Appearance: Tyko is not the most interesting wolf when you first look at him. Being a Great Plains wolf he is pretty much as large as one can get though he is far from on the plump side. He exercises regularly and has huge muscles that are painfully clear. His body is not sleek and streamlined because of this and he could be described as burly.
His fur is nothing special at all. He is a plain smokey grey and the only places where this colour changes is on his belly and just under his muzzle which are a dirty grey. He hates the fact he does not stand out much and compensates for his boring fur by streaking his face with mud so more often than not, you'll see his face with dirty, clumpy streaks running down it. Although he thinks this makes him look a lot more tough and war-like, to most horses and wolves it looks like he fell and landed on both sides of his face.

Personality: Born and bred in Sobibor, Tyko has known about slavery for all of his life. He detests the very thought of it and has dedicated his life to protecting those in need of aid though his some of his methods clearly didn't come from a genius. He's brave, loyal, strong, proud, daring and believes firmly in justice though to be honest he is slightly thick and is the type who would proudly make cheesy speeches without knowing he sounded completely ridiculous. He uses common words, uses cliché phrases and sometimes sounds like he doesn't have a clue about what he is actually trying to get across to others.
The thing that seems to redeem Tyko is the fact he was trained for this throughout his life. He was born to lead slaves away to freedom and was taught so vigorously by his parents he knows what to do in any situation and every single defensive maneuver you can get twenty wolves into. The more naive would look up to Tyko happily yet once all these pups grow up and become more intelligent they see that Tyko isn't actually that smart of a wolf and are put off.
Although in truth he is kind-hearted and warm, Tyko has a firm belief that wolves will not take him seriously if he is always nice so he tries to play the hardcore leader and tends to bark things into wolves' faces when they do wrong. Then again he gets very guilty after barking out some type of cruel punishment which he didn't think the wolf deserved anyways.
It is very easy to be scared of Tyko when you first meet him due to his ridiculously burly appearance and 'harsh' words but if anyone were to draw out his true personality they'd be in for a shock since in truth he is a very good wolf racked with insecurities about what others think of him and what he thinks of himself.
History: There is not much to say about Tyko's history really. He was born into a family that for generations had strongly disliked slavery and from the minute he opened his eyes, he was drilled continuously on fighting the enemy, slaves and how to protect those weaker than he. Like him, his father was not the smartest of wolves but the knowledge that had been carried down the generations had been drilled just as firmly into his head as was possible and no faults occurred in their training.
When he came of age he accompanied his father on many trips to save slaves and protect those they had rescued and for a while he lived happily like that though slightly disillusioned by his father's (also fake) grandeur. It was during one raid they were caught and were surrounded by at least ten other wolves. They were amateurs however and Tyko and his father would be able to take down some of them with ease if they weren't all fighting at once. They fought hard and did well but inevitably they could not kill all of them and to Tyko's horror his father fell in battle. In his final blows his father killed another three on top of the four they had already gotten rid of so Tyko only had to kill the others before he was free of the attackers.
Although his father would be sorely missed he did not let this get in the way and as soon as he heard the lands were being split into the north and south he took this chance to join the defensive squad that stopped smugglers. It was not long before he had reached the higher ranking positions and at one stage he even tried out for leader of the alpha wolves but they realized he was not exactly smart and decided on someone with more brains giving Tyko the job of protecting the weak just as he had been taught by his father.
