, she was still in a pleasent mood from this morning. Picking up the pace to a three beat gate the wolfess covered ground quite quickly. Fog swirled around her body in a cloak of gray, tapering off behind her. It was a picturesque morning to say the least. Transitioning to a walk the fae's fur flurried everywhere in a blow of wind.
Coming upon the male now she had to force her mask over the ever strengthening smile on her face. Her eyes went cold and her face showed no imotion. Holding her banner high she showed that she was of status. Walking into veiw of the male she could immediately tell he was a free lancer just from the way he stood. This male was no master coming to challenge her, it was quite obvious if you read his body language. Keen almost let that smile crawl back onto her face.

J a V v Y Javvy had no idea why he was out here again. He hated this place place almost as much as The Love and Lust fields. It was just a horrible place to be on his opinion, also he heard of a master wolf that lived here, definitely didn't improve his opinion of the place. If anyone valued there eyes they would never come here. He was out on his second patrol of all the territories of Sobibor, and he started with this place to get the second worst over with.
He was on the base of the mountain starting to climb up, the worst part. There was fog everywhere. He could barely see his feet when he looked down! Javvy always depended on his legs and eyes more than anything else, and here his eyes were pretty much useless. It was a continuing cloud of white wherever he turned and he was soaked from the wet fog. He hoped he was going up the mountain and not around it or down it. He stopped and shook himself. He couldn't even run either, or he would slip and break his neck! What kind of a place is it if you can't run there?
He looked around hoping to find even the smallest parting of the fog, but found none. If that wolf found him now he was dead meat. He groaned, sat down, and talked to himself. "Stupid fog... maybe it will get better later in the day... if I even knew what time it was NOW! For all I know it could be midnight!." He let himself fall into a sleeping position in hope for waiting out the fog.
He woke up with a start from a bad dream. He quickly calmed back down and soothed himself. He would normally have bad dreams about his family being attacked or about his brother coming back to haunt him for leaving him at the old land. He yawned and stretched his buff legs, begging again to be able to use them. His fur was fluffed and sticking out everywhere, he must have been rolling around in his sleep again. He looked around him, only to see the fog just as bad or maybe even worse. He only wanted to get out of this stupid fog and back into forests and plains where he could run freely.
He found from last time he was here that the best way for a bath in this place was to jog through the fog letting the moisture sink into his fur. He was just about to take off when he thought he heard breathing and turned around. "I can hear you, whoever you are."

"I can hear you whoever you are."
Keen laughed. Of course he could hear her. She wasn't trying to be all that quiet, though it probably would have been a good idea. The mask that had covered her face was breaking. Soon it would crack and splinter and fall from her great facade. Happiness shown in through her eyes and started to spread. Now she was smiling, her ears forward and her banner wagging.
Coming up within six feet of the oddly colored male she halted. If he did decide he wanted to attack her she would be ready. Just out of reach of a speedy attack and she was too fast to fall for that slow down at the end of a launch.
"Hello stranger. Would you please state why in the world you're here in my lovely terra?"
She couldn't help the smile that remained on her face. It would drive her nuts later that she couldn't keep her mask on her face, but for now it didn't bother her one bit.
Keen wondered if Thaw would find her here. She hoped he would. That would be so lovely. Her body itched to run and use her muscles. It would be nice to be able to burn some of this excess energy. The wolfess was ansty and seemed to almost shake while she stood there.
"I'm assuming you aren't here to challenge me. Though I could be wrong."
Keen doubted that she was wrong in this situation. Scanning through all the subtle signs of his body language she was almost positive. The male lacked the cocky stance of a male master and the forward aggresion also seen in a challenge. The urge to shrug was pushed down by the fact that he wouldn't know what she was signaling.
Waiting for him to reply the anxious wolfess began to get bored and even more fidgety, so she decided to play a game with hersel. 'Can I find a bird.' She looked left, then right. A chirp came to her ears and she looked up. There as a bird. 'Can I find a buck rub.' Searching with he nose first she found the scent of a buck. Looking toward the scent she found a buck rub and shed by a small to medium sized tree. Turning her attention back to the male she smiled at him, bored out of her mind.
ooc: sorry my muse is down and I kinda ramble...

