After leaving the meadows, she had taken a few days of rest, hiding within a tangle of bushes, attempting to sleep off her fatigue. Sleep...wasn't the problem. She hadn't eaten in two weeks now, well nothing expect grass, bark, and bugs...Sleeping now was becoming a waste of time that she could be searching for food. So, when her gut had finally become numb with the need to digest something, her brain responded by becoming focused only on finding food. Maybe she would even come across something dead already, and scavenge her way back to better health.
She was drawn by the overwhelming stench of blood, her focus was overshadowing what her other senses were telling her, perhaps to outweigh the fear of coming across others...It was very clear that there were more wolves around, perhaps there had been a hunt, perhaps they would let her have a few bites...just one or two. Her thin, tawny frame limped its way toward the smell, her leg was bearing very little weight, usually she kept it lifted from the ground completely. She often stumbled, without her tail to balance an already major disability. She was close...she could hear faint growls, howls, neighs?
As she drew closer, fear began to creep into her thoughts, the sounds became more evident, the smells more putrid. And then, the sight. Her eyes were wide, glued to what she had stumbled into. Many wolves and horses were being dragged away by more powerful animals, their cries, snarls, and gasps filled the atmosphere with a heavy residue of fear, anger, and betrayal. It overwhelmed it, jumping before her much like one of the nightmares she had during her attempts at sleep. Within seconds, her back arched, jaw opened, and every last parcel of food that had been within her stomach soon splattered the ground before her. She as frozen with a mixture of awe, fear, and disbelief.
Then it hit her...she needed to leave, quickly. She pivoted to turn, hobbling a few feet before being overcome with dizziness. Her lithe chassis swayed violently, causing her to tense up her good limbs, splay them, and hope that she would stay upright. Her eyes shut tightly, trying to regain composure. She focused on steadying her breathing, slowing her heartrate...anything to make her capable of moving again. She now realized how tired or weak she was, her muscles began to scream with the pain of sustaining her, she was racked with shivers, standing there quietly, amidst the chaos going on around her. Just a few more seconds...perhaps the dizziness will fade...and it did start to subside, but she was no where near ready to open her icy eyes back onto he world yet. Not yet...in a little bit...then she would leave this sickly place behind and maybe find food.

Zytico walked among the rows of slaves, disgusted, amused, and snickering at individuals. He walked up and down the rows, examining every inch of the slave market. He leaped off the rock, displeased with the lazy slaves, and loped over to the forest's edge, orbs stopping on a fae, emaciated and thin, weakness coming off in waves from her body. He slinked toward her, his maw covered in a smug grin. He walked in front of the vix, stopping her from attempting to continue to her destination, if she had one. He looked her over and looked into her pools, their look making him shiver with delight. "So..where is a poor vixen like you heading off to..alone?"

She could feel the heat from his body as he approached, every aching muscle clenched tightly. If she still had a tail, it would be clamped impossibly between her legs, but she only had a stub of about four inches, sticking to the side of her haunch. Her ears, one torn, were glue to the curvature of her skull. Before he came around to face her, she thought of taking off, her brain had it all planned out...but her body refused her wishes. And so she stood, half crouched, tense, shaking...her eyes closed again as his gaze hit hers. He said something...but she couldn't pay attention with her mind screaming at her. Why did her hunger always betray her?
If she were as pristine and happy as she had once been, she may have made a sly remark in good style with slight sarcasm. But, at this point in her mental status, she was hardly able to control her movement, let alone her speaking. Her eyes opened again, their lifeless icy blue glaring, wide-eyed, into the other's orbs. She blinked, breathed, and waited. Still thinking of how to get out of this, but her brain soon began to give her mixed signals, tangled thoughts, and proved of no use in this dire moment. Another wave of exhaustion hit her, or was it dizziness?
To her there was no difference, it didn't matter, because either way her meatless frame swayed violently. She tried to catch herself, placing her bad leg out to try and hold some stability. But, the mangled limb gave way with a sharp pain, to which she could not even vocalize a whine. She was one the ground, at least the front of her was, her shattered limb tucked under her, the other directly in front, and her hind limbs still held the back half of her up slightly. She didn't want to move or breath, but she lowered herself completely when her muscles cramped, eyes still locked with dull emptiness at the male.

Zytico smirked with delight as she fell, and clearly saw her as an easy target. He nipped her side to get her up and snarled showing that he was in control now. He slunk behind her, and shoved the fae forward. He wanted to ask her name but knew that until she was fed, she would not speak. Another something for the pack. She would be a good addition once she was rested and had eaten. He walked forward, intent on leaving for his rolling landscape.
ooc- just wait until I make a post in the castle grounds that says it's for Naomi. I'll include you in somewhere.
