Lunar decided to let it go. The mare was obvously older and wiser than her so she didn't argue. She still couldn't believe her father had done that. "I guess ur right" She said quetly her gait still choppy as so many conflicts flew through her mind. She decided to make the best of it and follow any and all orders that Darki gave her. "Im sorry for the rude question" She said quietly.

"I might be. It is just a guess. Your father was most likely a very wise old horse and thought it was best for you." Darki did not know wether the father had abandoned her or not, but she did not want this young mare to be upsetted by her past. She hated her past, but did not bring it up. That is what she now expected Lunar to do. "It is alright." Darki really needed this friendship to work so she could get trust.

Lunar smiled at the mare. She really liked Darki, she was friendly and she was trying to help. "I suppose he was" She said thoughtfully. Her gait became smooth and graceful once again with another mood change. She hummed queitly to herself and watched the trees and the birds fly through the air. "If i may ask where are we going?" She tried to ask politly not wanting her new friend to think down on her.

Darki started to gallop. She had finally won the trust she had been waiting for. "We are going to Canna. That is where my herd is. Soon, they approached a river. "Do you know how to swim?" Darki knew how to swim because that was one of the things that her nice master had taught her to do. She could swim very far and with grace, but she was not sure if Lunar could. That would determine everything.

Lunar followed Darki's lead and broke into a smooth gallop. 'Canaa' She thought. Not sure where this was she just shook it off. As they approached a river Lunar's eyes lit up. When Darki asked if she knew how to swim Lunar almost lept into the water with excitment. "Of course not very well but my mother taught me" She said proud that she could do at least one thing right since she left her home.

"Alright then. You can go across first." Darki was not sure if she shoud doubt what Lunar had said, but she waned to see if she was a liar. Darki trotted into the water and took a nice long drink. It was cold and refreashing for the long walk. They still had far to go though till they could get to Canaa. It would be until the afternoon that they would have to walk. For a very long walk would bring them many places.

Lunar grinned and bounded into the water. She waded until she was chest deep then paused for a second before pushing off and into the deeper river. Lunar did not struggle at all though she wasn't very graceful for lack of practice. Reaching the other side Lunar shook her coat and lashed her tail in a none agressive way to get the water off. Turning back to Darki she waited for her paitently.

"Good job Lunar." Darki was glad that Lunar was able to swim. It would save a lot of time for going around the entire river. Darki first waded in and swam with much grace across the river. It took only a matter of seconds for her to cross it. Unlike Lunar's crossing which took a couple minutes. Darki shook the water from her mane with just a twist of her head. She pointed her orbs twords the sky and sighed. This reminded her of when she was with her mentor.

Lunar beamed with the praise. Though she was kinda fustrated that it took her minutes to get across the river and it took Darki only seconds. Waiting for the mare to tell her where to go Lunar also looked up at the sky wondering where her mother and father would be. She hoped they where okay. Sighing she lowered her head to take a quick drink and to nibble on some grass. She raised her head awaiting for Darki to lead the way.

Darki sighed and walked over to a tree and said, "This way." She started walking again and wondered if her parents were dead. It was most likely since her old master was so cruel. She decided that the next lesson would be how to walk on water. That had a special secret to it and barely any horses could do it. Only the most respected mares and stallions were taught. She would teach Lunar to do so as soon as she was respected by the rest of the herd.

Lunar followed Darki over to the tree. Lunar was lost in her own little world at the time thinking of the times she was free and what she would do when she was free again. Taking her time carefull not to run into a tree or trip over a rock. She sighed as she walked all she wanted to do was go home and be with her mother and father. She wanted to run with the herd again and feel the wind whipping her mane and tail.

"Lunar, do you know of Pittsburgh or Skylark?" Darki knew that Lunar might know where Canaan was if she knew the horses that were members of the herd. Darki tried to be hopeful that they would be there by the afternoon and not the morning. She knew that Lunar would enjoy walking on water. It was very fun. But, to be sure, Darki questioned her. "Lunar, do you know any horses that were able to walk on water?"

Lunar thought for a moment. "No i dont know them" She said. When Darki asked her if she knew any horses that could walk on water she almost laughed. Quickly containing the laughter she replied. "No i dont think so" She was interested in why Darki thought horses could walk on water. "Do you know any horses that could?" She asked politly. Lunar shifted her wheight to three legs and rested her back right hoof.

"That is too bad. They are very great horses." Darki knew that Lunar thought she was crazy, but she would show her. "Well then. I guess you are blessed to be in the presence of one." Darki knew the secrets of walking on water. She would have to share them with Lunar eventually, but for right now, they had to stay secret. She would show her and tell her about the past horses that could and then share with her the secrets.

Lunar looked shocked. "You can walk on water" She looked closely at Darki to see if she had missed something. "Can you show me?" She really wanted to see Darki walk on water. If she was telling the truth then maybe she could teach her how to walk on water. Prancing around a bit she kept her eyes on Darki. She was very excited. I mean it's not everyday you meet a horse that can walk on water.
