Reid smiled yet again, as he heard Royce's grumbling. This whole event had turned into quite the comedy, in his eyes. He was very glad he decided to have a look. He pointed his muzzle over at the younger brute. And he talks to himself. Not the best trait if you ask me. Thoroughly enjoying how easy is was to tease this new found wolf, he eventually had to turn his attention back to the alpha.
Well, since you asked, I guess it's an offer. I mean, I'm only trying to save you from the fate of having this clumsy wolf who talks to himself as a beta. Plus, you two look like you could be quite amusing, with all due respect, of course Reid puffed out his chest, looking as big and dramatic as he could, thinking of how silly he must look, and laughing at himself.

Curelian eyes narrowed further and teeth barred yet again, although no noise came from within Royce's jowls. Oh this guy's just peachy... He thought to himself as he continued on with the unneeded insults. Roy really couldn't do much but sit there and take it, for he didn't know if Malice thought this moron capable of joining his pack. Either waym he'd have to watch his back once he left Malice's view.
Pools intent on that stupid male, Royce planted himself in his haunches to keep himself from lunging at the moron. What's this guys problem, anyways? You'd think a smarter wolf wouldn't mock the supposidly 'trusted beta' of a pack right infron t of the alpha. Idiot. Royce thought, keeping his complaints internal this time. To be honest, he wanted this Reid guy here. It's make it much easier to locate him for a face pound later.

The [M]alice in my heart This wolf had guts to insult the alpha and his beta, that or he was foolish. Still, he found all of this amusing. Royce seemed ready to tear Reid a new hide. A position for this wolf? Certainly not beta at least. He didn't think Reid could keep him mouth shut ending in Malice probably giving Reid a few 'gifts' of his own. Still, Reid seemed intelligent. If he was really willing to stick around he could settle for something else. He didn't consider himself all that pleasant to be around, much less amusing. Malice decided to give a little credit and humor Reid, "Unfortunately, for a beta I would rather choose one who talks to himself over one who thinks himself too worthy..." He prompted. Then Reid puffed out his chest, Malice rolled his eyes and tried to keep his passive face. Hides deep as personalities collide...

Realizing that this was obviously not the way to make friends here, judging by the reactions from both wolves, Reid decided it'd be best to maybe cool down a little. Still, he had to stifle his snickering at the alpha's comment. Yeah, right. I'm barely worthy for the pack at all. Still, he would very much like to seem as if he didn't struggle with his self-esteem at times.
Relaxing his overly dramatic pose, the grey wolf forced the ever-present smile temporarily off of his face in a attempt to be serious. Point taken then. I apologize for over-stepping my bounds. The potential new pack member respectfully lowered his head to his alpha, hoping to win some points. He couldn't quite help but to stick his tongue out a little at Royce, pulling it back in his mouth fast enough for only the new beta to see.

That's more like it... The gray beta thought to himself with a slight huff of disparsing annoyence. He wasn't one to hold a gruge, but he would hint that he was while flexing just to scare the piss out of his 'oponent'. However, he didn't forget and if provoked at a time in the latter, he would unleash his previously built rage without much hesitation. Royce wasn't a force to be reckoned with, and if he wasn't under the watchful, unwanted athourity of Malice he would have clocked this Reid kid a good one in the noggin for his blabbering mouth, unaware that he himself was no better in the subject.
However, just as the newcommer (although, yet again Royce seemed to misplace the information that he wasn't at all an 'elder' in the pack) had seemed to look more like a wolf than a fool in Royce's blue eyes, his tongue shot out in hsi direction. Roy quirked a brow and narrowed his eyes once more. You'd better hide that thing behind your teeth again before you lose it, bub. Royce muttered, directed at Reid this time instead of at himself.

Come to think of itMalice wasn't surprised as he apologized quick. He wasn't so easy on accepting it though. He instead watched the wolf for a minute, then turned to Royce, who had spoken out. 'What?' He though confused for a moment, then just guessed what had occurred. Pale blue optics looked back at the newest wolf, "What is your name?" He asked, that was a start of course. Bringing him into the pack would obviously cause both good and bad results. Royce and the wolf didn't look like they would exactly make the best friends. At least, not so quickly. This was really getting annoying, but he found himself waiting for the next thing to happen. I think red is a nice color for the floors.

Reid the brute answered quickly, glad to see that he wasn't completely rejected. At least not yet. Thinking more now that this had become fairly serious, he realized he had no idea about the pack he had set himself up to join. That was a mistake, as he needed to make sure that this pack wouldn't clash with his ideals. If you don't mind me asking, sir, could you tell me a little about your pack here? I mean, I just want to make sure I'm not making a mistake here, or something.
Now that that was taken care of, the light grey wolf turned his head to look, puzzled, at the beta. What did he say? Ha! He still talks to himself! This'll get fun! His smile returned, for two reasons, now. One, he was seemingly to be accepted into this pack, and two, is and when he was accepted, Royce would be an easy target for his pranks and such.

To be truthful, Roy was planning on further proving himself to his new alpha but this current situation didn't seem to be heating up. With a slight huff, Royce padded off into the backdrop, refusing to leave to scout until all things were settled. Plopping to the ground, her crossed his paws, laying his head atop them before sighing. Blue eyes scanned the area, locking on leaf after leaf as they fluttered and impacted with the ground. Auds pointed in the general direction of the two wolven bodies he was really not conversing with any longer.
Royce rolled his eyes as he listened to the newcomer yap. Who's to say that Malice would even consider him for the pack? (As if that would happen anyways since he nabbed Royce so fast). Rolling over onto his back, he lazily yawned as he watched a pair of birds flit their way through the raining leaves. Love... He thought to himself, smiling as the two flew to a branch and snuggled. Royce was not one to permanently settle down, not that he really could now that he was in a pack, but he was one for the ladies. A looker, a smooth talker, and not to mention 'manly'. He loved pups, but would freak if he ahd his own. He couldn't handle the responsibility, and would much rather spoil someone else's and hand them back. but that's just Royce.
//ooc: Ok, just have him fade into the background until I can really post with him. I'll let you know, guys.\\

Reid, he would indeed cause mischief in his pack. Make things a little more interesting in other terms. "There are currently five members of the pack, including myself. It is more or less a free pck unless slaves are brought here. Then it is up to the person who brought them here whether they should remain slaves, or become a regular pack member. The rules are basic, don't kill each other, don't force yourself on a wolf that isn't a slave, and make an effort to respect and obey the alpha." He said, rolling his eyes at the last one. "By the way, I do have a position open for General, if that is what you might choose." He added.

Reid watched as the beta wolf sulked into the background, obviously not entirely thrilled that he would be joining the same pack that he was in. Ah, the fun he would have with him. Listening closely to the alpha as he spoke, Reid was shocked, and somewhat flattered, to hear almost an offer as general. Well, I'd be flattered to take that position, if you deem me worthy, of course. Being general would certainly put a damper on his fun loving ways, but the grey brute was sure he could have fun in less destructive ways. He would obviously need to put the good of the pack in front of himself, in most cases. Reid was also hoping to get a chance to earn some points on the alpha, and this provided that opportunity.
//ooc: Sorry, kinda crappy post. But, I guess it'll do.\\

[[Alright, Malice hasn't logged in since Feb. 27. He's got a bit of a pack going here, and I play Royce, the Beta. I'm going to have a talk with ther person who plays Acantha and see if those two can take over until he returns, or if he returns at all. I'm archiving this, so please take Reid to the thread "His Queen Is Home".]]