Thaw
Unsure of why I did it, I followed Keen silently. Watching intently as she moved with grace and ease through the clinging fog. I was confident that the thick fog not only hid me from her eyes, but masked my scent from her nose. The only good thing about all this d*mnd fog that constantly shrouded this land. My feelings were running riot with me. I was confused, angry and at the same time happy. This wolf, she was the bane of my life, yet one I didn't regret. How strange that our tides had turned so completly? There was a time that I would have quite happily have ripped her throat out where she stood, and nearly d*mn well did. So how come now I wanted to be near her?
The scent of a male came to my nose, and careful not to reveal my prescence at this time I made my way down the mountain to where Keen confronted the male. She was a strong femme, I admired that in her, but she still held onto those ties of mastery sometimes. Yet none could dispute her claim of Alphenaship.
My first assessment of the male was one of weakness. He stumbled and tripped over this land like a bull. Disgust dripped from my lips as I snarled silently at the patheticness of this wolf. Somewhere deep inside I almost hoped that he had come to challenge Keen, not only would I then be able to watch my Alphena take this boy down, but he would be put in his place quite firmly.
I couldn't stand it, I had to make myself known. I rose from behind the shrubbery where I was perched, noting how the fog ebbed and swirled, I placed myself conviniently where I would suddenly be revealed from the shouding mists as they shifted with the gentle breeze. The dramatics were probably unnesscesary but I felt the urge to show off a little. My Alphess was watching, and one could never look too good before those of higher powers.
"Well well, what have we here? Keen if you wish me to be your right hand man then you should really bring me in on these little randevous of yours."
My voice was quite as my icy gaze bore into the male that stood not three feet away.

J a V v Y Javvy looked from one wolf to the other. He had a feeling that he may not get away with just a plain, "I'm an explorer" excuse. Who's ever heard of a wolf that just goes into territories aimlessly anyways? Especially a young wolf like himself that should be home with his parents. Unless more wolves than he realized knew about him. He let his body relax, but got into a sturdy pose. "I'm here because, even though I may not look like it, I'm an explorer, in a way. I travel from territory to territory to explore, and feel the rush of the wind through my fur as I run."
He couldn't think of any excuses so he had to try that one. Hopefully they would believe him, and he wouldn't find himself running for his life aimlessly through this fog. He may be pretty strong for his age, but an Alphess and much older burlier wolf against one two year old? He would never escape with his life. Javvy lowered his head as he was reminded that she was a Alphess. "I'm sorry I've trespassed through your territory." He hoped that they wouldn't think him a complete fool to go stumbling around in the fog, he recalled himself trying to get through it. He blushed. "I guess I went too far up. I've been trying to get out, but...well I'm not used to this fog."
He turned his head back to the other wolf. He didn't remember hearing about a second wolf living up here. He didn't like what he saw, another big tough male that thought that anyone near them was trying to fight them or take their position. Javvy was so glad he wasn't like that. He looked around again at the fog. It looked like it may be starting to get clearer, but then again, maybe it was just his imagination. He blushed again as he admitted, "I guess I'm lost." He grimaced. "Talk about embarrassing" He thought to himself. "Call myself an explorer and I go get lost in a bit of fog!"
He looked up again and saw everything just as he last saw. Keen standing in the fog and the other wolf standing not three feet away from him. He sure hoped they would understand, but he really didn't like how the burly wolf looked. He didn't trust him one bit.

Keen heard something behind her and braced herself to take a strike from behind for it was too close to turn around and she would rather be hit on the rump than have whoever it was bash her brains out. A small warning snarl came from her muzzle. It was unfortunate that she could not smell who it was, for the wind was against her, because she never would have done that.
"Well well, what have we here? Keen if you wish me to be your right hand man then you should really bring me in on these little randevous of yours."
That voice, it made her melt. Keen's muscles released themselves and once again she relaxed. The intense pounding of her heart must have woken wolves on the other side of the globe. A shiver ran down the alphess' spine but she forced her body to hold the leadership pose that looked natural on her from years of use.
"I didn't feel like waking you. The last time I did that to a wolf he attacked me and I didn't want to have to deal with it." A smile played upon her maw. "Don't worry though, you'll be waken up before the sun shines tomorrow."
Turning her gaze back to the male wolf in front of her Keen felt slightly nervous with Thaw watching her work. Holding her breathe she tried pushed those thoughts from her mind, ignoring her fluttering stomach, but she just couldn't get her mind off of those gorgeous eyes that were watching her and how they made her heart flutter.
"I'm here because, even though I may not look like it, I'm an explorer, in a way. I travel from territory to territory to explore, and feel the rush of the wind through my fur as I run."
Keen cocked her head to the side. She had never heard of a wolf being a explorer before. It was an odd profession for her type and she wasn't sure if she approved. Although Keen could relate with this male with her joy of running. To feel her muscles bulge and the crisp morning air sting her lungs; it was a glorious thing.
"I'm sorry I've trespassed through your territory. I guess I went too far up. I've been trying to get out, but...well I'm not used to this fog."
Ahh the fog. That would be tough for an outsider. If a wolf was not conditioned correctly any terrain could be treachorous. Though Thaw and Keen had found their way through the fog near perfectly when they had first arrived. It must be a matter of skill then. This male was young after all.
The wolf turned his head to Thaw, seemingly to size him up and judge him. Keen didn't like the wolf looking at her Thaw that way. Hmm, her Thaw. She liked the sound of that. He wasn't hers yet but maybe she could make him hers... The little male was still looking at Thaw in what seemed like disgust. A stern warning glance flashed across her face.
"I'm sorry."
Keen couldn't tell if this male was saying sorry to tresspassing or to looking at Thaw. It didn't matter all that much at this point though.
"You are forgiven I suppose. Mostly because I know an outsider would easily be trapped within the fog's grip." Keen didn't know his name yet but she was determined to find out. She didn't like calling wolves by 'male' or 'you' all the time. It got confusing. "If you haven't figured this out for yourself yet my calling is Keen. And my right hand wolf here," She jerked her head at Thaw. "Is Thaw, my commander. We are, let's say 'pleased to meet you.'"

