Full Name:
Farasi
Nickname:
Farasi's just fine
Breed:
Plains Zebra
Height:
14 HH
Gender:
Male
Appearance:
Farasi is literally the typical plains zebra. He's average height, size and weight of his species and doesn't hav2rfreed anything different about his body apart from the way his tail grows. It's all black apart from the very top which is a creamy white. However even if he's normal in his homelands he looks incredibly different from everyone else in Sobibor. He is shorter then most of the horses around him and sticks out from the crowd due to his black and white stripes. Although he may be small compared to most horses he is very strong and has a very good endurance which can take others by surprise. It's a good thing he takes pride in his differences otherwise he wouldn't survive one season in Sobibor.
Age:
6
Personality:
Farasi is a simple zebra who avoids fights where possible and is kind to all. He may seem and sound different to a normal horse but in reality he is just like any other. He firmly believes in someone being true to themselves and hates prejudice of any kind. He is however incredibly patient and prefers to politely hint to someone if they have caused offense or said something wrong and rarely 'looses his cool'.
It is very easy to think that Farasi is stupid since he has a heavy accent very different to those who live in Sobibor. His sentences also do not make sense sometimes due to the fact the dialect he spoke in his herd is slightly different to a normal horse's but that does not mean one should think Farasi is thick. In fact he is far from it. Zebra's are already very cunning equines but Farasi is also quite smart compared to the majority of zebras giving him an edge. He can plan and share out work very well and comes to conclusions about anything with logic and well-thought out plans.
He is a very warm-hearted soul and adores the company of others. He is very eager and bubbly when he wants to be he can be understanding as well. He has a very calm attitude to life and encourages curious behaviour and taking risks. Sometimes his decisions can seem very mad but there is always some logic behind his thinking.
History:
Farasi was born far away from Sobibor near the equator of earth. He lived in a large herd with his parents and lots of friends to play with when he was young. Although this would be the perfect life for most zebras Farasi was unusual and yearned for something different. This was very strange for a zebra and his parents often questioned him and asked why he needed to know about the world outside their own. But even he could not explain this so as a result he decided to run away and explore himself. Maybe see if he could find what was nagging him so much.
He trained his endurance and stamina knowing that if he ever came face to face with a lion then there would be no others to protect him and they would be his only defence . He found his feet carrying him north past places that he could have never dreamed of if he was with his herd. The winters became colder and the summers less intense and before he knew it he saw animals like his sisters and brothers but they were taller and they did not have the black and white stripes that he had seen so often as a child. Although their colours varied much more then a zebra's they found his appearance strange and a few times some horses were even so bold as to ask how he had obtained his fur. At first he was embarrassed but he soon learnt how to be proud of what he had.
It was not soon before he heard of a land called Sobibor where many horses roamed not as loners but diverse herds. Intrigued, he ventured into Sobibor and was immediately entranced but it was not soon before he caught sight of the slavery that was so common in this area. Shaken by the prejudice he vowed to take care of these slaves and save as many as possible from the hurt that they would suffer under cruel masters. He vowed to take care of them and create his own haven for all to roam. Weak or strong, shy or bold, zebra or horse.
