Do you control your own thoughts?
Full Name: Hostage Nickname: Tage Breed: Gelderlander Height: 15.3hh Gender: Mare Appearance: Hostage is a very black based dappled gray. Though she is definitely a gray, the gray is mixed with much more pepper than salt. From far out, you'd guess black, but up close, you can see the little ash ringlets sprinkled over her shoulders, barrel, and the high point of her rump. Her legs, on the other hand, are black. Her left front leg brightens it up with a stocking that goes straight up past her knee. Her head is black as well, but she had a blaze running from the start of her forelock to the tip of her nose. This blaze looks like it was smudged, as it thins out to only a few white hairs, but covers her left eye, which is blue because of this. Her mane falls just above her shoulder, and is pure pitch on top, but accented with a select few white hairs beneath it, which are only seen when she tosses her head. Her tail is black, but fades to an ashy gray toward the bottom.
Her build is that of a carriage horse, considering her breed, her neck is thick, set up high on her shoulders, but naturally arched. Her back is long, and her barrel lean. Tage's chest is broad, but refined, and her shoulders low and sloping, a sure sign of power. Her forelegs are big boned, making her footsteps heavy. She carries herself high, and her knees are always lifted up in over-exaggerated steps, from her carriage-pulling ancestors. Her haunches are strong by breed characteristics, and her hind legs big boned as well. But, much to the doubt of her heavy build, Tage is very light on her hooves. Age: Three Personality: Tage was never the most talkative foal of the bunch. She was very simple-minded, cautious, and gentle. Many accused her of being mute. A stupid, but benevolent little filly. Tage is quiet, very quiet, and speaks only when she has something important to say, or to help out an innocent equine. She's brave, but rarely shows it. She will stand through torture strong, and most of the time, stare right past you, caught in her own little world where she's not being beat down. Despite how lifeless she may seem, Tage has much spirit, she just shows it by ignoring what others may think about her. History: Tage was born to a slave, therefore a slave by nature. She was never curious, and always held by her mothers side. As a yearling, Tage became the laughing stock of the herd. Many times, a group of other yearlings would hang around her, whispering insults and giggling about it. As if she couldn't hear them. So she grew, teased and criticized. The others took advantage of her. "Tage did it, I saw her!" And no one would come to her defense, not even the older horses. Because they didn't care. At two, Tage gave up and fled. She wasn't quite sure how her half sisters would cope without their toy to joke about, but just like everyone else about her, she didn't care. She managed to stay hidden for a year, until she turned three. For that whole four changing of seasons, Tage didn't speak. Not once. Yes, she remembers, but just try and get her to break her personal record. She's still going strong. Picture: --- Master, Slave, or Free-Roaming? Slave