J a V v Y Keeping a close eye on the male, who he now found out was named Thaw. He was going to be sure to watch him closely. He dipped his head again, keeping the stance that he was told to do when around a master. He guessed that calling was another way to say name. "I'm pleased to meet you too. Thaw and Keen huh? Nice names. My name is Javin, though you can just call me Jav or Javvy if you want."
Javvy looked around once again trying to see if the fog had cleared up, and once again still as thick as ever. He yawned and hoped it didn't offend the wolves. "So Thaw is her commander huh? Wonder what that's supposed to mean. She probably doesn't want me looking at him like that though." He took his eye off Thaw hoping that he wouldn't regret it.
"OK so I guess your gonna lead me out of here right? Then I can continue my exploring." He sat down on the moss covered rocks below him. He wondered where on the mountain he was. He still couldn't believe he got lost up here. He's been in worse places before, yet the fog always seemed to get him lost. He needed to see.
He felt Thaw's eyes burning into his fur. He really didn't understand these wolves. So much lust for power. It would always break his heart when he thought of what wolves like these would do to wolves like him for power. He was so grateful that these were at least considerate. They didn't jump into action and actually took thought. "I mean you will lead me out right? I can't get out of here any other way."
Now that he thought about what Keen said before he noticed that they also got up about the same time that he did. He also noticed that apparently they were together. He shook his head. They looked and seemed like they had completely different personalities. He sat there waiting for them to think things over and reply. They were so slow when it came to talking.
He looked up trying to see about what time it was behind the fog, that looked like it was starting to clear. It was finally starting to thin out. He started stamping his paw. He sure hoped they were faster at running than talking.

'So the roamer's name is Javin. Interesting.' Keen had never heard of such a name before. She wanted to roll it over her tongue and get the feel of it, but at the moment that wasn't possible. Javin sat down in front of Thaw and her; not a wise move wolf.
One of the first things her father had taught her was to always remain standing, no matter how much it hurt. Once Keen had been made to stand for three days straight. If she would have sat her father would have attacked her and she was not yet strong enough to deflect them. The muscles in her legs had ached as she stood there stock still, but still loose enough to brace a light attack. Keen smiled at the thought. Any wolves she would train personally would get the same treatment.
"OK so I guess your gonna lead me out of here right? Then I can continue my exploring. I mean you will lead me out right? I can't get out of here any other way."
That was a true enough statement. Though Keen always felt you should learn something from an experience and so far this male had learned nearly nothing. An idea came to her and a grin curled up on her maw. A chuckle burst from her lips and her eyes sparkled.
"Oh we will lead you out Javin, well one of us will. Since I am assuming you are completely lost this is how this will work. One of us will run the mountain in the middle of my terrain. The other will run to the outskirts of the land. You will choose which one of us to follow." Keen let her words sink in to give them a deeper meaning. "If you follow the right wolf you will be free. If not you will be led back to the mountain and will stay here for a month. In that time either Thaw or I will teach you how to navigate in the fog so that this type of misfortune never occurs again."
The wolfess stared at him, asserting her athority. It was a good plan to come up with off the cuff and she was really starting to warm up with it. Keen wasn't positive Thaw would see its brilliance but that was something she was willing to risk. She knew she really had no right to order a free wolf around but Thaw and her were the only ones who knew the way out, not to mention combined they were ten times the fighter that this wolf looked to be. Keen couldn't help it that she wanted this chance to use her upper hand. If Javin did end up staying with her he would be better off in the end no matter how much he detested it.
